Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is wonderful and a very good value for the price. The staff is very professional and friendly. Housekeeping was top notch. The food was also great, both at the breakfast and in the Bar/Cafeteria. Easy to get to by car and plenty of taxis on standby when needed as well as the city bus. The views are spectacular, and the beach is great for walking.

Great location just across the beautiful Safdinero beach. Quiet rooms with excellent sea view. Great parking in hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast nice but lacks something special. Easy to get to the center by bus

The hotel is well maintained, has a good location across the beach, valet parking, and a nice view from our balcony of the beach. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable . There are several restaurants within walking distance. However, it is a taxi ride from the more popular and tourist areas and promenade of Santander. We stayed there 2 nights. Before arriving in Santander we visited the city of Llanes, where we had a wonderful lunch in a small cozy tavern.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. We had a Seaview room and the view was fantastic. Room was spotlessly clean, large, plenty of toiletries and air conditioning. Staff were extremely friendly, polite and efficient. We ate in the restaurant/cafeteria and food was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting friends in the area. We had a room with a terrace with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful Sardinero beach and the views were fantastic. The rooms are lovely, very comfortable large bed , excellent shower, loads of wardrobe space , a safe and a small fridge with bottled water than was replenished daily. The tv doesn’t have many English channels and there was no tea or coffee making facilities , these would have been an added bonus . There is a cafe/ bar and a lovely outside terrace where we had a lunch a couple of days, this was very good and the all the staff at the hotel are very lovely and extremely helpful . The coffee was excellent at this hotel, I would go back just for that and the wine, it’s so cheap compared to the uk. We didn’t eat in the main restaurant as we didn’t fancy the menus that we saw but we were out a lot with our friends. The breakfast was certainly adequate, a choice of cereals, excellent orange juice, lots of breads, jams, fruit, yoghurt and also meat and cheese and very delicious cakes. The only negative is that we like eggs for breakfast and they precook them and leave them under a hot plate, one day they were good as they had just brought them out but often they were cold and not particularly enjoyable . All in all a lovely hotel, great access to the beautiful beach and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. It’s about a half hour walk to the very centre of Santander but we got the bus a few times which is an excellent service , they stop right outside the hotel and run frequently , are very clean and cheap. Both the no2 and no4 go to the centre. We would definitely stay here again.

They can be placed on the best Sardinero location, in front of the beach, surrounded by nice bars and restaurants and amazing stroll in the front sea line. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable with nice bathroom full of toiletries. They leave complimentary mineral water in the fridge and the buffet breakfast has anything you like; continental, local and all freshly cooked. The staff is nice and always willing to help. Just a warning regarding the wifi service if you need to work in the room with a laptop as it’s not reliable, slow for video conferences and sometimes with issues to get connected.

Fabulous position over looking the sea, very nice area with a number of bars and restaurants. Beautiful looking hotel, very grand. We had a small suite which was awesome as my American friends would say. Very clean, well appointed, lovely big bathroom and great value for money.

Well where do I start? It looks resplendent from the outside and we were looking forward to a characterful and pleasant stay. Firstly there was a massive bus blocking our entrance to the hotel loading bags onto it - presumably a tourist party - but the driver and representative of the hotel refused to move it 2 feet so we could get past . Oh well never mind I thought. Got into the hotel and oh no it is not beautifully restored as on website - it is completely gutted and now a horrid soulless minimalist elephant of a place! So to our room with terrace - absolutely awful - hard uncomfy bed , no coffee machine and generally miserable place to be . The minibar was not stocked! The terrace and view were it's only redeeming features. Not even a porter to help an ancient disabled man like me. I love to make good reviews and we stayed in some fabulous and cheaper hotels in Pays Basque but this place is a horror

Beautiful hotel on the sea front. Clean and smart Managed to have a room top floor with balcony. Beautiful for a view of the sunrise first thing in the morning. Had the set menu for dinner first evening. At 22euros very good value, i had tagliatelle, then the sirloin stir fry followed by lemon mousse. This included bread, water a bottle of wine between 2 of us and coffee.

Very good hotel, highly recomendable. Totally new but with the air of the old fashion buildings in Santander. Excellent views. The service is excellent and the rooms great. Excellent balance quality-price. Meals are good and breakfast enough for starting a good day.
