Nobu Resort Marbella - what an experience!
Thank you Mr Ralph Rodriguez and Mr Antonio - you made our stay that extra special.

This resort is nothing short of spectacular. Being clients of Nobu establishments all over, we had very high expectations and whilst the resort itself and the dining and entertainment experiences are very typical of the highest Nobu standards, it was the staff and managers that made it above and beyond. They made every effort to make us feel truly valued customers. Staff all around the resort always had a smile and a greeting as they passed. They were genuinely interested in us and the conversations were delightful. Any requests for things like ironing boards etc were delivered promptly. We didn’t need to request anything else as the rooms are very well equipped and everything has been thought of.

Nobu Marbella is part of the Puente Romana group resorts and is next door and linked to the Puente Romana Hotel resort. Whilst both share the same golden private beach, the Nobu has extremely beautiful, manicured gardens before going on to the beach and the Puente Romana has a wonderful outdoor pool and has sea view rooms. Together, they are both undisputedly the best in Marbella and the only real choice for the discerning traveller.

Exceptional. Car taken on arrival and returned whenever needed. Ultra clean, modern large well stocked room, staff were charming, Had a company Christmas lunch and every dish was mouthwatering delicious. Never knew meat could be so tender. Lovely ambience, beautiful gardens and dining almost on the shoreline. Did not want to leave.

Overly trendy and if you like noise and nightlife with your room this is for you. The hotel service is very good and the rooms comfortable but if you want to sleep make sure you don’t have a room close to the plaza or reception we had to change to another junior suite ( which didn’t have a bath) by the private pool which is quiet. The hotel is hived off from Puerta Romana resort and is difficult to know where one ends and the other begins. The buildings are obviously older apartments which have been converted quite well inside but are obvious from the outside of what they were. The private pool is small and can only seat about 25, the guys at the bar are good and friendly. It opens at 11am but doesn’t get busy until about 1pm when the floor show starts. It gets full of silly self obsessed girls who spend all their time posing for photos and being loud enough so your supposed to notice them. Really funny for a while but gets rather annoying once the novelty factor wore off as others our age agreed. Only ate once in Nobu itself which again is the place to be seen but doesn’t match up to London, so expensive but you are in Marbella so remember your designer labels get some implants and make sure your make up is in place, guys included.. All in all hotel generally ok but as I said around the plaza is party night till 3 am so if you want relaxing don’t stay in the rooms around it.

Dear Gary w, Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay. We are very pleased that you found the service to be very good and the rooms comfortable. Our Junior Suites mainly overlook the garden areas, there are also a few situated around the vibrant Plaza. Nobu Hotel Marbella is located in the resort, and although it shares the facilities with Puente Romano it has its own adults only pool exclusively for Nobu guests to enjoy. We are however sorry to hear that other guests bothered you while you were at our pool. We hope to welcome you again. With kind regards, Lucie Millner Executive Assistant

Unfortunately I think you end up paying for the Nobu famous name, but if it were not for the name it would be priced much lower . When you pay these rates I think the client is entitled to demand the highest quality...
The room was very disappointing. I couldn’t believe that while inside the room with all the windows closed you could hear people walking by, you could actually listen to their conversation as they passed. Any door shut in the building or any car passing by. This is unacceptable if you are paying these prices ... one of the two sinks in the bathroom was broken and leaked out onto the floor. We called to report it and it was never fixed.
The breakfast buffet was also disappointing. Very hectic and long lines in the few stations they have (I understand the new COVID norms are difficult, but the stations needed more personnel to handle the demand), the service was very lackluster, you had to order several times the same thing for it to be brought to the table (I saw this in many tables). Also the food was nothing special either.

In general it felt like a tourist trap. I will look for other options on my next trip.

Our trip itinerary was fairly busy, so we included a four night stay at this resort hotel to chill out. We were given a room overlooking the heart of the resort, which is a large outdoor bar which is encircled by several open air restaurants. The noise from the disco beat music and singing drunk patrons was unbelievably loud. It lasted until 2am and was followed by continued yelling and singing for an additional hour each night. We tried one of the restaurants (Thai food) the first night and it was too loud to carry on a conversation, the service was extremely slow, and it was the worst food of our two week trip. The grounds are lush, but the pools areas are nothing special. Not anything to compare with other resorts we have visited. On a positive note, the small poolside restaurant named Rachel's was very good and reasonably priced for breakfast and lunch.

I love Nobu restaurants (like us all) all over the world. Worth every penny & always a great experience.

I booked a two night stay at the Nobu hotel thinking that it would be of the same standard. BIG MISTAKE!

Staff a pretty rude & arrogant. Both at reception and most definitely at breakfast.

Rooms are average rooms. Small. £320 basic room b&B so for 5* price you'd expect something a bit bigger.

The hotel is simply rebranded corner of the Punto Romano. The pools are tired. The one Adult only pool (for the adult only hotel AKA Nobu) is so small and there are not enough beds for the hotel guests. We realised that none hotel guests were sitting there and management did nothing about it.

Breakfast was an awful experience. Expect to wait about 25 minutes for anything and if you order a coffee, I will put £10 on it not arriving or if it does arrive, it won't be what you ordered.

Continental food is meh and the cooked options are nothing special.

Disappointing!

We wanted 2 or 3 nights somewhere special for my birthday so we looked online and saw that Nobu had a 10/10 rating . With that we arrived in our motorhome which was parked for us by very good friendly astute valet parking man . We had had a long hot stressful journey so the welcome was just what we needed. The staff that checked us in were amazing! They were lovely actually , even petting our little dog Pocket and giving him water straight away which we loved ( so did he! ).
We were upgraded to a suite which was fabulous! We even had a lovely little bed and bowls for Pocket. The restaurants at Nobu were all fantastic ! We didn’t eat anywhere else for the whole stay ! They all allowed us to bring pocket which made a huge difference to our enjoyment. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal! With so much choice , such quality produce and friendly helpful staff. We loved sitting out in the terrace with Pocket watching the little birds every morning. On my birthday we had complimentary Pol Roger champagne and they had gone to the trouble of making me a custom made birthday cake with a campervan on it which we found especially lovely . The hotels grounds and gardens were so so well kept and well developed. Every day we noticed new flowers and the stream running through added to the charm.
After 24 hours of being at Nobu we decided to extend our stay to a week then later we extended it again to just over two weeks. We loved it there so much and will most certainly be back in the future.
All the staff in the hotel were impeccable. We loved the fact that whenever we passed someone walking through the hotel they always said a friendly “Hola”.
The hotel staff were the best we have ever experienced with their level of genuine care and attention to detail. The room was cleaned very well every day and the toiletries and other complimentary things were of a very high standard and no expense spared.
Every day we used the spa. The spa facilities were the best we have ever experienced ( and we frequently use spa hotels ) the spa treatments were also amazing and the staff there were so professional and genuinely caring that they all felt like personal friends by the end of the first week! We especially loved Arlete for her in depth superb knowledge and incredible skills . She recommended great products which we are still using and are amazing! We also want to mention Angeles who was also one of our favourites for her kindness , extra care and angelic way ! All of the staff at the six senses spa were 10/10 for giving us 5 star treatment and we loved every minute of our time there.
All of the guest experience staff were 10/10 a big thank you to Reuben and Alexandra especially!

Spent a weekend at the Nobu hotel with my wife. The service was first class and we enjoyed a junior suite which also had a small sunny terrace. Everything with the resort is first class and so tastefully done. There are loads of restaurants and we got to try out Bibo (lots of great dishes to share) - try the kale and broccolini salad & oxtail burgers. At Nobu, we went for the tasting menu and the black cod was amazing. An incredible breakfast buffet was served at the Sea Grill restaurant where one has an excellent view of the beach and pool.

We also enjoyed the SPA and wet room but with the limited capacity, you will need to make a prior booking for weekend visits.

Next time I hope we can come for a week!

I stayed at the Puente Romano waayyyy back when. So staying at the Nobu brought back so many memories 😃.

We stayed in two interconnecting rooms that were amazing, with a bath that has a jacuzzi function, a great shower and shampoos/creams by Natura Bisse. None of us would fault them. The restaurants are great, Nobu and Coya wow as usual with impeccable service, food on another level, La Leña is delicious, the only let down being Cipriani tbh, maybe they had an off day, but I would avoid it. Cipriani in Dubai or Monaco could teach them a thing or 3. La Plaza for the adventurous, but hey, it is summer! We didn’t try Jardins Du Liban, but Chiringuito was excellent and the place to have a yummy breakfast by the beach.

The beach itself is typical, and the staff are helpful, specially Lucas. The Sea Grill serves delicious Sushi/Sashimi on the beach as well as a spinach salad to die for. I mean I generally am not a fan of salads, but I highly recommend it. Burgers are great also.

Then we have the Spa, Six Senses, with Sauna, Steam, jacuzzi, ice bath plunge pool and, the best bit, the actual massages. From Therese to Arlette, to the Manager Laura who was extremely helpful. Thank you all 😁. But seriously, we, as a family have had massages from Dubai to Thailand to many places in between, and, to our utter surprise, this place beat them ALL hands down. Honestly all 5 of us (Mum, dad, 2 daughters aged 22 and 19 and a boy aged 14 who is taller than I am 😳) thought these were the best massages we have ever had. Serious talent. Book early and often, except next summer when u should leave them free for us 😂.

At the front desk, I have to say that Ruben was genuine and personable and definitely in charge. Many thanks 🙏.

Would we come back? A resounding Si! from us all. More Marbella and definitely more Nobu Hotel, more Swans, more, more, more.

Hopefully we will be back next year, a resounding success of a family holiday.

Btw, the sea, even in July/Aug, will freeze the bxlls of a brass monkey, we just loved it 😀.

Had high expectations having experienced the Nobu brand in its restaurants but this fell a little flat! Whilst advertised as an adult only exclusive boutique experience the reality seems to be it is a hotel created from carving off a small section of Puerto Romana ?? Whilst Nobu restaurants has a unique proposition with a eclectic fusion of Japanese and Peruviam cuisine, the hotel felt like it had neither Japanese or Peruvian influence anywhere ? This confused me somewhat. Yes it is a luxury hotel with a beautiful beige/ creamy palette but it did seem to lack a specific
identidy to me ?? Mayby if they had called
it Ubon I would have had different
expectations? It is a beautiful hotel and
bedrooms are large and spacious even at
entry level. Hotel staff were very
customer focussed in all areas. This
horrible covid19 pandemic has meant
that the buffet breakfast has had to be
revamped. This didnt really work very well
but it is still early days and maybe needs
little time to settle in ? It is a managed /
served buffet where staff serve you but
there were congestion issues where clients were not respecting self distancing. The hotel has
rightly self distanced all dining tables to
Spain's 1.5 meter rule. Pool area and
grounds are delightful but I just felt you
could be in any luxury hotel anywhere. It
dosnt feel a brand. Maybe it's just me with
high expectations from being a restaurant
client over the years ??? I believe there are about a dozen Nobu hotels around the world and the brand is still expanding. First opening was in Las Vegas about 7 years ago. I understand Robert De Niro is a major shareholder in the business ? Nobu Marbella is lovely but it didnt get me wanting to see where the next Nobu hotel I could stay in was located ! I would have given a good overall rating but TA allows
only average or very good. An average
rating would have been mean and so I
have gone for very good overall. The Nobu
restaurant is excellent !

HI, there is Six Senses Spa & small indoor pool, gym, outside pool, very good tennis club. You can use all facilities of both, Nobu and Puente Romano hotel and I think (not sure, pls check with the reception) some of Marbella Club. There is a very nice paseo also you can walk on the sea line to Marbella centre and opposite way to Puerto Banus

A silly addition to the Nobu. If you are staying at the hotel and go down to have a coffee at the Lebanese restaurant before noon they tell you it’s reserved for “owned club”. Such silly marketing gimmicks should be beyond a top class hotel.
