This is a perfectly acceptable, clean, reasonably priced hotel though I ended up with a tiny room (single bed) with only the bed to sit on. Wouldn’t have mattered for one night but I stayed 4 nights and it got a bit claustrophobic. Other rooms may be larger but I would check first.

On the plus side, very nice staff and an excellent location only about 10-15 minute walk from most of the sights in the Old Town, and a few hundred metres to the train station for the airport and the coast. I left the hotel and was in the Departure Lounge of the airport no more than 50 minutes later (though don’t count on it in the summer!).

Buffet breakfast was €14 which seemed a bit steep so I went to the cafe across the road and had coffee, orange juice and a croissant for €4.50

Would i stay there again? Yes, if money very tight...but otherwise I’d give the modern NH hotel, just across the river, a try first.

I first came here to ask directions to the Host Place Hostel and gathered from the reaction I got that I was not the first.

The next day, returning for a siesta after a day out at the marina, I found I was locked out of my hostel so booked into the Atarazanas. The room cost 60 Euros which was average price for a hotel in Malaga, but this is a boutique hotel and is very comfortable with paintings exhibited on the staircase and attention paid to detail.

The restaurant was currently closed, but there was a very nice coffeeshop opposite on the corner by the market which serve an excellent breakfast of cafe con leche and honey croissants.

My room was spacious and had an ensuite shower.

The location was good, close to the market and about 5 minutes from the shops and Calle Lambios.

The staff were very kind and went out of their way to deal with an request immediately.

Stayed here for five nights and found it to be an excellent choice. Lovely welcome on arrival and found staff to be very helpful and friendly. Upgraded to a superior room and this was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Being in a city there was road noise in the evening but we were hardly in the room and have come to expect this on a city break! We did not take up the breakfast deal as there are plenty places round about to choose from although on passing in morning it did look fresh and appetising. We did experience the lack of water to the rooms, however there was nothing the hotel could do as they were not at fault and were very apologetic. We were able to go out for the day and when we returned this was fixed. Having booked through a third party we missed out on the free mini bar and late check out (two o'clock) and would book direct next time! The cost however was acceptable at ten euros per hour after our check out of twelve o'clock. Would definately stay again .

We could not fault this hotel. The location is brilliant within walking distance of all the City has to offer and only 5 minutes away from the train station Malaga Centro.
Breakfast was mainly continental but also had hot food available each day and beautifully presented.
The rooms were spacious and spotless with a small fridge in the room, on arrival in our room there was water and cans of coke in the fridge we did not know if these were complimentary so did not touch ( maybe hotel should make clear)
We would not hesitate to stay here again as we absolutly loved Malaga City.

I booked this hotel pre pandemic with Hotels.com and because of the pandemic I had to changed my booking several times. Staff at the hotel contacted me on a regular basis and kept me updated and finally I arrived at the hotel in May 2022.
Checking in was quick and staff were friendly and helpful. My room was at the back of the hotel which was quiet apart from early morning when local workers arrive by scooter and park up. But that said we were in a city. The location of the hotel is excellent, just opposite is the Atarazanas Market which is well worth a visit. The hotel is in easy walking distance to most of the city's attractions My room was small but comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a large walk in shower. Breakfast is served on the ground floor in two rooms with a reasonable selection of breads, meats, cheeses, hot cooked breakfast and a small selection of pastries which were all regularly replenished. In summary the hotel is comfortable and friendly and in an excellent location for a city break to Malaga and I would just like to thank the management and staff for keeping in touch with me over the last few years and giving me a very pleasant stay.
Fresh water is available by the glass at reception as is a glass of sherry.

Room Tip: Rear rooms are quieter but if you like to watch the market a front room would be a good choice.

The hotel is a lovely boutique hotel with 5 floors and a lift. It is in a great location to explore this wonderful clean city. The food market is 2 mins away & there must be a hundred restaurants within a small radius to choose from. The beach is a bit further out with at least a 30 minute walk. But this is a city centre location & less than 10 mins away from the Centro train station which is the stop from the airport. One stop down is Maria Zambrano station were you can travel right down the coast to Benalmadena & as far down as Fuengirola. We also travelled North to Antequera on a very modern and cheap rail network that puts the UK to shame. We had a lovely breakfast for a reasonable price in the hotel and all the staff we came into contact with were a credit to the hotel. We chose a balcony room facing the street on the 3rd floor which was nice & had wooden shutters and good insulated double doors to keep the street noise out. Our stay was only spoilt by very noisy guests coming back in during the very early hours. The room walls are pretty thin! We would definitely use this hotel again and loved our 5 night stay in this amazing city.

We have stayed at this gem of a hotel three times over the past few years - each time we have stayed the facilities and rooms have been upgraded . The location is perfect for a visit to Malaga , the rooms are well equipped and spotlessly clean . Hotel guests can prebook a parking space in the underground carpark of a nearby hotel at a cost of €21 for 24 hours - this was easy to arrange. The hotel staff are very friendly & efficient - we can thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel .

Quite central hotel located in the outskirts of old town Malaga, but there are only a few bars and restaurants in the nearest vicinity.
At the risk of sounding more negative than intended, I list the reasons why this hotel is OK and NOT great:
Traffic noise: The hotel is situated in a VERY busy, noisy street and faces the central market (which is supplied with goods from early morning), and as the windows are very poorly noise insulated, you are bothered from noise all night!
Dubious towels: Though impeccable clean, some of the towels had holes and some were stained (sun oil?)
Replenishment: The forget to deliver new tea bags and to replace used cups, when used.
Interior design: The air condition unit was placed so it blew directly down on the bed (at a distance of 2 meters), meaning that you had to choose between the fridge and the sauna, as you couldn't sleep with the AC turned on, stupid!
Breakfast: The breakfast is VERY basic: There is only what needs to be, nothing else, and the bread is of a cheap, poor quality.
The staff is kind and helpful, but not very personal, you are just another tourist, not a welcome guest.
If you are forced to use this hotel (which I do not recommend), make sure to get a room not lower than on the third floor.

Excellent location
Paid €8 for a balcony which turned out to be 12” wide and not one you could sit out on. But if you paid for the balcony you also got a kettle!
Bed was large and comfy.
Room was large and comfortable.
Staff were friendly and efficient.
Don’t bother with breakfast it was the worst we’ve ever had in a hotel. Nothing was replaced and it looked messy, unappetising and unhygienic.
Pic of balcony.

My father and I visited this September. The staff were absolutely lovely, couldn't have been more helpful and patient with our rudimentary Spanish attempts (they all spoke excellent English, but we like to try).

The rooms (and indeed hotel) were very clean, we were in inside rooms in the older area and loved it - our rooms opened out into an old style square courtyard area which felt very traditional. The air con was extremely efficient and there was good water pressure in the shower.

The location is great, just over the road from the market where you can get smoothies and fruit for breakfast (I can't comment on the hotel breakfast, we wanted to go out and about foraging for our own so it was a deliberate choice before we arrived). Loads of places to eat within 15-20 minutes and close to the bus routes.

We would absolutely use this as a base to explore Malaga again.
