20161106jbTrip GC TRIPADVISOR FIVE DAY TRIP TO GRAN CANARIE This was our first visit to Gran Canaries and again it was thanks to Ryanair and their cost efficient model for air travel in Europe. With the early start from Bristol the four hour trip was easier than usual because the islands are on the same time zone as the UK.... More

On the negative: to go to the bedroom the lift breaks, in the bedroom lights not working, mattresses have a topper to that doesn't manage to hide how bad they are, the windows were very dirty, noisy rusty old fridge, bad wifi and mobile reception, worn out deco had to... Few steps from beach and ocean. Please ask for rooms with ocean view (at night quite noisy, but still better than rooms with view on next building). Helpful staff. No air condition - when it is hot outside it is hard and not comfortable in hotel rooms, Good wifi - works in rooms.

Stayed at the Faycan for 8 nights @£30pn, booked through Travel Republic. It is a 3-star budget hotel with rooms on 7 floors; there is a large lounge area on the ground floor (with vending machines, but no bar) and a roof terrace solarium. On first impressions, it looks rather dated, but the hotel reception is efficient & friendly and... More

We arrived at night when nothing looks too good but I walked into the reception and wasn't blown away. We were greeted with a warm welcome but there isn't a bar or anywhere relaxing to chill, only a couple of chairs scattered. Our room wasn't much better. It was clean but looked dated and beside the bed was the small... More

This hotel did not come up to our expectations. The pictures in hotels web pages look much better than the actual reality was. Maybe they are taken many, many years ago? In our opinion this hotel does not deserve three stars. (compared to hotel Astoria in same town where we spent three nights in the start of our 14-day Canary... More

Thank you very much for your review. It´s not usual that rooms facing inside, like yours, are noisy. Maybe you had noisy neighbours during your stay. We recommend our guests to speak to reception if someone disturbs their rest. About breakfast, we offer a cold buffet and we think it´s good enough for a three stars hotel. Anyway, we try... More
