This hotel is less than 10 minutes from the main attractions in Trier but it is very quiet. The rooms are small but comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is copious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable for a hotel of this quality.
Hotel situated near the Porta Nigra. The room is clean, bathroom is aged but clean too. There are parking spaces avaliable near the hotel. The breakfast is good, choice of meat, cheese, and very good bread.
It is unlikely I could have chosen a better place to stay in Trier. Unfortunatelly I only stayed one night. Quiet street, a stones throw from the Porta Nigra and town centre. Bed excellent Room spacious with cupboard including enough hangers. Good bathroom. Breakfast was a cut above most of the hotels I have visited over the last few years. If you are thinking - what makes breakfast any different to other hotels ? - then think "fresh". Good coffee in individual pots. Staff were very good and I didn't need to use my broken school kid German. On the negative side, the room carpet had a big stain of something spilled. Hardly the fault of the hotel, but it was noticeable and these sort of things are not something I particularly look for. Also, minor but the shower head was of an old type which had needle like jets, so not relaxing shower. (maybe I could have altered this)…
I slept better here than I have almost anywhere. The gentleman working on nights and mornings I was there is a proper innkeeper. He remembered me by name and addressed me by it the next day(s). Everything there was clean and modern-looking. There were some eclectic interesting, good books on the shelf in the hallway for guests to read, including a lovely children's book of fairy-tales, like ones I would have had as a child, but in written in German. There was parking on-site in a small garage, but it is a very tight fit. My Opel Astra was squeezed going into it!…
Casa Chiara is in a quiet street in Trier, not far from the Porta Nigra, the excellent tourist information centre and the old town. It is an easy bag wheel from the Hauptbahnhof to the hotel and a simple walk to the wharves on the Moselle. We had a well set up and impeccable room on the fourth floor; just the place to relax after a day’s touring concluding with a great meal at the authentic Zum Domstein restaurant in the Hauptmarkt. This is a friendly hotel with faultless breakfasts and care for guests. Trier is a marvellous place and the Casa Chiara added to our experience. I would love to be in Trier at Christmas.…
