Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have stayed here twice since we were backpacking. It was a really nice experience after a terrible one in Paris. The private rooms are a bit impersonal and could use some more homely colors or overall decoration. Staff is decent although very laidback.

This hostel was the worst hostel I stayed in a really long time, if not ever. I think only the place in London that leaked brown water from the walls onto our beds was worse.

My boyfriend and I were planning to stay here for 4 nights. It would cost us 70€ per night for a private dorm ensuite. We tought it would be worth it, looking at all the positive reviews. Boy were we wrong!

The room (#21) was really small with a terrible bed. We could not even place our bags on the Floor without blocking the doors or our path to the bed. There was no locker, which is not always the case in a private room. In this case there should be lockers since neither the door nor the window really locks. The door can be opened with a little nudge, so your valuable stuff is not safe at all!

As I stated the window, or actually they are more balcony doors, dont really lock. With this comes a lot of noise from the square and the restaurants on this square. Of course we are not expecting total silence when you are staying (somewhat) in the center of a city, but here it sounds like your laying in the middle of the restaurant with your matress. The noise didnt stop untill at least 2 a.m. And then they cleared all the chairs and tables and started cleaning, again a lot of noise, which isnt blocked by anything.

The bed was really bad. The matress was really old and laying on the Floor was more comfortable. It squeeked really loudly, so turning around in bed was a party.

Also there was a lot of noise from the other guests that went partying, but that is expected here, as they do promote to be a party hostel.

We knew we were staying at a hostel, we love staying at hostels. However, when they are charging €70 per night for a room, the least you should be able to expect is a place to stow your stuff savely and a descent bed. Both were hard to find in this place.

The next morning we made the best decision we made this entire trip. We decided to leave this place and move to The Corner House (go stay there, same price and way better location and rooms). When I told the girl working here that we wanted to leave, she was not really helpfull. I asked if we could get a partial refund, because we had already paid the full price. She told me we could get 2 nights back. However, when we came back down with our bags, she changed this to 1 night. So we ended up paying €210 to stay here for 1 night, where we may have slept for a maximum of 2 hours. My boyfriend still had backpains from that night and it has been 4 days now since we left. Really poor service, it wasnt that we wanted to move after our first night, to first promise us €140 back and than only giving us €70, was a really sucky move.

Maybe it's a Nice place to stay if your traveling alone, i cant say anything about that. But DONT stay here in a private room, it's a Total waste of money and a big mistake! I expected a lot, Reading the reviews. But this was just a Total disaster!

I planned to give an acceptable opinion about the hostel but what YOU (male member of the staff) did with the keys to me was disgusting:

First off, what on earth did you mean by "i`m argentinian and you are argentinian too, put me a 100% in your review"...sorry but you have to gain the 100%, not only for sharing a nationality i wanna put a 100% in my opinion ( i don`t care if the others opinions are not as good as the ones you need to maintain your job).

Then you told me that i didn`t pay 10 euros for the keys, so you do not have to return me the money ....that`s false cause EVERYONE pays 10 euros for the keys.

Few days later i noticed that i have to pay 20 euros for loosing the key. Great for you: you stole me 30 euros but the hostel gains a bad reputation only for you, hope you`ll be sacked soon.

Apart from my problem, the hostel is clean but bad located, far from the city center and the train station.....think twice to stay there, there are lots of hostels much more well located in Sevilla.

They're very nice, but don't stay here if you really need a good night's sleep. They serve a free dinner every evening, which is a plus, but the entire place echoes with the relentless loud chatter and music that, in theory, stops at 11. If you have an early bus, or you've been traveling all day, unless you can sleep through the apocalypse, you'll not get the rest you want. (They offered me earplugs. 🤨)

Excellent 2 days stay, comfy bed, a little noisy though after hours as our private room just opposite busy streets and restaurants. Centrally located. .Excellent staff and volunteers give good advice and ever ready to assist you. Good for solo traveler, male or female, seasoned traveler or first timer. Excellent choice if you are on shoe string budget. Free Flamenco show every Saturdays while we were there!
