We visited for a five night break. The hotel is situated a short fifteen minutes walk into the town centre, easy flat walking beside the sea, pleasant beach front, very clean. A local bus just outside will also take you into the city, one euro 30 cents into the centre or to the bus or train station.
We found the hotel comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful especially the bar staff.
The rooms are clean and are made up daily, we found the shower powerful with very hot water.
The pool area is adequate but can be rather noisy because of the N340 which is a main road.
All in all for the price it’s very good value and we would certainly stay again, we cannot comment on food because we stayed room only, there is a supermarket close by and a couple of small restaurant’s however the main restaurants are in the city or around the port.
They run a shuttle to the airport which is convenient and not expensive
We would recommend for a casual stay with clean and comfortable conditions at very reasonable rates.

Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little dated no complaints about the cleanliness though. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed too.
There was no kettle in the room but you can get one at reception free of charge. No charge for the safe here which is a first. Every hotel I’ve ever stayed in charges for the safe which is ridiculous really.
The breakfast was poor and for the price should have definitely been more substantial although it is probably restricted at the minute with all the restrictions for COVID in place. Even so the quality of the food on offer was poor. We asked for full English (as stated on the menu) on the first day but got some form of scrambled egg unlike anything I’ve ever seen before 4 tiny spicy sausages and 2 rashers of very salty bacon. They don’t do beans, tomatoes or mushrooms lol. The second day we asked for croissants with ham and cheese. One of us got that but the other got a bread roll and jam! Third morning we did actually get one very small croissant each with 3 slices of ham but no cheese! They weren’t very good at filling the cups up either. Very small cups which is fine but they bring them out only half full!
The pool bar isn’t very well stocked either. Children were asking for ice cream or ice lollies but they don’t sell any at all which I found rather strange.
The location of the hotel is great. Straight outside the back gate across a busy main road and you’re on the beach.
Lovely walk along the promenade up to the marina and then on to the centre of Malaga all in all about a 30 min stroll.
Found in most of the restaurants in the area that we had to wait for service unlike the Spanish customers which is a shame really as we’re all paying customers. This was commented on by several people we spoke to.
Would definitely return to the hotel but room only next time as the food was not good and very overpriced.

This hotel is a little hard to review. We were in the standard room which faces the hillside / residential area and to be honest, we liked the "retro"/ classic feel of the hotel.
It isnt in the absolute city centre, but it is only 10 mins walk to the harbour and start of the city centre. Likewise its next to the beach so handy for that. Plus if you have a car, you either have the option of using the hotel car park (18 euros a day) or we just parked 5-10mins walk away to the east in the limonella area residential streets for free.
The hotel has a pool, outside seating area and the option to include breakfast or pay on the day, which had 2 options, c£10 euros for anything hot or cold, or 4 euros for an express continental option.
The room we were in was a standard room, so faced the hillside with residential housing infront, a nice and interesting view. There are pool side/ sea view rooms which are south facing.
So overall for c50 euros a night, i'd give this hotel 4 starts on trip advisor. Note the 4 stars is based on the price etc. Its all about location, size of rooms, light and airy etc that i give it 4 stars.
It is our 3rd stay over 15 years and i would re-visit.

I stayed for 4 nights here in April with my 5 month old baby and had a very positive experience.

We booked using BA (air miles) and ended up with a very competitive rate for a last minute trip during Semana Santa. The location of the hotel is excellent; 1 minute to the beach, a few minutes walk to the port and a gentle 40ish minute stroll from the bus station (pushing the pram too). There is both Mercadona and Carrefour Express within minutes of the hotel, short walk to Alcazaba, Calle Larios etc., pharmacy right across the street and bus stop close by, if you don’t fancy walking.

Our room had 2 single beds which worked perfectly for the both of us (used cheap pool noodles as a bumper for the baby, just tucked them in under the sheet), a balcony with table and chairs and generously sized en-suite bathroom. The bath was big enough to comfortably fit the blow up baby bath chair and there was plenty room for the pram in the room without it feeling cramped or without having to park it on the balcony.

As daft as it seems, I really appreciated the fact that the door to the room stays wide open when you open it and doesn’t start to close automatically as it made it easy to get the pram and luggage in and out. Lift was big enough to fit the pram and I comfortably. Daily cleaning/towels etc. available and the cleaning staff did seem friendly (based on saying hello to them as we walked past).

We didn’t have any real interaction with other staff aside from check in/check out where we spoke with Jose Ignacio both times and I am very grateful that he actually spoke Spanish to me rather than switching to English (where better for me to practice!).

I’m sure we had breakfast included in our rate but we didn’t take advantage of it. We also didn’t use the pool but walked past it and the sun loungers/garden every day and it looked nice. There is a door with beach access through the garden area, accessed by using your room key so it did feel quite safe despite being right on the beach/road.

The hotel was really quiet; we didn’t hear the rooms next door or much noise (other than traffic) from outside. From the looks of it, the neighbouring building are apartment buildings rather than hotels (at least one is, I could see the kitchen!).

There are a few remarks that could be made such as grout chipped around the bath, scuffed bathroom door but they didn’t actually make any practical difference and the room was clean.

Keen to stay again and would recommend to those travelling with young children (especially if travelling solo).

4th visit to this hotel.
Friendly staff and what must be the best buffet breakfast in Malaga.
Ideal location easily accessible by bus from airport (4euros) to the port & then easy 12 minute walk or jump on another bus if you wish.
20 minute walk into town or bus just a few yards from the hotel.
Hotel is on the front giving access to promenade into town or further south away from town where you will find plenty of restaurants on the promenades - you just need to keep going to find the bulk of them - about 2 miles.
Rooms are spacious & very clean - treat yourself to Seaview with balcony if available..Nice swimming pool by the breakfast room.
We always book through Jet2 as this is one of their recommended hotels.
Good weather as Malaga seems to have it’s own little eco climate.

Had an great break in this hotel. Employees, especially reception staff, were all friendly and helpful. Superb room with good sea view and large balcony. Plenty of choice at breakfast including lovely fresh bread and pastries as well as the usual meats, cheeses, bacon, eggs etc. Pleasant pool area adjacent to breakfast room. Right across the road from the beach and only a fifteen minute walk into the centre so provides a beach location and city break at the same time.

Hotel in a good location and the breakfast has a good variety with friendly staff.
Unfortunately our room was one of the older ones, didn't mind the older decor but it was not clean. The floor scuffed and raised, very thick dust on all the skirting, dust in the few drawers that opened-some wouldn't budge! The chair was covered in dust, fluff and bits. I don't think other than clean bedding put on, it had been cleaned for weeks/months. Some of the items in the fridge were out of date. The bathroom had a lot of cracked and 'bodged' up tiles and the bottom of the bath was rough and scuffed. After mentioning the lack of cleaning to reception I was told I had a standard room so that's what I get! I don't mind a standard old fashioned room - I'd just like a clean one!
The pool area is small with only a dozen or so sunbeds so unable to use but luckily the beach is only across the road €10 for 2 beds & brolly.
In summary, it's in a great location but definately needs updating (and rooms cleaning) as I'm not sure what the boutique bit in the name refers to. It's a shame as my experience will mean I won't return

Stayed for five nights in a sea view room on the 6th floor, we had a fridge loaded with drinks which were not expensive. Room was lovely and cleaned daily, good bathroom with powerful shower, fluffy white towels. Nothing to complain about, staff were efficient and helpful. Can’t comment on food as we stayed rom only. Twenty minute walk into town. In summary over the hotel and Malaga x

I must say it was a wonderful experience staying in this hotel
It was big family room for 4 adults and clean
Nearby centre 15 minutes walk or you take a bus which stop few step away from hotel
Pharmacy on the same street. Supermarket is also five minutes walk
I love this hotel and I am planning to stay again in this hotel in winter.
And one more thing the breakfast room is so cozy and lighting is so good
Only in rooms white light which I think they should change .
Staff was also friendly and cooperative .
Love this hotel and area nearby

Have stayed before and wasn't impressed but this hotel came up on a 3 night city break so decided to give another go. We were allocated a top floor sea view room (booked a standard) The room was lovely, minimalist so no drawers, cupboards etc, everything contained in the wardrobe including the safe (free of charge) and the fridge. There were only 5 hangers so a longer stay I'd suggest taking your own. Bed comfy and a large TV on the wall. Balcony gave lovely views. There were 2 deckchairs and a small low table. Would have liked a normal chair as sitting having a drink on an evening was difficult in a deckchair! I did take the one from inside onto the balcony.
Bathroom modern with a waterfall shower and adjustable spray hose in the large walk in shower. Good temperature but pressure a little low (may be common in the area?)
Room was kept clean during our stay. We requested a kettle and a small kettle was in the room when we arrived. There is a coffee machine and pods. The room did get quite hot but air con not available in the winter. Get some fresh air from leaving doors open but you may experience traffic noise (didn't bother us)
Breakfast had plenty of choice, lots of continental produce, fruit, juices, breads and a toaster. A few offerings of hot which was the only thing to let it down - the metal tins were on a 'hot plate' and had lamps above but no lids. The hot food was cold, not even luke warm so that option a no go. As there were alternatives on the continental it wasn't a problem but if the food can't be kept hot or even made to order , don't bother.
Didn't use the pool or any of the other facilities
The staff we encountered were pleasant, particularly breakfast staff, maintenance and the cleaners.
The hotel offers an airport transfer at set times, these didn't match up for us but a taxi only €20 ish
Overall, the hotel gave a much better impression this time. It's in a great location and the room was bright and welcoming. If the hot breakfast items were hot I'd give 5 stars!!
