Close to train station, 10 to 15 minutes easy walk to centre, spacious rooms, good breakfast, located in Neustadt (nee town) with a lively pedestrian zone with many cafes, restaurants and art galeries.I had booked the welcome package : 2 nights with breakfast, 4-course candelight dinner, wine tasting, and got a large suite with beautiful furniture.Wifi worked well in my room and the staff was friendly.
There is no A/C,and there is noise from the street when you open the window, so ask for a room in the back.

First, if you were looking for a fancy place with major thrills....this isn't the place for you. It's a an 1800's style hotel, renovated a couple of years ago and offers charm and old fashion hospitality. Rooms come with the tall ceilings, ultra-modern bathroom (large), and a good mattress. Look for the deal with them for dinners included in the price (they only do three or four nights a week) because you get a great cook who does four-star gourmet cooking. Breakfast is great, and the service from staff is simply above anyone's expectations. All this said, Wi-Fi is free but the signal is weak getting into each room, and the pub area is the only place where you might get good reception. A small outdoor cafe is on the backside, and very inviting on warm evenings. Ask for a room on the backside, if temperatures are hot....because of traffic on the front side of the hotel. Note, as long as you keep the windows closed, there's absolutely no noise in the room.

Now, some...
