Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I reached today and I am having terrible experience here. There is no separate washroom but they just build a glass partition inside the room itself. The glass partition is not even full till ceiling which is highly uncomfortable as the bad smell from washroom will come out in room. There are no cupboards to keep the stuffs. So horrible experience and I will never opt for this hotel in future 😞.

Ordinarily, I would not review a multinational business, especially one owned by Stelios. But I think it's important to highlight budget options for travellers like myself. I've done my share of dorms & shared bathrooms. I've been going to Malaga for some 30-odd years & the changes have been dramatic. I love the fact that more people are sharing it, but I do hanker for the days when it was definitely non U to other Europeans. So to the review. First the negatives. You'll get no luxurys here. If you can't do without a complimentary shower cap, then move on. Like everything "easy" you pay for everything. You are getting a small room, a bed & a private bathroon. Right now, Feb 24, access is difficult, you need to take a diversion to safely get to the front door, not good for those otherwise abled. It's about 15 mins walk to the Old Town, which is fine if you're active. Shower pressure weak but functional, Aircon didnt seem great, but I could open the window which I prefer, it was Feb. The hotel is near the airport and its NOISY outside, but that is true of all of Malaga,, not great for light sleepers. The positives. Price is good, but its an "easy" business, so they change accoriding to demand. Make sure you don't overpay at peak times. Location is impecable. A couple of hundred metres from Maria Zambrano & El Perchel also the bus station. The hotel itself is clean, with daily room refresh. All staff I encountered ,cleaners included, were charming. Free fast wifi, completely non smoking (bravo). Blackout blinds to get a decent sleep. A small thing, but the room key seems to be made of wood.. It must have a chip inside, butI hope its more environemtally friendly than those billions of plastic ones throughout the world. Overall, I enjoyed my time here, comfy, clean, affordable & easy to get in and out from the airport. If you are heading for a lateish flight out of Malaga, and getting to the airport by train. There are lockers at the bus station for 4 euros, so you don't pay the 5 at the hotel & dont have to return for luggage.

For €120 for one night we expected a better standard. There was dirt on the walls, no towels, air conditioning (AC) not working. Cables lying loose on the floor and it was very hot at night. It didn't help that others who complained at reception had paid half the price of us and were still unhappy. Also… a sign in the reception said «€37» and like the trivago commercial, noone likes paying too much. Knowing we paid almost hundred euros more for such low quality sucks.

Due to a midnight arrival at the airport, I booked a room at the easyHotel in Malaga on their official website. It was a bank holiday and my usual hotel the Don Paco was fully booked. The cost was similar and I arrived expecting the same standard. The location was close to the bus and train stations and I slept well. No noise, blackout curtains, comfy bed and good sized TV. However, the room was very small for a solo traveller, despite being a twin. Two people would be falling over one another. Didn't even open my luggage, no where to put it apart from two metal hangars on wall by door. No bedside table. Small washbasin by door, not in bathroom. No hand towel. Not even a cardboard glass. Moved on afterwards to Fuengirola where I had a much better hotel, facilities and breakfast included for a much lower price. Expected easyHotel to be at same standard as Travelodge or Premier Inn. It's not. Overpriced. Won't consider staying again unless price is reduced by at least 30%.

I picked this hotel based on its location to the train and bus stations and I got a really good rate, It is about a 15-20 minute walk into the old town. I arrived about an hour early but was able to check in. The check in staff were very friendly. The room was modern, very clean, a reasonable size for either a solo travel or a couple and a comfortable bed. There is no dining options but vending machines are available in the reception. All in all a great choice and highly recommended for a trip to Malaga.

A cheap and cheerful budget hotel located only a 10 minute walk from the station. The room was clean although I was disappointed to find a €5 charge for leaving my bag for the day. This is the first time I’ve ever had to pay to do this!

Thank you for choosing us for your stay in the city. About the extra services, you have the information on the website. Please note that easyHotel's philosophy is to offer the customer the possibility to customize their stay, so we set a lower price and our customers can add only the services they need, instead of increasing the price and include all our services even if they do not use them. We are sorry if this has been an inconvenience, we look forward to welcoming you again. Best regards from the easyHotel Malaga team

Terrible location, not near the centre. Very small and basic room. Bathroom has no privacy at all, open connection with the room. Far too expensive. Uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place. You have to pay to leave your luggage for an hoor.

If you seek a clean, modern-looking, friendly, affordable, and safe place to sleep and shower in a convenient location - seek no more, my friend. This is it! The only possible downside for some folks might be the simplicity of the rooms. You get a bed, smart TV, AC, bathroom, two hooks, a small folding table, stool, and Wi-Fi. But for many of us, that is all we need. I was here for one week, and I enjoyed my stay. Despite sleeping near a construction site, I was never bothered by noise. I saw Ana, the front desk lady, almost daily, and she was pleasant and always had a genuine smile. The hotel is 10 - 15 minutes walking distance away from El Corte Ingles and Maria Zambrano Train Station, which features a shopping mall with a movie theater, McDonald’s, Burger King, and Taco Bell, to mention a few, and a grocery store. The lobby features a couple of vending machines for your convenience, but even at 1 am, I found a couple of restaurants open within walking distance. You will be within walking distance of many tapas bars and restaurants offering seafood, Spanish dishes, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Chinese, and Japanese meals. An Uber to the Malaga airport from easyHotel was 15 Euros, and it took 15 minutes to get there. An Uber to Alcazaba was 7.50 Euros, and the trip took 12 minutes. I highly recommend this place to stay if you are not too demanding with amenities. My room had a city view with the sea as a background. The blinds block the sunlight extremely well, and you can sleep until late if your body desires. Although the room is small, there are plenty of outlets for your electronics to charge. Wi-Fi worked well most of the time; nothing re-connecting could not fix.

Stayed here for a long weekend. Great budget hotel/hostel, for £45 a night in one of Spain’s most beautiful cities, absolute bargain. Check in was quick, easy and efficient, the rooms are basic but clean with a surprisingly good shower (would recommend getting a room with a window) Hotel is 5 minutes walk to the nearest train station that also houses a shopping mall and 5 minutes in a taxi to the historical centre of the city (cost €5/6) Hotel is based in a quiet area with easy access to virtually everywhere and would be best used for short stays as isn’t really comfortable enough for a longer duration, but if you don’t mind living out of your suitcase ( no closet or cabinets, just a couple of wall hangers) i highly recommend this budget hotel

My wife and I booked this "hotel" through Easyjet Holidays for a week long stay. Easyjet are miss-selling it on their website as a hotel. It is not a hotel it is a HOSTEL as confirmed by a member of the reception staff when I discussed it with them. She said that, when taking direct bookings, they say it's a hostel. The room was very small and basic, clean but lacking any facilities, even a wardrobe or adequate clothes hanging spaces. Ultra-modern in appearance but a classic case of form over function even to the extent that there were no hand towels only bath towels, no bedside table/s, not even plastic or paper disposable beakers in the bathroom, the toilet paper was the thickness of thin tissue paper, no wardrobe or drawers for clothes only a couple of metal hangers attached to the wall. There was a small fold-down table which wasn't designed to hold any weight but nowhere except under the beds to put suitcases. My wife suffers from a bad back which was aggravated by having to keep bending down to floor level to retrieve clothing etc.. To their credit, they did, after we requested it provide a small table on which to put her suitcase, two additional pillows as there was only one on each bed and an a couple of additional bath towels. One of the greatest failings was the design of the bathroom which had a smoked glass door which was open at the top providing little privacy. All-in-all I cannot recommend this hostel to anyone other than a single person or young backpacking couple with very little clothing for a short overnight stay.
