Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is now one of our favorite places to stay!! Home away from home. A cozy feel in such a large place. From the moment we walked in , friendly staff welcomed us . We had a beautiful sea view room, ample size as we had a wheelchair too abd what a view. The lull of the water was so peaceful to sleep to, the comfort of the bed and pillows , fridge and terrific housekeeping made it such a pleasure. We enjoyed a delicious daily breakfast and also enjoyed a few meals/snacks at the bar. Location location. Location is the best. Right on the boardwalk. A 5 min walk into old Town and the surrounding town was so convenient. For Xmas time there were carolers which really put everyone in the mood. Every night, chocolates were provided and just that personal touch. We loved the Basque country and look forward to exploring more on a future trip. Hands down we will stay here at Hotel Londres. Thank you!!!

We stayed in the Mata Hari Suite, which could not have been more perfect. It was very large, with several well-appointed rooms. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the shower and jetted bath were lovely and the classic-style furniture gave the suite a touch of luxury. There were also four Juliet balconies on two sides (two overlooking the Bay of La Concha) – too small to sit on, but giving the suite lots of natural light and fresh air. I also once previously stayed in one of the more standard rooms, which was also very luxurious and comfortable. The location was perfect, directly across from the beach at the closest point to the old town (about one minute’s walk to the sand or ten minutes’ walk to the old town). The two best areas in town are the beach or the old town – stay here if you prefer the beach. The views over the water are unbeatable and unobstructed – beautiful even in inclement weather.

My experience at this hotel was far below expectations, especially considering the high cost per night. The room, though spacious, had a constant noise issue, and surprisingly, earplugs were provided as standard – a telling sign. The service was lackluster; the reception staff seemed distracted, and the concierge was barely visible. An incident with room service closing earlier than stated and a dismissive response from the staff was particularly frustrating. Despite complaints about the noise, no solution or room change was offered. On our last day, a miscommunication about breakfast times led to a rude encounter with a staff member. The hotel itself felt rundown, not matching its premium pricing. Overall, a disappointing stay not worth the expense.

Great location overlooking the beach. Walking distance from the marche. Great service by the helpful attendants. Spacious room and bathtub. Nice beds as well. Old style lifts make the hotel look unique. Highly recommended.

We spent a week here and enjoyed every minute. A sea view room , immaculate shower room, a breakfast that had everything and the most charming staff from cleaners to the reception and restaurant. Best location in town , fall out of bed onto the beach ! We ate a couple of nights in the restaurant and the menu was varied and good value for money, and of course the old town at night offers a wide variety of eating places and a brilliant atmosphere. Any downside, Not cheap by any means but we considered it very good value for money and anyone looking for a luxury break will be happy here! Will we return? Of course!

First of the all, the location is perfect to access the entire San Sebastian concha as well as Old Town and both hills for hiking. What else worked: Staff were attentive and helpful to call taxis and give information The room, while 'in fact smaller than average, was well appointed and we had two sets of windows What needs work: The city view is a massive construction site-we did know about this aspect of the City View but in person it is very large. The indoor hallways are very dark. You need to walk through the bar after being on the beach. The hotel does provide towels but no chairs or lounges or umbrellas. There is no coffee maker in the room The bed is particularly firm and makes squeaking noises every time you get in and out of bed

We flew into San Sebastian Airport and took a taxi to the hotel. 47 euros that included 2 tolls! There are cheaper ways to get here but it was late Saturday night. Once we arrived to the room, we were missing items like certain towels, no kleenex, etc. Got that taken care of and our vacation started. Great location for walking into old town. It's worth getting a sea/ocean view room. The rooms are smaller in size. There is construction going on the other side away from the sea view. The marble bathroom is very nice. The bed is very firm to the point that it's not comfortable at all. The pillows are terrible. I asked for a feather pillow and that didn't help. Other than that, I would stay here again with a sea view room.

The most amazing hotel in the most perfect location. Room was wonderful with the most fantastic view. Comfortable large bed, beautiful bathroom, spacious and so clean. Helpful staff. Parking at La Concha can be hard if you’ve a large car. Had an issue getting in and out, QR code didn’t work. If you do intend on stopping here, do book a sea view room. It never stops being breathtaking and well worth every penny.

The hotel has a fantastic view of the bay so it is well worth booking a room with a sea view. The room was comfortbale and clean. The airconditioning was not very effective and we were only able to get the room temperature reduced by one degree over a three night stay. The lighting in the room was possibly triggered by movement and seemed to have a life of its own. Good cocktails in the bar. Road works around the area made it a challenge to reach the hotel by car but there is nothing the hotel can do about that.
