The hotel is well located near the Russian Orthodox chapel in the cemetery and close to the Bauhaus academy, Goethehaus and other attractions. The Ilm Valley Park is just minutes away. My arrival by taxi was marred by a driver who twice used his mobile phone on the short trip from the station. Despite its location and olde-worlde charm, the... More

This is a really good hotel and having seen what else is on offer in Weimar, we would certainly choose to stay here again. Very friendly and accommodating staff made us welcome from the start. The hotel has lots of character and whilst there is no lift, I would far prefer that to some of the soulless modern hotels you... More

Many more pluses than minuses. First, the location is great. Walking distance to whatever you might want to see in Weimar. Five minutes to Goethemuseum. There is a great deal to see and enjoy in Weimar and many good restaurants. Second, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Third, one of the most nicely arranged breakfast offerings... More

I agree with a post below that says the hotel is better than it looks. The interior is very modern and clean and the room we got (a lovely corner room) was really quite big. It's a more basic hotel and nothing fancy but good value-for-money, I think. The staff at the desk were also personable and helpful. Good breakfast... More

Apart from there being no cross keys concierge (This is a small hotel ;-) the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable, and breakfast buffet fantastic. Conveniently situated for Bauhaus uni and park. Ten mins walk to town centre. Will stay there again - Highly recommended :-)

The hotel is situated on the edge of the old town next to the pleasant wooded historic cemetery and near to the Bauhaus University and the Park on the River Ilm. Reception was efficient. A €1 / night surcharge (some sort of City Tax) is added to advertised prices. The room was fair sized (single occupancy of double), a little... More

When you arrive it looks more like an apartment block, but once through the door it all changes. From the warmth of the welcome by the friendly helpful staff, to the quiet clean rooms, it's all you need for a stay. The breakfast buffet is perfect and continually well stocked. How many times do you arrive late to find you... More

We stayed one night at Hotel Furstenhof in Weimar, and the location was perfect for access to the Altstadt. Just a few minute's walk gets you into the heart of Weimar; the Rathaus, Markt, the Deutsches Nationaltheater, and both Goethe and Schiller's houses. The hotel staff was friendly; the rooms clean and safe, and the breakfast very good. The management... More

The hotel is located close to the town center (5-10 mn walk). The welcome at reception desk was very friendly, thank you to the young lady who gave good information for a restaurant. The rooms were not so large but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nice. The rooms on the park are quiet but the ones on the... More

Hotel is little and nice, location is good. People there very friendly. Breakfast good, with good choice of fruit and yogurt. The thing i liked a little less is the room decoration, very basic, kind of old style. But in general had a good stay, if I am back to Weimar I will stay there. Free wi-fi connection.
