Just spent an amazing long weekend at this hotel. Travelled from Ireland and stayed for 3 nights.

Access from airport couldnt be easier. A1 bus from airport stops 50m away from hotel door. A short walk to all the main attractions of Palma, along either the busy shopping streets or the quiet pedestrian friendly back streets.

Room was fantastic. Very clean, very comfortable. Great bed. Great shower. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Molton brown bathroom products were a nice additional touch. Very well soundproofed, no noise at night.

No problem checking in or out. Staff were so efficient and friendly and spoke perfect english (even trying to translate our irish accents), a great first impression to the hotel.

Restaurant was great. We had brekfast there each morning and had an evening meal on 1 night We got the tasting menu and it is really something special for dinner. Our waiter recommended it and he was so involved explaining all the different courses and what flavours we should expect. Breakfast every morning was perfect, plenty of all food and no rush. Setting is fab too with view of ocean and city panorama.

Rooftop terrace with loungers and infinity pool were an oasis of calm for us.

I would love to return to this hotel, we had a fantastic time and thank you to all the staff for making our stay so welcoming and perfect.

My partner and I spent 2 nights at this fantastic hotel located in the town center, due to my b'day celebration.
Since the moment you enter the establishment you feel more than welcome due to the reception staff!
Regarding the room... Amazing! We booked a suite with jacuzzi!
The hotel complies with all the covid measures and provides a small bag, with gloves, desinfectant and masks for your own use, in the room!!! An extra service, not expected at all!
We had breakfast booked, which took place at 'Cuit' restaurant, on the top floor, provided by a very warm welcoming staff. Breakfast is served at the table due to the new covid measurements(selection of bread, cheese, ham, pastries, yogurt, eggs, etc, served for each member, which is also good as food is not thrown away as in a buffet)
Definitely, we will come back, due to the location, the establishment, and mainly because of all the staff that makes your stay unique and special

I’ve been a regular at Nakar over the last couple of years but this was my first visit since lockdown.

Like the rest of the world, Spain continues to emerge from the global pandemic. The need to wear face masks in public, and some businesses still not fully operational, means that it’s a slightly different Palma than the one I left.

The staff at Nakar though have worked hard to make the hotel as safe and enjoyable as possible. Special distancing is implemented well, hand sanitiser is placed on each floor, QR codes replace paper menus, breakfast is served to you rather than buffet style and a small welcome pack of hand sanitiser/ masks etc is provided. In terms of safety I’ve no criticism, it’s difficult to imagine how they could have adapted better. As a place for rest and relaxation it’s as good as it always was. The view from the roof is stunning, the rooms are wonderful and the staff are always helpful and accommodating.

I had a lovely short break and hope to return as often and possible!

A very impressive hotel in a prime central location. As a member of Design Hotels, the Nakar is a modern and well kept hotel in the centre of Palma within walking distance of all of the city’s attractions.

Check in was very efficient and the staff very friendly and welcoming. I was quickly in my room which was a good size with solid modern furnishings. The bed was comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the main street. Despite the road being busy, the room was well insulated. A top class city hotel.

I was pleased to see Molton Brown products, and not in small bottles. A nice, green initiative from the hotel.

There is also a nice rooftop pool bar - the pool is far too small for a swim, but worth a dip to cool down in the summer. The view from the roof is stunning and worth seeing, whether it’s for a drink or a dip!

The one thing that stops me from giving the hotel full marks is the breakfast. It was disappointing. The staff were not attentive and just relied on people walking in and finding their way around. Setting tables was very slow and difficult to enquire about special dietary requirements. With a little more attention to detail, this can be a perfect property across the board.

Despite breakfast, I would still consider returning, as it was otherwise a very good stay.

We visited for a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was a good size, very clean with a fantastic shower. The room was quiet with the windows closed (great double glazing). My only criticism of the room was that there was no air conditioning - I found this out when I asked reception how to turn it down. I’m not sure if it just wasn’t working in the room or if it had none. We didn’t find it a problem as we just opened the window for a while, but in summer it might be a good idea to check first that you can have an an air-conditioned room.
The spa was lovely. The pool was warm and the low level of lighting made floating very relaxing. My husband enjoyed both the sauna and steam room. Towels and robes are provided there for you, with water also available.
The terrace views are fantastic, well worth taking some breakfast up there to enjoy.
The buffet breakfast was very good, lots of variety of cold items, pastries, delicious bread and also hot food if you want it.
The hotel is only a 10-15 minute stroll from the cathedral and harbour area.
We would happily return for another stay.

It was my 3rd or 4th stay at Nakar, sadly this time the 1st with Corona and I hate to see a great place like that suffering from this. Location is absolutely the best, so Central, just a walk from everything, the roof top terrace with its pool is spectacular, the restaurant, though closed at the moment, was always worth a visit with an amazing view and food just as good. Breakfast used to be a great buffet, now it is served, hot dishes served on order. I understand the reason behind it, but with the platter being served without questions, I‘d assume a lot goes to waste. We do not eat croissant or sweet pastry but every morning it was on the platter. Serving a Hummus toast is quite brave albeit it becoming increasingly popular. I do not have a solution as to how getting around not having a buffet, still meeting all taste buds and not hiring ten breakfast chefs and I am not implying, that it was not great, on the contrary, I had amazing omelettes etc, just concerned about food waste.
The Spa is tiny, now needs to be pre-booked or comes with a treatment at the Spa, Angel (sorry if that is not entirely correct) is absolutely amazing, my wife and I had a treatment with her, it is special, though in comparison to other places in Palma, that indeed is overpriced at €95 and €125 each. We are used to paying premium but it is, especially given the great value of the hotel, somewhat out of context. What has always been and still is the greatest asset of this hotel, is its staff. They are super friendly, professional and kind hearted. Roberto was great in organizing a last minute PCR test, the other girls at reception are amazing, the girls at breakfast are fabulous, Eardly is absolutely an asset to any company, so knowledgable, pleasant, kind and helpful and enthusiastic even in these challenging times. All in all, it is all thumbs up, we will be back again...!

I wanted to stay in a centrally located hotel with a rooftop pool close to both Santa Catalina / Old town and this hotel ticked all the boxes. A plus for courteous and helpful staff.
Breakfast buffet was not huge but there was both a continental and an english version so everyone should be able to find something to their taste.
Since the airport bus stop was 3-4 minutes of walk from the hotel I skipped the cab ride and was pleasantly surprised how smoothly I got to the airport.

The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful, rooms were very spacious and comfy, during the night it was very quiet with comfortable beds. The spa was amazing. The only thing that was little bit disappointing was the breakfast (not by fault of the hotel.) Due to our visit during Covid pandemic, the breakfast couldnt be in the buffet style and we got a specific plate with different things. For me as a vegetarian and my boyfriend who eats a lot, it was a bit limited, but the personal tried to accommodate our needs as much as possible. On the rooftop there is an amazing swimming pool with a beautiful view on the cathedral but because it is not heated we couldnt use it. That's a pity because in the summer it must be perfect when the rooftop bar is opened as well. As it was my birthday trip, the hotel gave me a bottle of cava as a compliment and I would like to thank them a lot for that. We will definitely come back after this situation is over and we will be able to enjoy all the facilities.

First, the positive - hotel is very nice. The rooftop is fantastic even if you can't use the pool in the winter. The spa downstairs is nice as well. Food is overpriced, but decent. But there are tons a of great restaurants within a 10 min walk. The staff are very nice and were quick to remedy a fallen piece of ceiling (on my wife) in the hotel bathroom.

We had the room with the hot tub, which was also very nice for winter and, frankly, a surprising find in Europe. We very much enjoyed the hot tub while it was cool out. Our room however, was very small. Much smaller than other hot tub rooms, yet the same price. The pictures online were deceiving as we got to our room and realized it's about 30% smaller than the online photos. They should really be charging less for this room in particular. It was cramped and not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel.

Also, for a hotel that has two pools, is close to the beach (and for a room with a hot tub), the hotel should really make some low-cost investments in more hooks for towels, bathing suits, etc. And the shower ran water all over the bathroom floor. Our towels and suits were wet the whole stay with only 2 hooks for two people. Also, random and not under the hotel's control (to an extent), but the room next to us was smoking weed multiple times per day to the point you could smell it outside the room in the hall, too, yet they were allowed to stay and keep keeping on.

Overall, I'd stay here again, but not in the same room. We had a good stay, but not as good as expected.

Stayed for 4 days. Hotel was nice, clean and morden with very friendly staff. It was a birthday trip and so hotel had complementary champagne waiting in the room on arrival. Breakfast didn't have much range but was still decent and had an omelette station. The best thing about breakfast was that it shut at 11am and champagne was available.

Location was great. It's walking distance to the bay, town shops and cathedral and the city is very pretty and beautiful. The have a trendy rooftop bar which was perfect for sundown drinks and beautiful city views over the infinity pool. We were never disturbed to clean the room. They probably had a smart sensor that knew when we were out the room and cleaned it in our absence regardless of when we left the room in the day

I do have a few minor reservations however. The first being that it has no gym or workout room. The second was the quality of food and drinks at the roof top bar isn't great. The cocktails are premade and watered down and the food is very limited and bland. The third issue was my biggest. I'm a light sleeper who often needs the rest room at night. The ensuite toilet light is too bright and can't be controlled manually. It is controlled by a sensor when you walk in. After a few interrupted nights when the light kept me up, when I waloke up in the middle of the night again to use it, I seriously had to contemplate if it's worth having the light district my sleep or if it's better to try hold my urge and sleep with it. In the end, I ended up using the shower for the rest of my stay at night and hosing it down afterwards. I understand the thought process of trying to save energy with the lights but there should either be a dim mode for night use or manual control

Outside of that it's a great hotel

You will need to ask the hotel itself, of course. Much will depend on whether borders are re-opened by then.
