Stayed twice. Both times very disappointed with the reception "welcome" upon arrival. Second time we came with my colleague and he was more disappointed tha I was just because of a very unprofessional attitude by a reception person (unfortunately don't remember her name). Unfriendly, indifferent. Same about Karl May bar. Absolutely indifferent. It's really a pity as the location is really...

Beautiful palace just off the Semper Oper. The hotel is a jewel. Our room was spacious, so was bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, rich buffet. I agree the room would need some refurbishment but still this is a classy hotel. The poor part of the hotel is staff. Of course they are friendly and professional. Definitely not attentive...

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Check-in was very efficient. We are Black members of GHA and therefore we got a room upgrade. The furniture in the room is outdated. The layout of the room is good. We had a sitting room and a bed room, a bathroom with bath and shower and a separate toilet. We are tall,...

Just like Dresden itself, this hotel is an amazing mixture of past and present. The building itself looks like a castle and is surrounded by several historical landmarks. Once you go inside this feeling continues with the old-style statues and staircases. The rooms are totally renovated to a much more modern touch. I have to mention that the staff was...

Pool has details of maintenance (tiles) which is not corresponding to Kempinski hotels. Check always upgrade possibilities we got one for 22 euros and was excellent...

From the balcony of the Zwinger, you can catch the view across the road to a classic palais. Today, this is the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski, a five-star hotel that’s part of the excellent Kempinski group. Yesterday, it was the palace built for the mistress of August the Strong, conveniently located just next to the Royal Palace of Dresden. The location couldn’t...

A great hotel to give yourself a treat in. The bedroom was large with high ceilings, same with the well appointed bathroom including twin sinks, huge bath and separate shower. Furnishings and fittings throughout impeccable as was room service. I did not get to explore all the amenities as I was attending a busy conference leaving me little time to...
