This seafront hotel is set in a quiet residential area close to the airport and about 20mins from Malaga. Excellent welcome from lovely reception staff. Lobby/Bar/Pool area very modern and fresh. Rooms immaculately clean although dated and of a good size. Housekeeping services were exceptional. A couple of cafe/restaurants nearby and a supermarket. On a bus route to Malaga. Perfect little destination. Hotel is made by it’s hard working staff both on show and behind the scenes which was really refreshing. I didn’t feel my business was taken for granted which is why Ive taken the time to review.

I stayed here over new year with my husband and my daughter and her 6 year old
We booked with breakfast, not all inclusive or with evening meal. The option to eat in the multi choice resturant for €20 each was an option and advertised. However on new years eve nowhere was open ( this hotel is in a quieter area ) there was no deliveries available and no bar food and to eat that evening was €50 ahead. We ended up not eating a meal. Felt very let down and misled. Generally the hotel was clean and tidy but could do with some updating and a let down I have stayed at other Melia hotels and this is not a good representation and clearly a poor relation. The sea view was spectacular.

We spent 4 days here (myself & husband) all staff were really welcoming and friendly. Our room was spotless on arrival although there was a strong smell of sewerage but the smell did go away by the following day. Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The pool area was also clean and plenty of sunbeds.

The only downside was that the hotel is in a residential area, the restaurant in front of the hotel wasn't great. You can get a bus to malaga town centre for €1.30 but takes about an hour. A taxi to malaga or torremolinos is only 10 minutes but is about €15 each way so it makes it expensive just to go out for a meal and drinks.

We did use the hotels restaurant 1 night, they offer a buffet for €20 and although the food was of excellent quality there was not a huge choice of food so didn't really feel it was value for money.

Although we enjoyed our stay we wouldn't return due to the location.

A huge advantage to this hotel is definitely its location! The building is prominently positioned to take in fantastic sea views on three sides of the building . Highly recommend room 519 as its balcony offers a breathtaking sweeping side view of the beach without paying an additional cost. The fine sanded beach is all but a few steps away from the hotel perimeter making this spot to stay even more pleasurable with its easy access for beach amenities and of course a refreshing sea swim . One further point to add about the hotel’s location is the very convenient bus stop just outside the hotel with a very reasonable 1.40 Euro charge which will take you into Malaga town (35 mins) .
Once inside the hotel the foyer/ lounge area adjacent to the reception is both spacious, stylishly furnished with plenty of floor to ceiling glass looking over the rear towards the pool area. I have to mention the staff in reception are both friendly and really helpful. Our room was clean but basic and a good size with two double beds.
The food I felt was a huge disappointment- this is certainly an area that could be so much better . We’ve stayed in a few other four star hotels in both Spain & Portugal that offer more in terms of quality & choice . Breakfast seemed a bit lacklustre with dry reheated pastries on offer and a very limited fresh fruit selection . We experienced both lunch and dinner here and the taste of some dishes seemed bland and at best very average . My tip going forward - If you're a huge foodie like me book this hotel for its great location but maybe seek other places to eat & sample what Malaga has to offer and you won’t be disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay. The receptionist gave me a warm and efficient welcome and there was the same attitude from the one who checked me out. The room was on the sixth floor with a fabulous view at all times of day. I had a good sized balcony which I sat on quite a bit, considering it was early March! It didn’t quite make a 5* review because there was no kettle (basic in a hotel of this calibre) and I was chilly at night with just a thin quilt - a spare blanket in the wardrobe would have been amazing. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. The location is super for a lovely beach walk, I could see a few small beach bars which will probably open in April. I also enjoyed walking around this lovely mainly residential area with lots of orange trees and flowers. I parked my car from 9pm on Monday to 10am on Wednesday and it only cost €12 which I felt was really reasonable.

On our last night here before leaving tomorrow. We've spent 3nights here & it's been a lovely break. Hotel is beautiful with an amazing seaview (we paid extra) from our balcony room 424. Rooms are spotlessly clean with a nice size balcony. Beds are comfy & so are the pillows. We booked room only so can't comment on the food as we never ate here. There is a vending machine that serves coffee €1 but not tea as the bar wasn't open until 10.30am I enquired about buying a cup of tea at reception from the buffet breakfast area to be told "No" slightly disappointed as I do love my morning cuppa.
The spa for a massage I found quite expensive €60 I was told I could use the gym & indoor pool for this price but I only wanted a back massage!
I found the drinks at the bar were quite expensive €2.65 for a small tumbler (yes tumbler) or small paper cup of beer if you are going outside.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly & helpful I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is right on the beach access by a gate at the back of the hotel, need a code to get back in. There is a restaurant at either end of the beach. Sunbeds available at 5 euro a day with a mattress, payable to the restaurant. The beach is shale and entering the sea is very stony.
10 mins walk is the nudist beach and seemed busier than the others during the week, if you go there do as they do and participate.
The hotel itself is set in a residential area and there is nothing much around, best of all was the Las Nina a small cafe serving food all day. This was very cheap and good, seriously recommend going here for breakfast and lunch, a cheese, ham and egg toasted sandwich was 2.5 euros.
Hotel is clean, beds comfy, TV, electronic free safe, fridge, iron, hair dryer, toiletries, balcony with sea view, plenty wardrobe space. Seemed more French guests than any other, the staff we had contact with were all very friendly and helpful.
There is nothing going on in the area, the hotel had no entertainment, although the last night they had a laptop linked to a speaker to resemble a bit of a disco.
Taxi Malaga and Airport both 15 euro
Recommend the hotel if you want a break of doing nothing but sunbathe and relax, night life look elsewhere.
Would I go back, personally no, on the basis there wasn't enough to occupy me in the evening, my friend, however, would definitely go back as it was very safe for a female lone traveller and she loves the beach and sunbathing.

We booked this to stay for the Andalucia Big festival and a day extra.
Near the airport, taxi cost 16 Euros.
Friendly welcome and a decent sized room with a view along the beach and a small balcony.
The hotel has a nice wee pool with grassy area with sunbeds and is also right next to the beach. The breakfast selection was excellent, bar prices were reasonable and the pool bar did a range of lunch items.
We were impressed with all the staff we met, they were friendly and efficient even when very busy.
The rooms got very warm during the day, so we sometimes had to run the AC for a time.
Very handy bus service from just outside the hotel, goes in to Malaga centre for 1.4 Euros or even better buy a preloaded card from a Tabac in town and each journey is 80
A few minutes walk from the hotel are a bar that does food, an Italian restaurant and a Arrozeria (restaurant specialising in paella type dishes)

Enjoyed out stay

This hotel is close to the airport so only useful for early departures although it’s beachside location was surprising. It was located in a downbeat urbanisation with no restaurants immediately apparent but the hotel had a restaurant that felt more like a large cafe, plastic chairs etc. The staff were unsmiling, perfunctory in their service almost as though we were an inconvenience. There was a queue 7 deep at the bar with one barman run off his feet until the unsmiling girl from the restaurant came to help. Clearly these are people not happy in their jobs, from the Reception guy onwards. No welcome. No smiles.

After reading all the reviews I was apprehensive about staying here as booked last minute as a cheap holiday however, I was proven wrong.
Lovely hotel with lovely views just right for me and my partner. The rooms were also lovely with everything you need.

The only downfall was the location as in a small residential area, however for me and my partner this wasn’t an issue.

The hotel is approx 7 minute drive to airport and cost us €20 in a taxi

A taxi into malaga cost €15 each way about 10 minute journey.

A taxi into Torromelinos was also €15 about 15 minute journey.

There was also a bus outside the hotel which has a QR code on the board within the bus stop that me and my partner scanned and it tells you what time the next bus is due which made it easier took about 40 minutes into centre of Malaga but only cost €1.40

Tips for anyone staying; there is a lovely sandwich shop just up from the hotel called Cafe Bar Las Niñas Which was AMAZING!!! And next door is a little supermarket where me and my partner bought loads of snacks and drinks, cheaper than in the hotel.

Overall had a lovely stay.
