So I stayed 3 nights here. Junior suite with sea view. I really enjoyed the stay. The bathroom was newly redone it seems, and very well cleaned. I say this as the bedroom was a bit outdated in furniture, but that for me didn't take away any of the enjoyment of the stay. Great view of the ocean and in quite a popular spot, as there were weddings and functions on Friday and Saturday. Good buzz, and great location if you want to be by the sea. The town is a 5 minute taxi drive costing around 5 euro. Quick speedy no fuss with taxis, as taxi rank is about 30 steps away. Staff were friendly in reception and that was very helpful, as there are not alot of English speakers around. They were very accommodating. I would like to add the food was average. Nothing special about the food, not alot of effort put in, but for me there is plenty around to eat, and it is all culturally and locally based. The breakfast was sub standard. Not worth it. Room service ends 10.30. And waiting staff seemed a bit uncomfortable, or a bit not interested. But not particularly anything that stands out. Clean, good views, bedroom outdated, bathroom well above standard, food is a no-go. So I give it 4 stars just because I had a really great time heading back to the hotel after visiting attractions and walks around the whole area.

Actually I want to talk about the restaurant, which we always go to during our stays in Santander. We like its menu, with quality products, well-crafted , well served in good tableware, cutlery and glassware. For 27 euros this time we had beans with octopus and prawns, Calabrian machote suprema and homemade cheesecake and lemon cream. With white wine DOC Wheel. It includes coffee. Of course excellent care from the staff. Weekdays and low season I don't think it's a problem, maybe on weekends and holidays it's advisable to book. As always, we will repeat on our next visit to Santander.

Nice hotel very close to Playa Sardinero. Very elegant on the outside, spacious and clean rooms, slightly dated. Price very variable based on seasonality. Parking is also available, in the surrounding area it is possible to find it in low season

Very quiet, and clean with a comfortable bed, but otherwise a tired, dated and slightly depressing hotel. In the middle of August we were charged an absolute fortune which raised our expectations beyond what this dated hotel with its air of faded grandeur could offer, with its ugly old fashioned furniture, stained carpets & musty smells....
Bathroom was fine but nothing special. Our view from the window of the derelict hotel next door and some dead plants on the patio wasn't great. Not a bad place to stay but make sure you get it for a decent rate.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. From the moment we checked in every member of staff were really friendly. The rooms were cleaned and beds made when we returned from our day's out. While we were there there was work going on in the Casino next door but we were never disturbed by any sound. Would definitely recommend staying here

Located across the road from the Sardinero Beach was the saving grace. Staff were not very responsive to requests and dining staff a little surly. Rooms well appointed and serviced but noise from adjoining rooms carried. View from room not very appealing.

The hotel is an imposing building right next to the Casino and opposite Sardinero beach. Check in was quick and easy and the room spacious , comfortable and well equipped. Bathroom was large, clean with all conveniences. Decent view from our window. What lets things down is the public areas which the hotel do not seem interested in, there are a few tables outside at the front, no attempt at any kind of garden, just flags. There is no where inside to have a relaxing drink. The food was inexpensive and OK, nothing to get excited about. Definitely could do better.

This was an unplanned stay for one night so overall it was fine. Easy check in and out, good location for the promenade. Spacious room and bathroom. I asked for a room in a quiet part of the hotel. I was woken by doors slamming endlessly, cleaner next door. Thin walls! Also there is building works next door. I didn't eat there. Plenty of places around. Sardinero Beach was beautiful.

Upmarket, traditional spanish hotel with marble floors and hard wood everywhere. Perfectly positioned for the beach and strolling along the promenade. Rooms big and spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and especially helpful at the front desk.Food was excellent and I could not fault the hotel at all. Thoroughly recommended.
