Will say straight off the bat that we are fairly seasoned travellers and as we all lead busy lives, our focus on holidays nowadays is relaxation, great food and drink and recharging the batteries. IKOS provided all of this and more. Other reviews cover the salient points much better than I ever could but as 14 day non deluxe visitors, here’s how we got on: I would say that as non deluxe customers, my drink of choice was bottles of moretti and monkey 47 gin and tonic, my better half drank Taittenger champagne from day one till we left, you merely have to ask for it. Our daily routine consisted of a leisurely breakfast in one of the restaurants followed by setting up around the scented pool. We preferred this to the adults only as found it to our liking. Took part in aqua fit to justify the daily boozy lunch. Extended lunch at one of the restaurants, chirinquito was our pick, absolutely gorgeous setting and food. Relaxed afternoon around the scented pool with drinks supplied by the ever attentive staff. Finish the afternoon off with a Couple of drinks at the pool bar, served by Konstantinos and his great team. Relaxed shower and change for dinner, drink on the balcony before heading out. Pre dinner drink at the main/cocktail bar. Dinner around 8pm at one of the awesome restaurants. Catch the show or entertainment . Night cap at the lobby bar. Back to room. Pros/must do: Picked up at Malaga in a nice Mercedes, fuss free check in. Great room location overlooking the deluxe pool and sea. Staff are very knowledgeable and a credit to themselves and the brand. Wine tasting was great fun, the choices available in the restaurants can be a tad daunting (300 or so on offer) but the staff are at hand to recommend something to go with your food choices. Take the opportunity to try something a little different. Order room service breakfast with champagne, it could feed the 5000. Take the shuttle bus into Estepona for a mooch around the beautiful streets and Porto Banus to see you next purchase when you win the lottery. Take the Tesla up to Ronda. A very scenic drive to a stunning place. Tranquil location for magical sunrises and sunsets. Cons(minimal) Staffing levels pre dinner at main/cocktail bar could result in a bit of a wait for attention. Space for clothing in the room wasn’t really sufficient for a 2 week stay. Bath towels were far too small for grown ups, we used pool towels instead. A little more time on orientation of the resort on the way to the room would be beneficial as the resort map is tiny. All in all we had a fabulous time and are giving Oceania a visit this September. I apologise for losing the slip of paper with the names of the staff that made our stay so great. Many thanks to them all.

This was our second trip, having been at the same time in 2022. We love the hotel and almost everything was immaculate, but we noticed a few areas for improvement on our second trip, so thought we share some thoughts in the hopes of seeing this improve when we return next year. Room Our second stay was in a Deluxe junior suite with private pool, sea view. Our earlier stay had been in Deluxe suite with private pool, garden view. The suite wasn't available for our second stay so I went for the junior suite. There wasn't a huge difference but I did like having the extra space of the living area in the suite so would go for that again next time. That said, I find the description of the room a little strange as we had a better sea view in our 'garden view room' so perhaps this needs to be looked at. The deluxe junior suite was near the cocktail bar and the noise of the blender was quite intrusive doing the day when realising by our private pool so perhaps get a quieter blender! :) The private pool attracted a lot of insects and plant matter so could probably do with some other mechanism to keep the water moving and flowing through the filters more. Or more frequent skimming. I love the bathrooms, both were really spacious, even in the junior suite. Room service We like to have coffee/pastries/cereal delivered early in the morning. This was always spot on but the choice of cereal is a bit disappointing when compared with Ikos standards elsewhere. The house was very limited and the cornflakes look and taste cheap, please consider some branded options and offer bran flakes etc. Vegetarian meals As a couple of vegetarians, we first chose Ikos due to the good range of menu options. On our first trip, I was particularly impressed by the veggie paella at Oliva coming in an individual paella pan. Vegetarians can sometimes feel like an after thought so it was nice to have something which was visually appealing as well as really tasty. We were therefore disappointed to see on our second trip that it was just dolloped on the plate and the selection of vegetables didn't seem as generous (didn't match the menu description) and it wasn't as tasty. Likewise with the garlic chips that are supposed to come with the roast vegetable dish in Oliva and which I thoroughly enjoyed the first time around - they were missing both times we were there on our second trip, despite still being in the menu description. I have to mention the beetroot and asparagus salad at Fresco, absolutely delicious so please keep this whenever you update the menus! I really enjoyed some nachos and sangria by our pool on an afternoon! The service at the restaurants is very attentive and we really appreciate the attention to detail from your staff. Drinks Love the great wine options so not much more to say about that! Courtesy room The set up of this was great and allowed us to enjoy the hotel for longer before our late flight back to the UK - really appreciate this. Overall a fantastic couple of stays and I look forward to see if these small niggles can be improved on our next stay.

From being met at the airport to being dropped back off a week later, this holiday with my fiance and our son was incredible and the best all inclusive we have ever stayed at. The facilities, service and technology (iKos app) were incredible. And when this says “all inclusive” it was all inclusive. *Kids* What we wanted from our holiday on this occasion was for our newly turned 2 year old to enjoy himself, whilst we could also relax for a couple of hours every other day. The heroes crèche provided us with the opportunity (this is the only exception to the all inclusive rule as there is a fee applicable). The staff were absolutely incredible and couldn’t praise their friendly and caring nature enough. Maria , Maria Rosa, Konstantina and Yolanda took such good care of our son Harrison. He hated leaving the crèche, but always loved arriving 😁 there is also plenty of safe play areas around the pool for kids to play and it was so much fun spending this time with him. Again you were able to book a crèche space on the app. *food* The food was outstanding and there is no shortage of a la carte restaurants and the buffet restaurant is brilliant as well. I would recommend booking dinner asap via the app in advance if you have kids which limit Your evening time out of the room. *facilities* There is so much facilities there is no shortage of things to do with an in and outdoor gym, spa and courts outside all to Great quality. Would definitely return The facilities are

Having already been to Ikos Oceania a few years ago and had a great experience we decided to book Ikos Andalusia for a special occasion. Unfortunately we were sadly disappointed and would not return or in fact book any of the Ikos chain in the future. We were met at reception by a ‘deluxe’ concierge to explain details about the hotel. We were very surprised on arrival by the number of prams and pushchairs in the reception area. With toddlers and babies everywhere. We had booked a ‘deluxe junior sea view suite’ in the deluxe section, but it had no sea view, sort of a garden facing a walkway on the ground floor. We expressed regret to the member of staff, who said we may be able to look at another room the following day. However, for a short 7 day break, I was not prepared to pack up and move rooms. The staff member then sort of hounded us for the rest of the holiday, I think in an attempt to avoid any negative reviews. The room felt very cramped it had no outlook and it was dark with little natural light or sunlight, it was in shade all day. For the price it was poor value. Over the Winter a new pool for the deluxe area had been built, however the seating around the pool was cramped, and despite there being a lovely separate children’s pool, parents took their toddlers and babies into the main pool. The children’s pool was usually empty. We opted to sit at the adult only pool, which is available to all adult guests, it was quiet, but very out of the way, as far away from the deluxe area as possible on the hotel site and with no sea views. Having paid for the deluxe room etc, we did not use that pool area at all. The restaurants were OK, but overrun by small children and babies, on one occasion our table became surrounded by discarded pushchairs that a large group shoved away from their table. The main bar area where musical acts play in the evenings was again a playground for kids running around and playing. There was a small adults bar in the evening ( one of the daytime pool bars) but with no ambience or entertainment It seems Ikos are offering deals eg. first child up to 11yrs stays free. I can understand why people take advantage of this, but unfortunately it is at the expense of the overall experience for remaining guests and the ambiance of the resort.

After our first Ikos holiday and stay at Ikos Andalusia in 2022, we had to go back! This time with my parents who loved it so much they have booked another Ikos holiday for this year! The service was exceptional, the resort was even further improved from our first visit with brand new restaurants and further additions to the resort. Everything about the resort is beautiful. We took a Tesla out for the day and went to the Zoo with our 3 year old who absolutely loved the whole day, including the packed lunch Ikos kindly put together for day trips. The food really is 5* with so much choice. My mum is extremely fussy with food standards and she loved it. The room was beautiful and really clean which is hugely important to me when I go away. The staff simply cannot do enough for you, they work so hard and the hotel really is a credit to them. We are booked to go to Odisia this year, purely to try another Ikos experience but Andalusia will be hard to beat!

After visiting Ikos in Greece 5 times and having a wonderful holiday I decided to treat my family to a week at this hotel voted number one family holiday in the uk really? We went in October so unfortunately we had some rain nothing for the children but a play room with one brio carriage. They do have a kids club but we went as family to spend time together apart from being expensive we had three children so it would have been an even more expensive holiday and one of the children has additional needs so not fair on him or staff to be responsible for his well being. With this in mind the long wait to be seated at the buffet restaurant really was not acceptable. The pool had flaking paint which we had to dig out one of their nails. Money went missing from one of our rooms, not a lot but even so! Great for adults great food and drink and Tesla for them to use for a day. I did share my grievances with the hotel but felt I wasn’t taken seriously. I felt I had to write this as people need to know what to expect when paying the amount of money we did.

Such a brilliant, stress-free holiday. At Ikos Andalusia they have truly thought of everything. We went with our 3 year old and everything was taken care of from cots/beds, to high chairs and toddler cutlery in every restaurant and even potties available for your room. A non-negotiable for us was good food and that’s absolutely what you’ll get here. Everyone was so welcoming and took great care of us during our trip. Pilar A was amazing at getting us settled and looked after us throughout, for anything we needed. Our daughter also loved the entertainment, especially the daily pre-dinner activities provided by the lovely Beatriz and team. I would wholeheartedly recommend Ikos Andalusia to anyone travelling with children and we plan to go back again soon (having never repeated a holiday before, Ikos has changed us!).

This was our second visit to Ikos Andalusia this year and I have to say it was absolutely outstanding. Having had a few very minor issues in May we were delighted that our second visit was faultless. The quality of service, food and beverages is second to none, the staff go out of their way to ensure that guests expectations are met and exceeded which allows for a completely relaxing and enjoyable holiday. It was lovely to see that some of our previous comments had been taken on board, with the old Deluxe Pool being made into a quiet zone which allowed adults without children a quiet area to relax and unwind in, and the service at the Cocktail Bar was incredible efficient and friendly. All the restaurants are outstanding in respect of both cuisine and service. A special mention to the chefs who undoubtedly work tirelessly to ensure such a high standard of food. We ate in all the restaurants and they all offered a vast and varied menu. Service was always first class. We did eat out one night, in the "dine out" restaurant in Estapona, this was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this for a change of scenery. Again the food and service were excellent and a courtesy bus is laid on to take and collect you to/from the restaurant. My thanks to Dimitra Spanou , Rooms Division Manager who went above and beyond to assist us both prior to and during our holiday, her care and attention to detail is exemplary and she is a true asset to the Ikos Brand - not only did she come to say "hello" when we arrived but also checked in on us several times during our stay. My only regret is that we only stayed 7 nights ! However, we look forward too returning to Ikos Dassis in May 2024. If you are thinking about booking a holiday to Ikos Andalusia, do not hesitate it is wonderful.

Amazing family friendly 5 star hotel. Stayed here with out 2 & 5 year old in July for 2 weeks, pool temps were perfectly heated. My oldest enjoyed the swimming lessons provided in the main pool. Drinks/ food service around the pool were quick and tasty. Food in all restaurants was AMAZING we usually ordered 3 courses and anything extra if we wanted we ate in the restaurants almost every night, buffet maybe once or twice. Children well catered for just ask and they’ll provide anything thats not even on the menu. We didnt use the kids club/ creche so cant comment but my girls loved the entertainment on the night especially the disney show which is late but is worth keeping them up for. We stayed in a private garden suite and it was perfect for our family. Didnt hire the tesla or use the busses provided to other towns. Whats app service was great. Service from staff amazing. I would 100% recommend this hotel for families with young children and would most certainly return. Thanks Ikos for an amazing stay!

When we arrived at Ikos (Sept 2023), we were greeted by welcoming staff and provided with drinks whilst check-in was being processed. Glancing around, the resort is beautiful. Tasteful decor, stunning landscaping, the sea in the short distance, pristine pools. It's a sizeable resort. So my natural instinct was to think, how can they possibly deliver an excellent standard of service across a resort of this size? And I am a stickler when it comes to service and hygiene and cleanliness. Those doubts soon disappeared. Ikos Andalusia is truly outstanding.... impeccable!! I cannot believe the calibre of service and experience we received throughout the week we stayed there. The rooms were amazing and cleaned every day - we opted for the superior ocean view rooms with balcony and they kindly situated our two adult children in a room close to us. We also stayed a couple of nights in the Junior Suites with sea view. That was an amazing highlight to our stay. We didn't opt for the Deluxe option to our stay. We didn't feel it necessary. The resort has an adult only pool separate from the other pools if you prefer quiet time away from families with younger children. Deluxe entitles you to a separate restaurant for breakfast and a separate pool to everyone else and I believe that pool still has a children's area. The restaurants and bars are fantastic. We were really impressed with the food, whether it was in the restaurant or pool side or beach side. Our daughter is gluten free and every restaurant we booked in was made aware from the start of our stay. They even arranged GF snacks for her room. Flavors and Fresco were our absolute favourite places to eat. We also took a advantage of the day trip into Puerto Buenos. All in all a magical place to stay. The whole family loved it. The staff are so well trained. So much attention to detail across the board. We will definitely visit again. Thank you to all the staff at IKos Andalusia for a stunning holiday.
