The view from our room 1102 was awesome. That's about all I can say. The staff was not helpful at all. Maybe because we are Americans? Not sure When I asked the receptionist if she could help me make a call since I was having cell service problems, she was unable to help since she wasn't on the clock yet....

We chose this hotel for our 3 night stay due to the location. They booked us in a room on the 11th floor. The view was absolute spectacular. The room was very comfortable but I would agree with a previous review that it would get hot in summer as they only have a fan. Some staff were better than others...

This is one of those old hotels, who keep their level high nethertheless their age. It looks a bit old and unfashioned from the outside but the quality of service is very high. I cannot fully review this hotel because I left after just arriving! There was a heat wave in Dresden (85 degrees F) and when I arrived from the airport and was given my room, I thought I would die. It was like an oven. No air conditioning and a small ineffective fan. I left for another hotel. Too bad because...

Attended at this hotel with friends for a weeks stay . Hotel was spotlessly clean . Rooms were big and had mini bars within . Room services every day . Plain looking from the outside but truly nice inside! Charming and knowledgeable employees deliver great service. Huge rooms, comfy beds, modern bathrooms, all very clean. Great breakfast in the park (or inside, your choice). Locked shed for bicycles available.

The history of this hotel is fairly obvious - a Soviet-style monolithic building that has been partially updated to cater for post-unification visitors to Dresden. The view was nice and the room was spacious, but everything else about this hotel was truly awful. The area is ugly and boring, the decor and furnishings are ancient, the shower was tiny with no water pressure at all, and the internet I paid for only worked for a few seconds at a time (when it worked at all.)...
