My husband and I have just returned from a 10 day stay and I’m wishing I was still there. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews about the amount of English spoken but we did not have a problem at all. Yes, the first language used is French but once anyone realised you didn’t understand, they switched straight away. The rooms and surrounding grounds are spotless and really well maintained, and every member of staff were friendly and enthusiastic. There is a large choice of food in the restaurant so always something for everyone.

Our main reason for coming here was that we wanted to improve our tennis skills. We joined the beginners group lessons every morning and then took a paid for lesson after. Elio our teacher was amazing. He clearly loves Tennis and his enthusiasm shone through in his teaching so by the end of our stay, we definitely noticed the improvement in our game. Would highly recommend him if you’re looking to advance your skills!

I also took the opportunity to try something new and had a go on the Trapeze. Again, the team led by Robin are all excellent teachers and encouragers! From the first scream during the first swing to the final catch, Robin, Michela, Judith, Mathis and Eythan made you feel safe and encouraged you to progress quickly through the week. A definite must try!

We had a fabulous time and already planning our next trip!

Beautiful newly renovated resort: eye catching design indoors and outdoors, spacious rooms. Does not feel crowded (during our stay hotel was about 80% capacity): buffet restaurant has several indoors and outdoors areas and there are three swimming pools.
Lots of activities: tennis, paddle tennis, archery, trapeze, hiking, gym. Golf, of course. Hikes in the mountain are absolutely stunning - I’ve never been a fan of hiking, this time we went four times and could have done more. There is an app, ClubMed Guide, which has the hiking routes, with GPS directions - scan QR code from the wooden board on the right from main entrance outside. Tennis team was not my preferred - missed the teaching and instructions, also all was in French, though part of group was English speaking. Circus is fantastic: next to flying trapeze they have the cube, with bungee, trampoline, balancing and more, lots to try and chose from. Circus Team is amazing: they are a true team, work in sync together, and have fun. Robin, chef of the Cirque, runs it under tight control, full attention to security, things are organised. At the same time there is a lot of fun and the team creates that unique atmosphere where people come to hang out during trapeze hours even when not flying. Marcos, Michaela and Robin are invested in teaching, that’s the first time I had that level of instruction - which makes people progress fast and enjoy it even more. Archery was not advertised in any way - we found out it exists and operates by the end of the stay. Overall, from all the leads, Margout, chef du sport, was the least engaged in day-to-day of her area and least looking to engage with customers.
GO team is high energy and invested in creating great experience. Chef de Village, Pierre Jean, is doing fantastic job with his teams, both in organisation and in motivation, they own the place and the service. We are not new to ClubMed, this GO team was, probably, the most genuinely engaged we’ve had.
Things are organised. Best service in the restaurant: fast, friendly. The Bar crew is efficient and interacting with customers, they also manage to keep all areas amazingly free of clutter: almost never an empty glass left anywhere. Area around pool, sunbeds and all maintained with scrutiny. Problems (which inevitably happen) were resolved fast and efficiently, also thanks to the Second in Command.
Miniclub is great – Mappy runs things well-organized and structured (putting sun screen, managing big group of kids, keeping it fun experience.), Simone and Valentin do a great job, and the GOs are putting in a lot of energy and positiveness : Maxime, Ugo, Arthur, Tamira, everyone, honestly, creates great moments for the kids and keep things in hand. Arthur went an extra mile when he felt our daughter was upset – it meant a lot. The MiniClub show is fun and emotional – definitely one to watch. There is also nice area for kids to play outside of miniclub, with a splashpool which is a lot of fun, zip line, some climbing nets and with some shade.
Food was good - plenty of choice, healthy, local flavours, the must pizza-pasta-burger must haves, very-very good meat. I missed some finishing touches, mostly a sauce to round up the served dish, and some boldness of flavours, but definitely high quality food, good raw material and big variety. Also a theme almost every night with some special dishes, which are amazing.
Reception is probably the area that needs to get up to speed: so far the staff does not know a lot of things about resort (dress code or schedule, for ex.), they forget things asked for, service in not the greatest (you can have customers waiting and the three staff members chatting to each other, or leaving in front of you not even recognising the fact you are there… ). They are friendly and do want to help, reception as is is the most customer facing area, I am sure things will pick up.
Overall - one of the best experiences in ClubMed, great resort and efficient and inspired management.

First trip to Club Med for me but my partner has been many times as he enjoys the tennis. I wasn't sure what to expect but I enjoyed it.
The hotel is newly renovated so all areas were gleaming. Its a high-rise with balconies and although very full it was peaceful at night in the room and the lifts have new technology so are fast. Comfortably 4 star lodging with 5 star facilities.
My partner was happy with his morning tennis and afternoon padel and I loved the winding pathways through the gardens to walk. Will be even prettier when the landscaping comes in. I should think someone with limited mobility or a wheelchair user would be able to get around too. Although on a hill, inclines are kept soft where possible and there are hand rails.
Pools of many kinds ( resort, indoor, child, zen) were all good although my partner said the zen pool was cold.
Lots of fun had by the smaller children in the kids camp ( it was term time) and you would see them out and about with their groups sometimes or putting on a show.
Food is where they really shine. They have a massive indoor/outdoor restaurant above the main bar and pool that could seat anyone who wanted to be there. No lines whatever for tables. Buffet had so much choice, was well looked after and it wasn't done cheaply- whole 6ft swordfish being handcut for sashimi, oysters, steak, fish, pasta, pizza, and so much fabulous salad and fruit. You could eat a 3 course meal at every sitting but still feel healthy. Just wish a French cafetiere had been available for coffee at breakfast but the croissants were first rate. There is a restaurant with table service and we had no trouble getting a reservation (only required for dinner) but liked the choice in the buffet better in the end.
None of the old Club Med issues of being stingy with towels or enforced socialising. Anyone could come and relax from young families to older couples like us. Just find what you like. There is a lot on offer.
The manager was very welcoming upon arrival and visible throughout the day so you know he is very much in touch.

The resort is nicely designed and rooms are luxurious when compared to other club meds. We loved having connecting sea view rooms; we were at the end of the hall, which reduced noise. The noise from the shows stops around 11; we didn’t mind it too much. Club Med is very well equipped for traveling with small kids, but couldn’t imagine going there without kids. While others noted that there was lack of English spoken, it must depend on when you go and that was not an issue when we went as there were lots of British and even some Americans, this was Aug 30-Sep 4. Location is good. It’s great to be able to take an 8 min taxi ride to Marbella’s old town or see other sights and go out to dinner, so we didn’t spend our entire days at the hotel. I recommend sticking around the hotel for the Wednesday evening garden party and Friday night they do a nicer dinner as a farewell bc a lot of people tend to depart on Saturday. The spa is great too, but book it before you go as it was all booked up for the week once we arrived.

We had an incredible stay at Club Med Magna Marbella. It was a peaceful location, everything was brand new. As a mother this was the break I needed. I did not have to worry about a thing, food and drinks, including snacks all day are provided - so no food shopping at all!! The kids entertainment and facilities are amazing. My son loved the kids club, the facilities and activities were great, the staff were fun and nice.

My husband enjoyed the variety of sports and free lessons/tuition, so he had a week full of activities.

We had such a great time we never even left the resort to go out and visit anywhere.

This is a real place for relaxation, getting away from it all, leave the stress behind, place. As are all Clubmed.

We love the fact that when you arrive you put your wallet in the safe and don't need it. There is nothing to pay our for when you are there unless you want to buy a bottle of champagne or some of the lovely items in the shop, or pay for 1:1 sports lessons. The cost of the holiday is what you pay when you book, there are not extras.

The food is amazing, so much variety, the quality is incredible, different choices for each meal. Again we ate in the same restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we did not even try the other restaurant because the meal was so good in the main one.

Being able to get drinks is great too - everything is included - not like those all inclusive hotels where they have a vending machine with wine and plastic cups, this is a proper bar full of included drinks inc cocktails.

Everything and everywhere you look is high quality.

The staff are fab too, always happy, always smiling and saying helle, they are obviously chosen for their personality and hard work!

We have been going to Clubmed for over 20 years and love it! This hotel was no exception, in fact it was impressive.

We will be back next year!

The newest resort and one of the best yet!
Beautiful setting, spacious grounds and fantastic views to all 4 aspects of the hotel.
Tasteful decor with a lot of respect to Spanish culture and heritage.
The works were still ongoing during our stay (landscaping and snagging in the building), but none were intrusive and didn’t interfere with our holiday.
The food was simply phenomenal! Way better than in any other other clubs of this category and cooked to perfection. Not a day was disappointing in the dining area.
The evening shows were some of the best I have ever seen in Clubmed and the Water World on the last night has left us with absolutely magical memories. Michaela who performed in the air (see photos) was simply mesmerising.
The most special thank you to two people who have made this week unforgettable. Raphael who led the body awakening session in the morning and Magali. Magali is a yoga goddess! For starter, I was pleasantly surprised that the club had a dedicated yoga instructor. Someone with deep knowledge of this ancient practice, genuine passion and desire to share. She also had amazing skills in teaching us meditation and breathing techniques. This level of training one would only expect from a yoga specific training centre, so massive well done to ClubMed for bringing a specialist of her class to the club. Secondly, she has such soothing voice that when you go through the final relaxation phase it feel so healing. Massive gem and if you are coming to Marbella this season, definitely aim to attend all her classes. I think this week of practice with Magali had just recovered me from all the running races I have done in the past few weeks. She is the best memory I have of this trip. I concretely hope our paths will cross again.

Well done to the chef of the village. Superb job! And it did genuinely feel that the GO were absolutely loving their job in a good way.

One final mention is to the staff in the dining room. I have never ever experienced such a superb service in Club Med. The local team that waited table were absolutely brilliant! Friendly, efficient, smily. One of the girls was gently dancing to the music while cleaning the tables, that tells you the world. It was so nice to see that the club was not only good to its guests, but also was good to the staff who were genuinely happy to be there.

Only the most beautiful memories.

The facility is very nice and the food quality is very good compared to other club meds (Sandpiper, Turks, Punta Cana, Ixtapa). Be prepared that 95% of the guests speak French, and consequently that is the default language by GOs. (Staff are local and so speak Spanish). With a full resort there was a Total of 70 English speaking guests during our stay. Tennis and Paddle announcements and instructions will always first be in French, and often not in English at all. They assume everyone speaks French and if you don't you'll have to ask. There is an evening gathering for English speakers, don't miss it, and consider arranging to be at the same table for the Wednesday garden dinner. If you want beer at the garden party dinner, bring it down from the main bar. You must sign up the day before for Paddle Tennis lessons (at the Tennis clubhouse) or you won't get in. This is the only Club Med where GOs get 2 days off. Consequently, there is pretty much no organized sports on Saturday, and not a lot on Sunday either. The trapeze team is fantastic, but there is no trapeze on Saturday or Sunday. There is trampoline, static and juggling on Sunday. Tuesday is the guest trapeze show by invite if you have a successful trick. The sit down restaurant La Tierra is quieter, probably because the menu doesn't appeal to most kids. Reservations for dinner are required at Tierra, but not for breakfast or lunch. Our visit into old town (Orange Square) and down to the beach was not worth doing. Finding a taxi back was a very unpleasant experience. We love Spain, Marbella not so much. Chef of the Village Jean Pierre greets you with a genuine smile several times a day (he's everywhere), is welcoming and approachable.

We stayed at Club Med Magna Marbella from 11 to 18 July 2023. The holiday was to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday and we had invited all our family, 11 of us, five grandsons, aged five, 10, 12, 14 and 18, and our son and daughter and their spouses

Our holiday exceeded all expectations, and we had a wonderful time! The staff, G.Os and local were helpful, efficient and exceedingly pleasant. The chef de village, Pierre Jean is inspirational. Sometimes we thought he must have a twin because he seemed to be everywhere, always smiling and good natured and obviously giving a wonderful example to all his staff. Special mention must go to Andrea, the kindly restaurant manager who organised a reserved table for us for the whole of our stay. the reception staff were excellent, probably I would give the lovely Ghizane special mention but all of them were very helpful dealing with matters like lost property and any problems with the rooms. The GOstaff were excellent, incredible energy and enthusiasm. The local staff were smiling and responsive and I would particularly mention Claudia, Bodo and the endearing Brazilian waiter and the lovely Camerounais in the restaurant who made meal times that little bit more enjoyable.

The food was excellent. There was something for everyone. The kids loved it and so did we.

The rooms were beautiful, well designed and kept clean and tidy by a very efficient maid service.

We were fortunate enough to be in Marbella. for the 14th of July, and to be honest, none of us have ever experienced a fête quite like it. It was just wonderful and the organisation that must’ve gone on behind the scenes was mind-boggling.

I really can’t praise our visit enough. In an ideal world, it would’ve been nice to have a shuttle bus to go to the beach, but it was quite easy and not expensive to take a taxi. It would also have been nice to have a shady pool to swim in with the children were possibly swimming lessons could’ve been organised. The main large pool did get a bit hectic at times.

I personally loved the Zen pool, and the Spanish buggy drivers were charming and helpful. The wellness pool was great too, particularly as the weather was extremely hot and it afforded some Shade and cooler water.

What a holiday! We have experienced club med before (Palmiye in Turkey) so had high expectations. However the negative reviews had me worried. The negative reviews are simply not true! The chief de village, Pierre, is everywhere & he works so hard, always with a smile on his face. On our first day we mentioned to him that some of the steps at the pool were dangerous. On the same day he had fixed the problem- see photo. Thank you Pierre! The entire team of staff spoke lots of languages, so communicating was never a problem. The rooms were above expectations in terms of size, luxury & very quiet (we had 2 interconnecting sea view rooms) Our kids are 15 & 11, didn’t want to bother with the teens club so can’t comment on that. We ventured into Marbella one day which was a quick 10 min taxi ride, then we walked down to the sea front which was lovely easy to do. Food was fantastic, no complaints at all (we are foodies!) Lots going on in the evenings- something for everyone. Very safe resort, we loved it & will definitely return.

The hard product of this village is really solid. Our room is stunning - the view from our balcony was simply breathtaking! We really enjoyed the tennis (the courts were in an immaculate condition), hanging around the zen pool and enjoying fresh fruit cocktails, and eating at the two high quality restaurants. The GO team, led by Pierre Jean, is doing a fantastic job. Special thanks to Sophie (RDM), Asmaa (Guest relations), Olena (Speciality restaurant manager), Jeaninne (Bar), Mina (Zen bar) and Rim (boutique). We will be coming back, for sure.

Apologies - have only just seen your question. We were high up in the building and heard no noise. I’m guessing that rooms on the lower floors may be in hearing of the evening entertainment especially if at the front of the hotel. But as with all Club Med properties this doesn’t go on very late. In terms of traffic noise there is a road running up the left hand side as you face the front of the hotel. However it wasn’t that busy and even walking near it in the garden and by the tennis courts it wasn’t a problem.

Apologies - I’ve only just seen your question and I’m afraid I can’t recall the type of coffee machine in the room. I very rarely make coffee/tea in any hotel room as they never have fresh milk in the fridge unless you get it yourself. At this Club Med, as will all their properties, it’s easy to get a good cup of coffee most of the day from the restaurant or bar.
