Nice, clean spacious room (and almost 5*'s to the bathroom)! We asked for a quiet one, and we got it.A bit of walking to the lovely Málaga old town, but basically that only led us to healthy steps and some unplanned shopping & delicious discoveries such as the Mercado de

is upgrading to a premium room worth the xtra are they bigger rooms
The king rooms are bigger indeed. If you need the extra bed width and want to feel a bit comfier, then yes! We did it and enjoyed the added space; almost like a small suite.

The main train/metro station from the airport is about 8-10mins walk ... It was a few euros... Easy to get tickets from the machines. Around there there are a few tapas places/bars. There is a also a shopping mall with a few tapas bars /chain fast food places. There is a good Italian hidden away but on google maps which is near the hotel but other than that we struggled without walking too far for an evening 'meal' as such. The modern town is another 10 mins walk and old town is further. Didn't take bus as we walked. Seemed an OK area, not very picturesque though.
