This hotel is in the most perfect location. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Crisp white sheets and towels and room cleaned to a very high standard. This hotel has a gem of a roof terrace. There is pool on the roof but not open in January. The terrace was very usable in Jan due to the heaters and blankets! The view from the terrace is lovely, you look straight at the cathedral. It is open to the public also, so can get busy later at night. We didn’t opt for breakfast as we felt 17.50 euros for breakfast was a bit pricey! We made full use of the many places to eat surrounding the hotel.

The room itself was perfect. We had a twin room. We both had a double bed each which was lovely. The bed was comfortable although I think more pillow options are needed. If you have neck problems then I suggest you bring your own as the hotel one is quite flat and hard. There is a safe in the room and a fridge/mini bar. There is an espresso maker in the room but sadly no kettle. This was a bit frustrating for me as I don’t drink coffee! Would be worth taking your own travel kettle for the tea drinkers! The room was warm and cosy and we had a lovely view of the cathedral.
The only downside to such a central hotel is the noise from the street! So if you are a light sleeper I highly recommend you bring ear plugs!
Our bathroom was lovely and spacious we had a sink each and it was spotless. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom so you don’t need to take your own.

Stayed 4-8 May 2022. Location cannot be beaten. You walk out the door and the cathedral is right there. Never got tired of seeing it every day. All the tapas bars and little side streets are right round the corner along with The Alcazar. This also means you can book to be first in when these sites open. This was great for walking home after walking round all day and after eating and a few drinks at night. The roof top area is beautiful and spotless and great for a swim and relax after sightseeing or cocktails/coffee. Service was excellent and although drinks were pricier, they are hotel/cocktail bar price in Uk. They also do not skimp on the measures! You are also sat looking at the cathedral and La Giralda. It also had a great party atmosphere late at night. Our room looked into the inner courtyard. Some might call it dated I call it old school glamour. You are in an old palace building. It had everything you need. Bed was very comfy and it was nice to have somewhere quiet and cool to go back to after walking all day in the very hot sun. I do agree the breakfast room seems stuck away in a small downstairs room. After the grandeur of the rest of the hotel it is a bit unassuming. But it’s all clean and functional and although not a massive selection there is plenty to put together a decent breakfast. Maybe more choice on cereal and some sliced fresh fruit put out would be nice. We only paid about 10e each per day and this was worth it to save the hassle of wandering around first thing looking for somewhere to eat. Reception staff were lovely and always happy to help. They organised taxi back to airport tor us. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends.

This is an excellent hotel in a central location and easy walking distance to many places of interest. The rooms are comfortable and a reasonable size and very clean. The decor is an interesting mix of antique modern minimalism. The terrace bar is a lovely place to relax with views across the city and heaters in winter. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast has enough choice to please everyone, if I'm being really picky - the bacon was more like heated slices of ham and the scrambled eggs were lukewarm - but I can forgive them that for all the other good points about the hotel. We will book this hotel again when we return to Seville.

The only thing I can recommend about this hotel is that it is in the centre of Seville very near to the cathedral. The reception area is quite impressive but the attitude of the reception staff was unhelpful, unwelcoming and non communicative to the point of rudeness. I was travelling with my daughter and two grandchildren and had booked two double standard rooms . The rooms were very basic and somewhat tired looking and without the facilities as advertised on the website - Covid was the excuse we were given when questioning the lack of coffee making equipment. On pressing the matter we were grudgingly told that we could go to the swimming pool ( a large bathtub) area for a cup of coffee.
Fortunately we hadn’t booked breakfast at 12 euros a head as on the second day of our stay we told the children to take breakfast in the hotel while we went to take a pre flight Covid test. We quickly returned and found the children in a dismal looking interior room beginning breakfast - if they hadn’t done so on seeing what was available then we would have speedily departed. I have stayed in many hotels during my travels but can safely say that what was on offer here hit rock bottom. Coffee was out of a machine , the only food on view was toast, one or two types of small pastries, fruit juice , cereal and a few pieces of fresh fruit. We enquired about a cooked breakfast but were told that this would be at an extra cost!
This hotel purports to be 4 star but personally I would give it 2 stars at most.

Hotel is in a perfect location a 'stones throw' from the Cathedral and Royal Palace, and within walking distance of all the main attractions. It has a character all of it's own, and any minor negatives are far outweighed by positives. The Hotel also has a nice rooftop bar for late afternoon or evening drinks, and plenty of restaurants to eat in the surrounding area. Street facing rooms have best views, with some higher floor rooms having Juliet Balcony's. Street facing rooms can be a little noisey into the early hours of the morning if you need to leave a window open at night, as we needed to. Even in February it was very warm at night, and I'm not sure if the room aircon was faulty or centrally controlled with it being inoperative in the low season.

The location is just perfect... couldn’t be better. In front of the alcazar and cathedral. The view when out the hotel is amazing and on top the nearby streets are full of beautiful places to eat tapas - good for breakfast too. The hotel has also a nice bar in the roof where the view is breathtaking and the cocktails are very good ..... I tried one with sake and it was delicious and subtle. The only bad side is that the rooms are old, mattresses are very used and uncomfortable and the hotel was nosy because of the renovation inside. We were in the second floor in the inside rooms so no balcony and were very noisy. The personnel was nice though ....

Second visit to this lovely city. Spent 3 nights in this quirky hotel. Loved all the decor throughout, reception, lounge area and bedrooms. Hotel is located directly across from the beautiful cathedral. Most places of interest are within walking distance. Live Plaza Espan, not too busy in November. The horse and carriage rides were located outside cathedral. Cost €45 for around 30/40 minutes round the main attractions. Our horse Palermo was a beauty and we took photos of him. All the horses appeared to be well looked after.
All around are lovely buildings, lots o photo opportunities. We were room only but lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Costa Coffee is only 5minutes walk, good for breakfast coffee. If you are looking for shops there are lots spread throughout.Would definitely recommend and will return on future visits.

Very pleased with our choice of hotel in Seville, Hotel Dona Maria is a great hotel in a prime location at a reasonable price. Loved the decor and antiques and the information books in the room gave a good overview of the history of both the hotel and the Seville main attractions. The swimming pool and bar/terrcace overlooking the Cathedral was fabulous with a great selection of drinks, again at a reasonable price compared to the UK. Staff friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The room was clean and comfortable, only issue was the air conditioning was a it rattley but it didn't bother us too much! Loved Seville and would definitely come back here!

We stayed at Hotel Dona Maria Sevilla for 4 nights at the end of January. What a hotel! It's like a museum with beautiful antiques, and old furniture everywhere.

We had a superior room(you get city view), room 110 which is the room above the front door, so we have a balcony that looked directly at the Cathedral and Giralda. It was spotless, and all towels and bedding were monogrammed with the hotels name. Seemed VERY posh, but they made you feel you were very welcome. The reception staff were all really helpful, and always greeted you with a smile.

We did eat in their roof top bar, and the food was lovely, and their selection of drinks were vast. The only complaint we had was as the bar is open to all, anybody could visit. A couple of the bar staff tended to ignore us, and tended the locals more, especially with drinks. We watched one couple have a really lovely bottle of wine, but we weren't allowed that, we were only offered house?? But this shouldn't take away from the hotel itself, because it was amazing and we'll definitely stay again!!

The lobby is beautiful and spacious and the rooms are adequate. The roof top deck... Oh wow! The views are amazing and your so close to the cathedral you can almost reach out and touch it. There is also a roof top bar so you can enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset. This hotel is centrally located near the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, the Jewish quarter and many other attractions.
