This small hotel is high up in the Albaicin in a tiny side street. Taxis will drop you off at the end of the street and it a hairy experience as they navigate the tiny streets and tight corners!

It has a lovely patio where a complimentary typically Spanish breakfast is served each morning. We had a room with a small shared patio from which there was a view if you stood of the Alhambra and the distant Sierra Nevada. The main patio serving all the rooms was lovely and a peaceful place to sit with many flowering shrubs. Our room was small but beautifully furnished and very quiet to sleep.

The owner Ainhoa was fabulous and with Carmen, gave a very personal service; I was recovering from a broken ankle and the steep cobbled streets were not easy for me (note for anyone with mobility issues). Ainhoa recommended nearby fabulous restaurants and how we should see Granada in my circumstances and called us taxis which were so cheap and quick to come.

I thoroughly recommend this as somewhere to stay.

Lovely property situated in a quiet street in a choice spot in the Albaicin: three minute walk to several buses (including a regular shuttle to Alhambra which, anyway, is in easy walking distance) as well as to other good sites and restaurants. Friendly, charming, responsive, helpful and well-informed staff ensured a happy atmosphere. Good breakfasts.
Parking is available close by but make sure to follow carefully the access instructions you will be given: driving in that area is not for the nervous.
A minor criticism is that the bedroom we had is of modest size.

I stayed here with my family and it was amazing! The rooms were very nice and clean. The location grants a more local experience of the area too! There is a nice view of the Alhambra and very tasty, homemade traditional Spanish breakfast. The customer service was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! I would highly recommend staying here if visiting Granada.

This lovely establishment is nestled far from the crowds and busy-ness of the town despite being so close to it. A bit of a climb thru cobblestone streets and down a narrow street you will find this jewel of a home with a beautiful patio, attractive bedrooms, 2 that open to a terrace, and a relaxing common area. Breakfast is included and the friendliness of the owner and her suggestions for the area make the entire stay very enjoyable. There is more to see than just Alhambra, for which you need a full day, so plan accordingly.

Fantastic find. Would definitely stay here again. Ainhoa is a brilliant host and can't do enough for you. She also does lunches and evening meals on request. We had dinner one day and it was great. Location is superb as well. Don't miss out on this place.

It will be very difficult to write something very different than the others before me, but nonetheless, our complimentary remarks need to be heard and the favorable votes incremented!

Old house, fully renovated very recently, with all modern amenities.

It is situated on a pedestrian street, in a very quiet area of the heart of Albayzin. It is a 15-20 min stroll down to the new part of the city (Calle Reyes Catolicos) and bus stations (to Alhambra for example) and it is not difficult to walk back even though it is an uphill path. We are not fit at all and we did not have problems, but need to consider that it was October and the weather not as hot as in the summer (just about 15 to 25 Celsius in the evening). The cobblestone is quite pointy, so be careful how you walk not to sprain your ankle (especially if wearing sandals); actually this is valid everywhere in the old town.
Parking is available (for an additional fee), a few minutes away. Calle Quijada, has a 2-3 feet strip with flat pavement all along to easily roll your suitcases and you can drive your car to its end, 50m away from the Posada, to (un)load it!

The lady owner Ainhoa is an excellent host, loves her business and makes you really feel at home. Julia and Coralie are super nice and helpful, providing loads of information and suggestions to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. They both speak native French as well..for those interested to practice their language skills.

We had a small room on the first floor (four-leaf clover) facing the inner courtyard. It was very quiet and the sleep quality excellent, big bed and great mattress for my problematic back. Ample space for clothes in a custom built armoire. No chair, so maybe some additional hooks on the wall would be helpful to stay organized. The bathroom is a good size, very well appointed.
There is no space to place a desk to do some traveller's work (like sorting pictures, planning the next day or the next stop), so some good idea of a small folding table might be helpful. There is though enough comfortable space to sit at the tables on the patio, so you can just bring all the travel related paraphernalia there and enjoy the atmosphere, like we did! (The pictures do not do justice to that space!)

Breakfast (included) is served before 8:30 AM upon request, very nice for our early leave to Alhambra. On the table cold cuts, cheese, 3-4 jams, butter, bread, fresh home made cake, hot milk, coffee, tea...

Overall it was a great experience and we would love to go back again, stay longer and drive around on day trips, in the region around Granada!

This is a lovely small Posada (guest house) in a recently restored house in the historic area of the Albiacin. It is in a charming narrow street and with the help of maps and google earth is easy to find. One can either climb through the maze of streets or catch the number 31 bus to the Plaza San Miguel Bajo and walk down hill to the Calle de Quijada. On arrival we were greeted by Ainhoa the owner. She shows every attention to detail to make your trip personal, from the lovely individualised rooms of which there are 5 , to the useful tips about the places to visit in Granada. A lovely personal touch was when she left a tray in our room with a bottle of wine ,glasses and a note to wish my husband a happy Birthday.
We stayed in the Coral room which has a balcony overlooking the court yard and a terrace shared with the lilac room that has stunning views of the Alhambra.
Breakfast was served in the courtyard patio ,fresh squeezed orange juice , mollete (traditional Andalusian bread), served with tomatoes and olive oil, cheese and salami, homemade cakes and coffee. I believe that other meals are available on request, though Ainhoa made some excellent suggestions for taps bars in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any one who is wanting to stay in the heart of the Albiacin in a small personal Posada.

This is a tiny hotel in a tiny street (too small for cars) in a maze of alleys that make for stiff walking. But what a wonderful, personal, charming welcome! The food is excellent - don't miss Ainhoa's home-cooked dinner. There is even an in-house golden retriever!

This is a place where you are immediately on first-name terms with everyone, hosts, guests and the dog too. We were utterly charmed and will remember our stay for ever. Absolutely recommended.

I had the most wonderful restful time staying with the lovely ladies that run this bed and breakfast. For those that don't know Granada, it's sort of a U shape Place! One side is the Albaycin area which is an old HILLY cobbled area with tiny narrow but well lit streets, relatively car free too as the streets are so narrow. There is very little in the way of noise either from traffic or houses as noise is taken very seriously by the authorities. The lower flat area is the main part of the city with all the usual hassle and bustle, then the other hilly side of the U shape is the Alhambra. Posada de Quijada is in the Albaycin area and although up a steep cobbled hill, it is most definitely worth it. It only takes five minutes to walk into the town where all the hubbub is so you're certainly not cut off from anything. I felt perfectly safe walking around the area and appreciated the truly lovely atmosphere. The place it self wasn't the easiest to find so I would urge you to take at least two screen shots of the map, I'm so glad I did this as the taxi driver wasn't sure where it was so I exited the taxi a little early and then my wifi just wouldn't kick in for some reason. I would have been stuck if I hadn't had the map photos. Google maps let me down ! Anyway all my worries dissolved when I had the warm welcome in excellent English. My room was beautifully clean and very welcoming. Hair drier was better than my own, sheets and bedding were perfect, shower had amazing pressure, adequate storage for clothes. Breakfast was just wonderful, great coffee, loads to choose from, fresh juice was simply delicious and all taken in the most delightful little courtyard. I think what really does make it a five star rating though were the staff, nothing was too much trouble and their command of English is excellent. I could see they really cared about their guests and they went out of their way to answer all my random questions from how to cook a perfect tortilla to which bus to get to Alhambra! They were so friendly and helpful and happy to provide me with an evening meal too. All beautifully home cooked too of course. I would most definitely say they looked after their guests with love. I really can't fault it and I felt was very reasonable for the price too. I stayed for quite a few nights so really got a flavour of the place and would recommend it without hesitation.
