The hotel is a decent walk from the main tourist attractions, which are across the river, and about 40 minute walk from the station. However, the rooms was spacious and had a balcony. As it was rather warm, we could leave the door to the balcony open at night, cooling off the room. Even with that door open, the room was very quiet. There is no airconditioning or fridge in the room. I got the wifi working on my laptop, but we could not get it working well on either an iphone or a Samsung phone. One can leave luggage in the restaurant, but it is rather exposed. Breakfast was buffet, not ideal under current circumstances, but was very nice and well worth the 5 euros it cost.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this hotel is ok to book if you are on a budget and have a car or don't mind using the bus. The walk to the historical centre is long. The breakfast was largely ok, although the coffee from the urn was quite disgusting. We had a triple room. There are three separate beds (not a double and a single) and the mattresses were a bit soft. More importantly, they all creaked. So if one person can't sleep, all the people can't. The worst thing about the hotel is the smell, though. It stinks of mold, old tobacco and dust in the carpets (and not sure what else). The smell is especially horrid on the ground floor (where the restaurant is), but is also there in the corridors upstairs. In the room it wasn't so bad.

Stayed 1 night in the hotel, that is very close to the Moselradweg. Friendly welcome. It is a simple hotel, good for a quiet sleep and a a hot shower, but without any luxury. The room was clean and old fashioned, and had a balcony with seats and a view at construction works. It is possible to walk from the hotel to the city center of Trier. Bicycles can sleep in the garage. Breakfastbuffet is good with all you need. There is a restaurant, but we did not eat there.

I booked this hotel at the last minute for a short break in Trier. The hotel itself is on the edge of town on the opposite side of the river from the town centre, but it's just a short 15-20 minute walk over the bridge and into the heart of the old town.

The hotel itself is easy to find on a reasonably busy road, however the rooms themselves are set in a complex to the rear of the main building, meaning that you aren't disturbed by any traffic noise at all (we had the windows open every night and didn't hear anything). The room and en-suite bathroom was clean and tidy, and also came with its own small balcony. The TV had one English (CNN) and one French (TV5) channel, plus plenty of German channels. The furniture was a little spartan and there were no tea and coffee making facilities, but that was the only minor downside. The free WiFi was very good with a strong signal - just remember to ask for the code at reception.

Breakfast was included in the price of the room and was served until 10 am. A brilliant spread of bread, croissants, meats and cheeses, yoghurt and cereal. At lunch and dinner times the hotel restaurant serves a range of Bulgarian and German dishes. We ate there on one night (choosing two meals from the Bulgarian section) and were thoroughly impressed at both the quality and the price.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel represented great value for money, especially in a town like Trier where hotels can (and do) charge a fortune. A perfect base from which to explore Trier and the surrounding area.

I stayed at the Hotel Feilen Wolff on the way home from a week at the Hotel Enzian in Landeck - Trier being a reasonable mid point for the journey. I was attracted to the hotel by the promise of secure motorcycle parking and I was not disappointed in this respect. The hotel has a large garage at the rear of a secure (gated) courtyard which only guests can access.

The hotel itself is fairly basic but that is reflected in the price of the accommodation. When booking online (booking.com) the only availability was a single room and a triple room. We wanted two singles but took what was available. When checking out they asked us why I had booked a triple room when they had singles available - I explained why and the only charged me for a single. I thought this was very honest and was very much appreciated.

For dinner we strolled into town which took about 20 minutes. Later on we had a drink in the hotel/bar restaurant - the food looked good and reasonably priced.

Breakfast in the morning was excellent - very fresh (the bread was still warm from baking) and a wide selection.

In summary: a reasonable, clean, well run establishment in a good location... with secure motorcycle parking. Fantastic!

This is a basic hotel, somewhat dated but nice and clean and with a very pleasant manager. It is on the opposite side of the Mosel river from the town center so it's a 20 minute walk to the Porta Nigra.

The hotel has a couple of free parking lots behind the hotel, parking along the main street in front was also free.

The breakfast is nice and keeps you going until the afternoon.

If you can't find a hotel in the town centre I would recommend this one.

This is a family run hotel where one feels really welcome. Although the hotel entrance is on a very busy road, the rooms are in another building facing a tiny back-street which is a heaven of tranquillity. Room was very clean and the added advanatge of a spacious balcony with table and chairs, which can be used on warm evenings. Another advantage is the restaurant in the hotel which serves excllent grilled meat dishes from the Balkans, with large portions and, as the rooms, very good value for money. Make sure you try the Macedonian coffe at the end, a kind of Turkish coffe served with an excellent pear liquor next to it. If you are goin to Trier, definitely consider this hotel!

again, its the routine here: no a/c, no elevator no alarm clock. You need double room, even if you
are solo on this trip: the beds are too small and tucked against the wall. The hotel shares a residence with other homes, but the entire facility is properly made and maintained.

Stopped at this small family run hotel whilst travelling by motorcycle through Germany with my lovely wife (she made me put that!). Chose the hotel prior to the trip mainly because of location/price. Warm welcome when we arrived one day early and asked to stay for two nights. My Harley was safely stored in a secure garage and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet residential area on the north side of the Mosel river, adjacent to the main road bridge from which the town centre was only ten minutes walk. There is a small supermarket five minutes away, together with a multitude of restaurants and bars. Trier is a young and lively university town, packed with enough history and shopping to suit all tastes. Breakfast was good (continental) and plentiful. The rooms are quite spacious and we were lucky enough to get a balcony, although not all rooms have one. Not luxury accomodation by any stretch of the imagination but certainly clean, honest value for money and we would highly recommend it.

Very clean, quiet, simple rooms; safe-feeling hotel and area. Could walk everywhere in about 10 minutes. No need for cabs. Great hike behind hotel to Mary's column. Owner very helpful. The best schnitzel in all of our month-long travels though Germany.
