With its personable staff, location, comprehensive breakfast and rooftop bar, the pristine Lancelot represents tremendous value, particularly if you have a seafront balcony room. We arrived after a five minute walk from the nearest stop at the Intercambiador bus station, which serves the airport and other points around the island. Note this is not Arrecife's main bus station, which is some distance to the north. Either side of the hotel there are numerous bars and restaurants. Our favourite eatery, a couple of minutes to the right, is the keenly priced Italian Amore Mio. Further afield, a must visit locale is the lagoon..Charco De San Gines, with numerous bar/restaurants on the waterside If you fancy a drink with a view, visit the Gran Hotel ( the only "skyscraper" on Lanzarote) a couple of minutes from the Lancelot and take the lift to its rooftop bar. It's also worth noting that Arrecife is situated along the longest promenade in the world, with a cycle path running 23 km from Costa Teguise in the north down to Puerto Del Carmen. The only downside to staying in Arrecife is that below the high tide mark the sandy beach gives way to rock. And the hotel's rooftop pool, although exquisitely laid out, is neither heated nor covered overnight. Nevertheless, the city is well worth a visit, a springboard for visiting the rest of the island and is certainly cheaper. Finally, do use the buses. They're tremendous value, particularly if you buy a re-loadable pass when you first board.

We were a group of four 60+ year olds that stayed at this hotel for one week from 2nd March 2000.

On the whole I agree with most of the other reviews about the hotel , yes it is kept very clean, yes it is in a good position (pay extra for front sea view) , Breakfast was plentyful although the hot items were at best luke warm and undercooked (you could eat the scrambled eggs through a straw) but there was lots of other choices cooked meats pastries etc. Staff were helpful when needed (special mention to Pepe Inthe Pool/snack bar who always was happy and very efficent.
The problem we found with the Lancelot is the atmosphere, it has absolutely none,
you would probably get more atmosphere in a funeral parlour.
The opening times for the Pool snack/bar were advertised Until 8pm but it closed at
4pm the restaurant bar closed at 10 pm. As mentioned above we are all 60plus we are not alcholics but a seafront three star hotel that closes down at 10 pm apart from ONE person on the reception desk .this quiet frankly is just bad, the only drinks and snacks available are in a vending machine.
Im sure any younger people visiting this hotel will be very disappointed.
Would I return NO.

I cannot believe this hotel is only a 3* - it really deserves to be a higher grade than this. It is in a beautiful position opposite the Reducto beach which, contrary to a previous review, was spotlessly clean and well attended. The beach was thoroughly cleaned with a tractor etc at least once in our one week visit.
The staff in the hotel were polite, courteous and helpful. I had a few queries before our visit and Alexis responded to my emails quickly and efficiently. Our bedroom was spacious with a wonderful seaview - the bathroom was large with the advantage of both a bath and shower. A small fridge in the room kept our water cold and the safe was a godsend for a small charge of €5. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the room was kept beautifully clean all week by the cleaners. In fact the standard of cleaning throughout the hotel was the best I've ever seen - well done the cleaning team!!
Breakfast offered a good choice every day of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, eggs, bacon etc.. again, I completely disagree with a previous reviewer, the scrambled eggs were delicious! We didn't eat in the hotel as there were so many other places we wanted to explore but I imagine the food to be good.
The pool area, described previously as small and windy, actually was completely adequate for a quick dip.
I'm not sure if the hotel was full, but it certainly felt light and airy. I wouldn't hesitate to return here, I can't praise the hotel staff and the lovely hotel enough. Wonderful stay. Thankyou.

You won't regret booking a stay at this hotel, it is an excellent choice. Friendly efficient staff, satisfying breakfast, high standards of cleanliness and perfectly located in the heart of Arrecife. Also, there were some pleasing additional facilities - a safe (small fee payable), a fridge, a kettle and towels for the swimming pool. We were so glad that we decided to pay slightly extra for a south facing room and we made good use of its sunny, sheltered balcony overlook the beach. The pool is located on the rooftop. This area is beautifully laid out and it looks amazing! A lot of care and money must have been spent on the design and furnishing, so why was the pool unheated? During our stay we didn't see anyone go in for a dip. On our last day, I braved the cold and jumped in, I managed to stay in for about ten minutes but had to go down straightaway for a hot shower! If the pool was warm, the whole poolside area would be a magnet for guests and they would be tempted to use the snack bar, which seemed to be very underused during our stay. This hotel would then be the best hotel in Arrecife!

I was with a walking group. The rooms on the side were a little noisy. The front sea facing rooms all had balconys and cost extra. My room had a balcony and no view but was quiet which suited me.
The room was well designed with fridge and safe at a small charge. The bed was very comfortable. There were spare pillows and blankets.
The breakfast buffet was very good and included fresh fruit, different breads, cold hams and cheeses and hot food. The evening buffet included a lovely salad, fish, meat and a vegetarian dish. There were lots of sweet things on offer.
The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Across the road is the beach, Playa del Reducto with a broad stretch of white sand.

The staff at this hotel are incredible. We arrived and our tour operator had messed up our booking , staff allowed us to check in to a fantastic sea view room and provided 2 days grace to sort out the issue.
The following morning Lanzarote was locked down and the hotels communication was 2nd to none; they put all guests at ease and provided on going updates and advice. The cleaning staff are very thorough and friendly also.
Despite the circumstances we felt safe and informed.
I am very well travelled and can honestly say I have never before experienced such a high level of customer service in any hotel I have frequented.
All aspects of this hotel provide great value for money and I highly recommend it.

Recently returned from our 2nd visit and found things were even better. We received the same great service throughout our stay and staff were friendly, professional and always willing to go the extra mile. We were pleasantly surprised by recent upgrades to some of the public areas; the buffet restaurant has a new fresh look and is bright, clean and welcoming. Great choices as always at breakfast, something to suit all tastes and plenty of options for hot or cold drinks. We love the location of this hotel, right on the seafront and definitely worth the extra charge for a beach view. Good access to the main shopping areas, restaurants and places of interest in the city. Buses to areas such as Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca are just a 10 minute walk along the promenade and a 20 minute walk will take you to the main bus station for travel to all points on the island. Would recommend a stay here and will definitely be back.

I spent a week 5* all inclusive before arriving, so was expecting the worst comparatively. What a pleasant suprise. The rooms are ample size, clean and comfortable with (if you pay for seaview) fabulous views. The rooftop pool (for a dip not a swim) is also a great addition, but you'll spend more time on the beach. The beach on arrival if tide is out may be disappointing (rocky) but when tide is in you can walk in on the white sands and swim over the rocks, it's a lovely clean beach and nice to swim in. Nearby restaurants and cafes offer good value. Only downside is particularly poor quality breakfast, better book without and grab nearby as only 3-4 euro. Will be keeping an eye out for deals to escape to in the winter as this is the perfect away break (noting I was working during the day from my balcony, great WiFi).

We had a lovely week staying here. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is generally light and airy with ample space to sit and relax. It is very well located there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
We booked a sea view room and definitely worth the little extra. The room itself was spacious, exceptionally clean, bright and very comfortable beds. The bathroom is nice with a large walk in shower. The room has a safe which is free to use along with a fridge with enough room for a few beers and a bottle of wine, there wasn't a kettle, but we asked at reception and they were happy to supply one, I believe there is a free vending machine in the reception area for tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The swimming pool is not enormous, but enough for a cool dip, there are a few sunbeds and you can borrow towels for a 10€ deposit.
We only had breakfast which was all good, There is a good selection of bread, rolls and pastries, Jam, honey and chocolate spread, a few cereals, fruit juice, tea and coffee a good selection of milk variations, oat almond etc. Cold meats, cheese and salad. Hot cooked breakfast, which changed each day, most days bacon and sausages. varying days fried eggs, scrammbled eggs, beans, hash browns, cordon bleu, Spanish omelette, churrios and a couple of things I'm not sure what they were but tasted nice! There is also a gluten free stand and a fresh fruit stand with yogurt and had pancakes most days.
This Hotel is only a 3*, but is equal to many 4* Hotels in Spain, the only difference is not so many toiletries.
We will definitely return here!

This hotel has to have the best location on the island of Lanzarote!! We have always enjoyed our stay here but this time everything seems to have improved from 4 star accommodation to 5 star.
The hotel is across the road from the beautiful sandy beach, the city is on one side and the main bus station is closeby on the other side of the hotel.
The staff are as always very friendly and efficient and the hotel is well maintained and spotless.
We had a large seaview room with a sunny balcony which has been recently modernised. Great wifi, and a lovely large comfortable
room.
We enjoyed lovely tasty breakfasts, even nicer lunches and delicious dinners all served by the friendly diningroom staff.
Thank you to all the management and staff in Hotel Lancelot
Will we be back again.....DEFINITELY!!
