Myself and my 7 year old son stayed in the junior suite for 4 nights in august during Semana Grande and we were delighted from the moment we arrived. Room 5 is a good size, it felt like a little studio apartment with a great bathroom and big, powerful shower. The room is on the corner of the street and...

My friend and I stayed here for 6 days. At first I was a little weirded out by the fact that it's a floor of a building - but I got over that really quick. The people that work there are lovely - it's ideally situated - the furnishings are lovely - the view is gorgeous - the bathroom is...

We have been staying here each year over the past 10 years for three or four days. Its very central, close to all the restaurants, old town, shopping and the beachs. Its true the walls are thin, there is some street noise, but its very reasonably priced, we paid 79E per night in June. They have over the past few...

No sound insulation between rooms and floors, yet ordinary levels of conversation were aggressively criticized and other guest's snoring became intolerable in the night. Very poor service. Unfriendly, discourteous staff- unwelcoming reception, was given a lecture about documentation on arrival. Unhelpful staff - refused access to microwave as night porter was sleeping and he was downright rude. Facilities incorrectly advertised-...

I stayed in an exceptionally cramped "triple room" - with about 1/2 foot between each bed and the walls. There weren't even bed side tables or enough space to open the cupboard doors - ridiculous for three adults. To add to our woes the walls are extremely thin and the bedroom doors slam each time they are shut. It's not...

Great location, smack in the middel between the center of town and the best surfing beach in Spain (two minute walk). One minute walk to the great Pintxos pubs of San Sebastian, and great shopping. If you walk for five minutes you get to the larger and stunning main beach. So if you like the location, this is the place...

Pension Aldamar is located on the board of Old Town and one block from the bridge and the beaches. An outstanding location. The Pension is quaint and clean. Totally adequate. We paid 70euro per night. The staff were so helpful and sweet. Highly recommend for a budget hotel.

I thought I would choose a hotel in the old part of San Sebastian as it's all pedestrianised. Unfortunately this hotel is just on the border of the pedestrianised area and it has a motorbike station right under its front windows. The traffic noise is unbearable. Shame as the pension itself is rather nice and conveniently located.
