We stayed three nights at Patagonia Sur in Cadiz, the location couldnt be better, The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered was adequate for the price,
It is also very clean. We have stayed in Many Hotels and Hostals in Spain, I would consider this a Hostal not a Hotel. There is no lounge area, The Cafeteria/Bar only serves breakfast, and the Bar is attended by the reception desk, Our room was very small with only one hard backed chair at the desk, so we had to sit on the Bed. There was no Tea/Coffee maker and the Mini-Bar was not stocked, the reception told us it was because of Covid restrictions. Its location in the Old Town means that only public car parking is available, however there is large undergound parking within 5 to 10 minutes walk.

Certainly our location is excellent and we appreciate the special mention to our staff. We hope you had a pleasant stay. The establishment is officially a three-star hotel and we inform you that it has more spacious rooms at a slightly higher price. Finally, we inform you that we have suppressed our breakfast buffet for a continental breakfast (Covid-19) and that the staff offers the best options for parking in the area. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Nice outward appearance and our room was available for check in. Nice room with king bed, lamps and plugs on both sides of bed. Nice table, with lamp and coffee pot and fixings. Plenty of room for working on electronics. Wi-Fi works well. Two luggage racks, very unusual. One full wall of cabinet space with safe. Refrigerator under the desk. Spouse was not happy with the tub/shower combination, but management put strips of non-slip material on the tub floor. Bathroom nice size. Breakfast costs 5 Euro each and is inclusive, probably better
then we can do on the street.

Three of us stayed in a family room at this hotel (it had two bathrooms!), and we thought it was a very good value. We also used the breakfast buffet, and it was very good. The hotel staff was helpful and very nice. I would NOT recommend driving to the hotel. Find a parking lot on the outskirts of the old town and use a taxi.

Spain was much poorer in the 80s, and I can see people having to stay at a place like this then. But it's 2021, and the standard for hotels is much higher now. My room had the size, charm, and lighting of a prison cell. Everyone was packed in so tightly, and the walls were so thin, that I could hear everything from the person a couple of feet away behind the wall to my left, and another to my right. And the room hadn't been maintained well, see my pix.

The property is in a good location, but so is every hotel in old Cadiz, since it's such a small place. If you do get stuck in this place (and you should choose it only if you're desperate, like I was), the breakfast is very basic, but still a good value at only 5 euros.

Your comment is absolutely inappropriate and disproportionate. We have different types of rooms available and please do not stay with us out of "desperation". Fortunately, even though we are not perfect, we have many clients who value our facilities, services and dedication. And yes, you are right, we are in 2021, where you can damage the image of an establishment for free without any just cause.

The staff at the reception is superficial, disrespectful and sarcastic towards hotel guests. The hotel’s owner (Osvaldo) was aggressive for the most meaningless reasons, without any sort of respect or boundary towards other guests in the establishment. I have travelled the world and been in hundreds of hotels, and I have never seen anything like this.

Places like this ruin the amazing vibe of the city of Cadiz. Unless you want to be verbally abused, shouted at and treated extremely badly, do not go here. Cadiz offers WAY better and welcoming solutions, where you can feel treated as a normal guest.

Well situated hotel, only a stroll from the train station and central for getting around Cadiz. Nice spacious room with rooftop terrace facing the cathedral.
Nice bathroom with good shower and good range of toiletries.
Decent continental breakfast in the morning with good coffee.
Walking distance to a large selection of bars and restaurants and easy access to Caleta and Victoria beaches.

We appreciate your excellent evaluation and that you highlight our location, in the heart of the city. It is very easy to get to know the city from our location, a few meters from the Cathedral. We are glad to know that you enjoyed one of the rooms with a private terrace and beautiful views. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Breakfast is a recommended option. Location is fine, one minute walk from Cadiz cathedral.
The hotel is extremely over rated.
Breakfast was good but this is just a very basic hotel with small room, small bed, poor bedding, and low soundproofing of doors.
Staff is not friendly.
For us, during our overall stay in Andalusia, this our worst experienced and only disappointment. .

We hope you enjoyed your stay in this beautiful city. Our location, facilities and services make the hotel specially chosen by travelers. Obviously the buffet breakfast is a different service than a continental breakfast. We try to offer a wide variety of products, rich and varied at a very reasonable price. Thanks for your visit. It will be my pleasure to welcome you again.

This hotel is unreal! The rooms are small, seriously outdated...you could hear the noise from the next room as though a family of five were living in the bathroom. The draperies were hanging off the hooks. When I threw them back to look at our view, we were treated to a line of laundry hanging on the adjoining building. This is a beautiful city; do not waste your experience staying here.

The value and location of this small hotel are unbeatable. I just spent 2 nights while traveling with a friend and I loved it. Yes, the rooms are very small, but the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious with very nice amenities and spotlessly clean. It is located just steps from the Cathedral and about a 15 minute walk to Playa Caleta and just a bit longer to Playa Victoria. Since it is located right in the old city, it is a bit noisy but I feel that the advantages of its location more than compensate for the noise. The breakfast good…the usual fare with some really exceptional pastries and coffees made to order. Osvaldo was at the front desk when we checked in and in addition to speaking excellent English, he was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and sightseeing tips. Every member of the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I plan on returning in May.

Hi Linda The parking at the station is 11 euros a day and you will pass it on your way in.To walk from the hotel to the station is through the main square, where the tourist kiosk is, and across the road. I suggest you dont park in the underground as we got charge for a full day even after a couple of hours, ripoff. If you have any problems, ask at the hotel all the staff are very helpful. As you enter the square from the main road, the first bar on the right is quite good, for a city prices not bad. The bar at the end, dont ,they will over charge because you are a tourist. If you can find the restaurant La Cuenta, give it a try. Juan the owner was quite the celebrity in his time and the food, service and prices are excellent. We are originally from Hull but have lived here for 6 years. Have good trip.
