I was a bit surprised when a saw the interior in the restaurant in this hotel. The restaurant is as going back to the 15 century. I was nice to try. The food was good. I got duck. The hotel was fine, and the breakfast god all you need.

Room was clean, breakfast was great and the meter of chicken my son order for dinner was fun. Would have given it an excellent if a staff member hadn't ask us if we were Canadian then finding out we were Americans seemed a little disgusted. I promise most American aren't that bad and we LOVE YOU GERMANY !!

Had a renovated single room with quite a bit space (room 7). Recommended. Good breakfast buffet. Free wifi. Satellite TV. No fridge. No safe. No air conditioning. You need to book ahead of time for the medieval dinner party with music and entertainment.

Cozy hotel with accent on old Germany. Staff dress in period costumes, restaurant serves authentic recipes from the 1500's (Luther's time). Walking distance to Wartburg Castle, the downtown areas, and the Luther House. Room was good-sized, shower was great. Note: this is an older hotel, with no elevator. The stairs are narrow and steep. The hotel is on a busy... More

We stayed for one night and were happy to leave. Although we did stay in the main house there is nothing nice about it. The room was tiny, facing a parking lot and a noisy street. We had to sleep with our window closed - which was really not comfortable considering the small size of the room. Apart from that... More

A very good 3 star hotel with it's unique medievel restaurant. Rooms are clean and comfortable and pleasantly furnished although on the samll size. Incredible hard working staff with the receptionist greeting guests, helping in the restaurant and generally doing some amazing multi tasking! Great location to visit the Wartburg castle Christmas market which is one of best located and... More

Didn't get any sleep from 6 a.m. because there was banging from other parts of the building, something like building work. Obviously, there is no respect for guests' need for rest. Also, mattress cover and duvets were fully synthetic - not pleasant. Otherwise, staff was nice and helpful. I liked the cosy Medieval-style dining room.

Stayed here on our last leg of a European touring holiday; small, but clean & comfortable room. Limited parking outside hotel. English spoken at reception, very helpful staff - it's family run, like most of the best German hotels. Had evening meal in their tapas theme restaurant - wonderful waitress, she spoke only Spanish & German, but we managed to... More
