Very good. Located a little outside of the center, but with its own brewery and its own good (and very popular) restaurant. I managed to somehow get an extraordinary deal which included a 3-course-dinner with matching beers so I was very happy. Very good breakfast.

Room is slightly old fashioned, but clean and fully functional. The only thing missing is perhaps A/C.

The green option is a nice touch. Free beer instead of daily cleaning. Good for everyone. :)

I would happily stay here again should I visit Trier again.

Dear 879sven_, thank you very much for your honest review. We are pleased that our restaurant with its brewery, our regional dishes, our extensive breakfast as well as our always clean rooms have remained positive in your memory. We have decided against air conditioning for environmentally friendly reasons. Alternatively, we offer our guests a standing fan on the 3rd floor. Our rooms are furnished in a country house style, which is why some of our guests find it "old-fashioned". We are very much looking forward to your next visit and wish you all the best until then. With very kind regards, Your Blesius Garden Team

My second visit here and it didn't disappoint and was better than I remembered. The weather was great, so enjoyed a pleasant early evening drink in the beer garden. It goes without saying the beer is excellent. Good brasserie fare in the evening too. The breakfast though was the best of our European road trip with a great variety of items and a very hot ginger shot!

This is a large hotel a few kilometers outside Trier in a quiet residential area. It is extremely popular with guests and non residents and deservedly so. The rooms are clean fairly large and nicely appointed. Staff especially in the restaurant/brewery were very good

I'd have thought that any hotel aiming at tourists would staff its front desk with personable, helpful staff. Think again! Indifferent, unhelpful and unutterably rude are just some of the descriptors that spring to mind. Wo betide the guest that, in the opinion of these little martinets, steps out of line. Wow! Given the choice I'd never cross the threshold of this place. Too scary by half.

A nice hotel, but with a few things to bear in mind: first it is a way out of town, so you need a car or a taxi. Second, it has a very popular beer garden which runs late into the evening, so rooms that overlook this (which is most of them), can be noisy… and smoky if you open the windows in a room above the large crown of local diners! Friendly staff and a great swimming pool.

We were looking to stay at place off the beaten track on route to Paris with easy parking for our motor home. We also wanted to have a rustic German experience and not worry too much about luxury. We had managed expectations and kept an open mind we had a nice welcome to the hotel by the staff who were very helpful throughout. The room was a good size nice, clean and comfortable the hotel also brews its own beer, which was lovely. We ate in the hotel restaurant which served a very nice food but we had a long wait to receive our meal. On the whole we had a very enjoyable stay and we had our rustic German experience along with fine beer. Thank you for making our family so comfortable.

What a find and what a wonderful town. Hotel is a twenty minute walk from the old town walls and is served by a regular bus service. Set in a quite green spot with lovely gardens, it's own brewery and good restaurant, this was a true find. Clean, comfortable and a swimming pool thrown in, what's not to like? Trier itself a real gem with history to suit all tastes and periods - including the birth place of a certain Karl Marx. Good food, excellent wines from the region and good shopping. A great weekend break location, the hotel was a perfect respite from the sightseeing.

This was our second visit. Our first being about 10 years ago when there were just the two of us. This time we took our 7 year old daughter and our dog. It was better than I remembered it. The food was great, the room was lovely. It was an easy walk into Trier following the stream and walking through the gardening villages. Our dog was very welcome, they put a dog bed and treats in our room, there was also a sign to put on the door incase we had to leave him in the room. We didn't as he was welcome in the bar and restaurant. Whilst the service at the hotel was very good, the booking process was not easy. I sent email requests to the hotel prior to booking and they did not answer. I eventually had to phone to book and ask my questions.

I have been an international business traveler for over 30 years, and encountered the good, bad and ugly as far as Hotels, The Blesius Garten is by far one the best hotels I have stayed at. The whole establishment runs like a 'swiss watch'. From the moment you enter, the greeting is warm and friendly, not canned. There are three restaurants for your cuisine choice. The braustube is a relaxed atmoshere where you can find their latest seasonal beers on tap direct from the brewery to you. Outside dinning is available in their wonderful garden, however this where the smokers congregate. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and priced to please. Don't miss the Sunday brunch.

Dear Mgruen2, you have to get out at Trier Hauptbahnhof (main station). Than you can take a taxi to our hotel wihich will cost around 10 Euro or you are takng the bus (nr. 6 or 81) which are leaving every 20 minutes and you are getting out at Retzgrubenweg. More detailed information you can find on our website. If you want to walk it will take around 40 minutes, from the station to the Kaiserthermen and than direction Amphitheatre. From the Amiphitheatre to Olewig. Kind regards Monika Tonkaboni

Hello, I will not have a car. Would this be within walking distance to town? Thanks!
Answer from Tonkaboni M
Trier
Dear Cheymorni, you could walk to the city centre which takes around 25 minutes. But there is also a bus station just next to our Hotel. The bus ist driving every 20 minutes directly to the city centre. Another possibliy is to walk to the romain Amphitheatre (takes just 5 minutes) and take from there the Hip & Hop sightseeing bus where you can leave and get in the bus at every sight in the city for the whole day. Kind regards Monika
