Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fell in love with the place, short visit just a few nights so perfect location in town . Short walk to the beach, close to lots of nice places to eat, close to the train station. Lovely bar and place to eat in the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff so kind and friendly. Room clean, cool and comfy, amazing night sleep. Can't recommend it highly enough if you want a hotel in the town

Amazing hotel bang in the centre of Torremolinos, not far to lift down to the beach or steps if feeling energetic. Rooms are of generous size and cover the basics , kettles could be hired at reception. Staff are amazing and will go out of there way to help if they can . Food was amazing too especially for the low cost. Decor was very swish and you can tell has been recently been decorated. Outside seating was a nice sun trap and great place to people watch. Overall brilliant stay ..so good booked to go back in September.

We decided to extend our holiday by 4 nights and our original hotel was fully booked for the weekend. So instead we booked Hotel El Pozo for the last 4 nights. IMPORTANT NOTE: for those seeking sun. This hotel appears to have a sun terrace with a hottub. That is ONLY FOR USE BY THE SUITE, no outdoor space for normal rooms. Hotel was clean and rooms made up daily. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Rooms and hotel decor generally quite dated. But suited our needs. We had planned to do excursions and use beach for the last few days of our trip so we were not limited by lack of outdoor space. We had a late flight home but unfortunately due to Saturday check out we could not avail of late check out as the room was required. This was not an issue for us however as the hotel had no outdoor space we found ourselves off to our previous hotel to use the pool for the day. The hotel stored our bags until we were ready to leave for the airport. Hotel does not offer a shower room or changing facilities other than a free room (if available and there wasn't in our case). We changed in the lobby, staff offered us the staff rest room area. We were able to pay for taxi to airport through the reception 20€ fixed price. Based on our observations this hotel is ideal for those looking to use this as a base for bars and clubs not sun goers. Hotel is noisy at the weekend with revelers returning after the clubs close.

Great location, very close to lively bars and restaurants. Also very close to the gay bars and clubs which were really busy, so there was some street noise. The lady on reception was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is currently only open during the weekends. This means that if you want to stay during the weekend & then a weekday, you have to switch rooms to a separate building. The room we had was in the main hotel for just 1 night and then we moved to a different hotel. The room was quite dated, dark and we had no hot water when we checked out. The man in reception when we checked wasn't as helpful and was very keen that the hotel must close at midday on Sunday - not very practical. The cleaner also came knocking at 12:04pm pointing ot her watch, so we definitely got the message. It's a shame as its a great location but the hotel could be improved.

Stayed here for a 3 night break with 2 other mates for a long weekend break. Ideal location for gay bars & restaurants and town centre with easy pleasant 10 min walk to beach front. Staff friendly and reception and bar area. Room clean and spacious really couldn’t ask for anything better for a cheap break away. Definitely return thank you. The reception area has some lovely art work displayed also.

El Pozo Hotel is in a great location and is close to the train station if you are travelling by train from Malaga airport. It's in a busy part of Torremolinos with everything you need on your doorstep. It's a 'steep' walk to the beach but a public lift is close by and it only costs 50 cents each. The bus to Malaga is close by and you must pay a visit to this lovely city. The hotel is spotless and towels are changed every day ....... have to say the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in in a hotel. Try the Hotel El Pozo and you won't be disappointed.

We stayed here last night, we knew we would be arriving late so we needed somewhere handy from the airport. It was perfect for our needs we arrived after ten and were greeted by a guy on the reception who dealt with the booking in and in no time we had our room. The room was spotless and very comfortable. It was a shame that we weren’t staying longer. We did not book breakfast as there are loads of places local in fact outside the front door is a cracking bar. The hotel is a great location for the centre and only five minutes from the station. It’s one that we would visit again.

The room was spacious clean a bit smelly (weird odor), the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect within walking distance to everything shops, restaurants, and the beach. I will definitively stay again for the right price.

We have visited Torremolinos multiple times and decided to stay in the old town for this visit and we made a reservation for a balcony room. Upon arrival we were given a very warm welcome by the Andres, the hotel manager. He gave us options which room to choose and we selected room 24 which has a lovely balcony in midst of bougainvillea plants. It felt like having a private garden in the middle of the old town. Location is perfect with plenty of restaurants and bars. Train to airport, Málaga and other beach communities is 3 minutes by foot. Room was very clean and spacious. It includes fridge and safe. We can definitely recommend this hotel and we will come back.
