My first impression wasn’t that great - whether it was because there were several other guests checking in at the same time, but it wasn’t quite clear where my room was. After a few minutes, lugging a big suitcase around, I found it on the 2nd floor and hoisted up the very heavy case. There my grumpiness ended.

The studio apartments are lovely and light. They’ve got high ceilings and windows and balconies on both sides of the building, with great if differing views on either side. There’s also sun loungers, chairs and a table for you to sit out on if you want more privacy . Having read previous reviews, I found the bed was really comfy with lots of soft pillows to choose from.

The cleaners pop in and change towels every couple of days and make the beds. Shampoos and soaps were not replenished but not sure if I was meant to ask for this.

The hotel and Cala’n Bosch in general feel like very safe places to be. No- one hassled you at the beaches or in any tourist areas . In the room, there is a key provided for the safe to keep your valuables in

I didn’t spend much time enjoying the hotel though the gardens with hibiscus and lemon trees were a delight and the pool looked immaculate. Whilst there are many sun loungers round the pool, some are cracked and need replacing.

Club Ciudadela was a great base to explore Menorca and the bus network is very good. The nearby beaches are also lovely and easily accessible. As is the marina and lighthouse.

Breakfast is good and the people very friendly. Didn’t see many people at breakfast and suspect many were self catering. It was so peaceful and quiet.

The wifi is very intermittent and it was necessary to log in several times a day. Also, if you are looking for English TV channels these did not appear to work very well. I reported this to the hotel and a technician was supposed to check. It didn’t bother me much as had books to read but for hardcore telly addicts that might be hard.

These were just minor niggles and I enjoyed my stay immensely and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you to Club Ciudadela for such a great stay.

This Hotel/Apartments is a perfect place for a relaxing and quiet holiday, the hotel itself offers a great size of accommodation, the apartment is large and well appointed and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming, also around the pool area is kept clean & tidy by a team of friendly staff.
Great location 5 minutes from supermarket 10 minutes from beach.
You could paid more for other hotels/apartments in this area but I don't think you'll get any better service than the great staff and owners that are happy to have a chat and coffee.
So I would happily recommend Club Ciudadela for holiday stay

P.S My wife and myself are staying here at the moment last night there was a big storm so all staff were out first thing this morning clearing up and having breakfast ready ....

This place was lovely, setting was fantastic and quiet handy things to do beach is about a 5 minute walk and marina about 6 minutes. Apartments are basic and simple but you don’t really use them much because you’re in the pool or adventuring out and about. The Wi-Fi is not fantastic asks you to sign in all the time which is quite annoying. At Cala n’ Bosch is the choice of 2 beaches. Everything was nice supermarket about a 1 minute walk from the apartments. The bathroom gets very slippy when it gets wet and the toilets are hard to flush as this attempt may take a few times to flush. Apart from that I really enjoyed this apartment and will be definitely back.😊😊

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Club Ciudadela! The location is great, at the end of a quiet street so no noisy traffic. The apartments either look out towards the pool or open countryside, or if you're lucky, both! The apartments and studios are spacious, comfortable and clean. We stayed on a self catering basis and had everything we needed. All the staff we came across were extremely friendly and helpful. We have already booked for next year and can't wait to go back!

Having booked for a week at Club Ciutadella, we were having such a good time that we extended our holiday for an additional 4 days while we were there.
The apartments are bright, airy and very big.
The pool area and gardens are wonderful.
Located in a peaceful part of the resort, these apartments create a peaceful and relaxing feel.
We stayed in apartment 36 on the first floor, with lovely views of the pool and gardens.
The beaches, marina and supermarkets are all just a short stroll away.
We are returning in May.
Excellent holiday.

Stayed here September 2013. Apartment was on first floor, large balcony overlooking secluded shrub land, silence was deafening! Rooms very light and bright, loads of floor space for young children to to toddle around. Very well stocked kitchen, every utensil possible.

The level of cleanliness first class. Water always hot, bathroom a bit tired but everything functioned!

Pool small but adequate ,plenty of sun beds.

Close to the centre of Cal'n Bosch. Ideal for a family on a budget with small children or anyone wanting quiet relaxation. No kids clubs or entertainment so not ideal once they have passed making sand castles and splashing in pool stage! Best for those wanting an old fashioned type of holiday.

Cal'n Bosch full of slot machines, tacky type restaurants, found it disappointing. Maybe time of year but sea out of bounds due to infestation of jelly fish. Jaded resort disappointed.

We spent a week here beginning of July. We travelled with my parents who are in there eighties and not very mobile. To start with the resort of cal'n Bosch we all really liked it loads of places to eat and all the meals we had were of a good quality. Two good beaches within 15 minutes slow walk. Onto the accommodation on the whole it was good value. We paid £168 per person ( with travel republic) the apartments were large and kept clean, however they are looking a little tired. Our room no.33 was not a pool view but we enjoyed the privacy and our Aspect meant we had the late afternoon sun on our patio. The mix of other holiday makers was very cosmopolitan English, Scandinavian, German, French, Spanish & Russian. But we were all there for on reason to relax and if that's what you want I recommend this complex to you. We went entirely self catered and it was easy because of the vast range of well stocked supermarkets. The complex did provide bfast or h board. We had lunch once and were not impressed. In conclusion if you want a cheap week away in a reasonable complex then this is the one.

Delightful family run establishment with a large pool and clean, well-lit apartments. We have returned several times and loved our stay in Club. Staff are brilliant. They also own a watersports business, Surf & Sail Menorca, down at Son Xouriguer beach which I and my brother have both learnt how to windsurf through a series of lessons. I understand they also offer Hobie Cat hire, Paddle boarding, Kayaking and boat rental.

Stayed here for a week in September 2018. The one bedroom apartment was large and bright and furnished with two functional sofas. Large kitchen area with breakfast bar and an adequate supply of utensils. The instructions for the hob were in many languages but not English. Our first attempts to use it were frustrating but we got there in the end.
Nothing is provided in the kitchen. No welcome pack, no cleaning or dish washing liquid/sponges etc. Be prepared to pay a visit to the supermarket or bring things with you.
Our bathroom was a bit dated but in reasonable condition. Have not seen a bidet for years and as a Brit and Scottish to boot I have an innate fear of bidets. Also showers over baths do not inspire confidence in older people. We did not experience the water temperature fluctuations mentioned by previous reviewers.
The gardens and pool area very attractive. Also very clean. There is an area of the pool fenced off for children.
Downside was the very firm mattresses.
Unusually for the area it rained while we were there. The balconies on the first and second floors are open to the elements so we were constantly drying the chairs so we could sit outside. Not a problem in summer.
Half of the sunbeds by the (excellent) pool now have adjustable backs and are much sought after so you have to be fast to get one.
The complex itself is quiet but the neighbouring hotels have loud entertainment which is intrusive especially in the evening.
Wifi and phone signal only at reception area. A blessed relief!
The area is very geared to the holiday market which may not appeal to everyone. Lots of restaurants by the marina. Plenty of reviews for these on this site. It is worth reading them before you come. There is even a Burger King and a Chinese. Our favourite was Restaurant Laume. Prices are similar to the UK.
We ate at Club Ciudadela twice. The food is variable. Burgers and omelette a safe choice.
We booked the holiday through Easyjet and were disappointed that the transfer bus dumped us on the main road so we had to walk the last 200 yards to the complex. The Tui buses dropped at reception. You have been warned.

Positives: Clean apartment, Good location, Well maintained nice gardens.
Negatives:Tired/Unacceptable accomodation. Corroded taps and shower, scalding water then no hot water at all. No toaster ( or any of the kitchen equipment shown in the review photos) and unpredictable oven/grill. Booked hastily on the basis of the recent good reviews(?). Somewhat troubled by the information. Paid £150 per night for 1 bed accomodation for poor uncomfortable conditions no air con sleeping on a foam sofa in the heat. Please note NO air comes through the shutters when the windows are open at night as there is NO breeze at all. Lack of air con/ lack of sleep and other issues spoilt holiday. Cituadella charming and more up market, Cala n Bosch slightly tacky, nice from a distance. Have been much nicer places for the money. Wouldnt go back. All in all - an Expensive mistake.
