We loved our stay at this beautiful little gem of a hotel so centrally located in a quiet little plaza of Toledo. Its design is stylish yet cosy, with a very nice lobby/bar space. We had a super nice, spacious and elegant room on the first floor with big windows and a small balcony to the square, a very comfy king bed, couch, closet, table, desk etc. A coffeemaker was also provided but no kettle and water only at arrival. Internet worked well. The bathroom was spacious with two sinks and a bath tub, and a separate toilet and bidet, good blow dryer and nice toiletries included. Our only complaint was that the bathroom was pretty cold. The room was very quiet and just really inviting. We also used the spa - a very beautiful intimate space built into old walls (comprising a steam room, sauna, 2 thermal beds and a warm pool) with a relaxing atmosphere (candlelight and music) and enjoyed an excellent massage. The staff there was welcoming and professional and prices are reasonable. If you come by car, make sure it’s a small car and remember to park the car first at the Parking San Tomé to avoid doing another loop (18€/night). The only downside was that we had to wait for about 30 mins for our dinner in the restaurant on our last night (it was tasty once it arrived), so better have drinks there and go out for dinner. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

We had a nice stay at this beautiful hotel. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. Great bed with luxurious linens and pillows. The location is very convenient and has a number of good restaurants nearby. The only thing missing was no free breakfast included, which is standard in most hotels of this caliber in Spain. Up the street on the corner is a place that has a variety of breakfast items and good coffee (including English/American style :).

Front desk staff was very helpful and provided good restaurant recommendations.

If you have a car, parking is available in a paid garage just a little ways up the street but be sure to get the name and precise location from the hotel before arriving. The garage is just before the turnoff for the hotel, the street is a one way road, and the loop back is a long and convoluted one!

The property is well located I gather but as with most ‘five star’ hotels in Spain only the front desk staff speaks English. The breakfast choice was horrible even for a person like me who only eats fruits for breakfast. There were only six tables but the breakfast staff just hang around talking and don’t help with anything proclaiming it’s ‘self service’. My room was facing the street but it’s a dead end street so it’s supposed to be quiet but the people were talking so loudly outside that it’s very nosy even at 1.30 am but the front desk staff were nice enough to go outside and resolved the problem. This I do appreciate. I’m so glad I brought my own pillow because they only have foam pillows no feather down as with again most self proclaimed five star hotels in Spain. The food and drinks at the bar are horrible. I ordered a vegetable sandwich but it’s with tuna in it. It was disgusting. I’m glad I’m only staying one night.

This hotel is well placed in the centre of Toledo, within walking distance of most attractions. It is elegant and historical. We used suite night awards to upgrade our stay and the room was large and impressive. However, we were very concerned with the standards of cleanliness at this hotel, particularly given the global pandemic and Marriott's commitment to a 'commitment to a new level of clean'. We raised a complaint on the first day about a glass in the room, which could best be described as having a residue of dried toothpaste water stuck at the bottom. The reception staff were apologetic, but we had expected increased care to be taken in cleaning our room on the following day. However, after our room had been refreshed on the second day, I noticed that the glass used on our first day also had a similar problem with dried toothpaste. The beverage had not dissolved the ‘toothpaste residue’, which says something about how long standing this problem was. I raised this with reception and the very pleasant duty manger told me that she would adjust the room rate and I suggested that she might also return the 2 suite night awards. When we checked out, the bill was reduced by 38 Euros and the suite nights subsequently returned. I did not feel that the reduction was adequate.
Additionally, at breakfast there were splashes of dried white liquid on the wall, crumbs on the rail and dried yogurt dripped on the edge of the table. Given our earlier experience, we sat at the same breakfast table on the following day to see if this had been rectified by the following morning. It had not. Using a damp napkin, I was able to easily wash it off.
On our return to Toledo the following month, we stayed at the AC hotel.

We had to cut our stay short but the hotel staff tried to tell us that we had to pay for the full length of the reservation that made on a flexible rate, even though this is not typical for hotels.
The lobby is not welcoming. The bar is not staffed and the music in the bar/lobby is obnoxious.
The a/c in the room was very loud and there was no sound-proofing. The bathroom was not properly clean. The safe stopped working with our money and passports in it. It took forever for them to fix it.
We cannot recommend this hotel and would never return.

My mother and I stayed at Eugenia de Montijo as part of a mother-daughter getaway. We had a great time! The staff was friendly and approachable. Language barriers were not an issue except with the bartenders. We really enjoyed hanging out in the bar area on the comfy chairs and couches.

We made an appointment a couple days ahead of time with the spa, and could not say enough good things about the spa services. The service is very private and 1:1 because the spa is not open all day. Services are only available by appointment. This means that when I booked the circuito hidrotermal, I was the only person in there using the pools and Turkish bath. It was absolutely lovely as compared to places like Aire de Sevilla where you're mixed in with dozens of other people. I particularly enjoyed the camas termales. Furthermore, the massage was absolutely amazing! My mother and I both loved our treatments. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We booked the larger king bedroom and it felt a little smaller than I was expecting. But overall we really enjoyed the room. The bathroom was huge and we enjoyed looking out onto the tile rooftops of the city.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. Everything from pastries to fruit to meats and cheeses and eggs. Nicely done.

All in all, I would stay here again on future visits to Toledo. Everything is so walkable. The hotel is on a quiet side street close to the Jewish Quarter and main Cathedral. Tons of shops and restaurants are close by. Toledo is such a charming town and this hotel matches that charm. It is important to note that it's a small hotel. When I saw the words 'palace' I thought it would be its own stand-alone building, but it's sandwiched between other buildings as well. Regardless, it was still a very enjoyable experience. It's nice to stay in a place with history in such a historic town.

We stayed at this charming and outstanding hotel as a get away for three nights and four days! We had a one bedroom suite and it was great with the lay-out and size. The bathroom was huge and each window allowed you to look over the city and see the sites and roof tops! Everything was walkable and peaceful. The staff was outstanding and we felt like we were pampered during are whole stay. We were greeted by "Juan Diego" upon our arrival and his english and efforts were outstanding! The staff "Roberto Roman" you will find behind the bar and serviing during dinner hours was there to make sure your service was most enjoyable. In the morning there is a buffet (breakfast) which you would not want to miss since the food and personal service "Maria Jose Apecia" (superior service) was there to start your day off to a fantastic start. I would visit again, and stay here, since this hotel is one hard to beat!

We loved this hotel, while I think most of the rooms don't have much of a view we were lucky to be on the top floor and could see the Alcazar from our window. Very cool.

The hotel is named after (and previously owned by) Eugenia de Montijo, a famous Spanish woman of the ages who was empress of France and married to Napoleon the 3rd. It was beautiful and decorated with numerous tributes to her including pearl like chandeliers, stained glass sky lights, and many antiques. The historic home/castle turned hotel was also in an excellent location for exploring the historic area of Toledo. Everything was at most 10 minutes walk.

While there was no parking on site, our 24 hour parking garage was less that 100 steps from the entrance and a good safe spot to leave our car for the duration.

The hotel staff was all amazing too. Prior to check-in, they sent us mails about pending street construction and how to best arrive, where to park, detailed tourist information. So helpful. Honestly a wonderful team.

Breakfast was excellent, served in a small corner, run by one gentleman that does the work of 3. If I ever owned a restaurant I'd want him as a manager! He was bringing out cappuccinos, huge boards of breads and cold cuts. You'd order a-la-carte and we usually ate so much we didn't even need lunch.

The rooms were also moderm and clean. We needed a 2 prong adaptor to plug in our US plugs, but not a problem. The bathroom was clean and modern (recently renovated/redone). We loved the towel warmer and the Nesspresso like coffee machine.

Should we ever return to Toledo we would definitely stay at the Eugenia de Montijo again. Toledo was honestly the most charming city on our recent itinerary. We only spent 2 nights but wished we would have stayed for 3.

The best hotel option in Toledo. The lobby is quite chic and recently redecorated, however the rooms do not match this new aesthetic and feel a bit tired. That being said the hotel is spotless and the service was impeccable, especially Javier at the front desk! I did not find the air conditioning worked well however it was cold enough I could sleep with the windows open with earplugs. There is also no parking as advertised but a garage nearby which charges €25/day to park and has no affiliation with the hotel. Overall I would come back if I found myself in Toledo again.

The hotel is excellent. Close to city centre and the facilities are very nice indeed.
Breakfast too expensive 22 Euros each, for the food they serve they don’t have buffet they bring a board with two slices of cheese, a few slices of presunto, bread , two slices of cake and jam. Then you can request scrambled eggs, omelette or other.

I'm not sure since I tend to go to bed early by Spanish standards. It was always open at least until 9pm and probably is open much later.
