Great, good price, not so far from the centre of the city (10min tram), clear room, friendly staff, rich breakfast buffet, recommend for stay, parking in the garden, plenty of city materials and maps, room close to the reception could be (not noisy)

I stayed in the Pension am Grossen Garten for 4 nights. Perfect room with a good bathroom (daylight) and perfect breakfast. City Centre is only 10 minutes away with 2 tram lines. Day tickets for public transport also available at the pension. Near to Grosser Garten, with is a lovely place in spring.

This pension is located on then outskirts of the city but is only a 10 minute tram ride to the centre. As the name suggests it is close to the Grossen Garten park which is a pleasant and rleaxing spot for a walk. The hotel is sound and acceptable, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is adequate. The Pension was just perfect for our stay. Very professional and helpful hosts. The breakfast was superb! The staff and management team were very helpful and forthcoming. Though we stayed for only 2 nights, the comfort and warmth of the Pension made our visit to Dresden memorable. Overall a great experience!

2 of us stayed here for three nights in May 2012. Nive large room with good bathroom and TV, a very complete breakfast (try the scrambled eggs with ham). A short tram ride to Altstadt & daypasses are available at the registration desk. What rea;;y o,[ressed me was the problem-solving ability of three ladies on the staff: I had a... More

While the reviews of the property were somewhat mixed, we selected the Pension primarily because of its promise for easy access to the historic section of Dresden. We were not disappointed as the strassenbahn routes 1 and 2 were very close by and ran frequently with a travel time to the city's center of less than 15 minutes. What did... More

Located just at the tail end of a large multiacred park, this pension is just a half block away from the tram stop. Frau Sylvia Ewald, the proprietor, will sell you tram tickets on your arrival. There is a 7 E tram pass for two, good for 24 hours from validation. Either tram 1 or 2 takes you directly to... More

This B&B in the outskirts of Dresden (fairly far from the center of the city) left me cold. We rented two rooms and they were both kind of spartan. But that was OK because we did not come to stay at the pension all day. The rooms were clean and the showers hot. As others have commented, the service was... More

Just got back from a brilliant weekend doing the Christmas Markets in Dresden with our friends. We stayed at the Pension Am Grossen Garten for three nights and we couldn't fault the place. Sylvia Ewald runs the place to a very high standard and the rooms are well furnished , spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. She made us... More

Clean and modern with excellent service. On a dead-end street, very quiet day and night. Yet only one block from several trams and buses - with the city's very worthwhile daily or weekly ticket (sold right there) one can explore the greater Dresden area. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, egg dishes made to order. Be prepared to pay... More
