A fascinating and beautiful building that its worth taking some time to explore. Rooms are very stark, with no luxury or creature comforts. Uncomfortable bed, hard pillow and thin linen. No artwork in the rooms although amazing treasures scattered around the hotel. An unusual combination of very simple accommodation set within extraordinary surroundings.

This beautiful hotel is renovated from a monastery and part of it remains so. It is interesting even just to explore the hotel itself and it offers daily tour to its guests to explain its history and grounds. Modern comfortable room, breakfast included properly done, and with the free parking on premise, I found it quite a good deal. The...

Lovely old building with lots of character in convenient location for exploring city of Leon. Guided tour available at 11am each day. Buffet breakfast had good range of choices with pleasant staff. Standard rooms are quite basic but entirely functional.

My husband and I stayed at San Isidoro for one night only, and even though that was in July 2014, I still fondly remember the place, so it clearly made an impact. It's not a hotel, so don't expect fluffy duvets or room service; instead, expect a serene and sacred place with staff who care to preserve history. The location...

Two night stay in Leon and was so pleased to have booked a stay here in advance. The building, a former monastery, is stunning in itself and the free tour offered is well worth taking time to enjoy. Staff very welcoming and friendly. The room was ample for two people and beds comfortable. Room cleaned daily. Breakfast was good, although...

Finding this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. We had the good fortune to be assigned to a room in the just renovated wing of the hotel which was absolutely beautiful. Other wise the service was good, friendly, parking at the hotel and a reasonable breakfast. The building in which it is situated gives one the impression...

This is by far our best hotel on the Camino yet. An old monastery converted into a hotel. The beds are so comfortable and the hotel so quiet that I have had my best sleep on the Camino too. Breakfast was excellent. We had a guided tour of the hotel which was fascinating. Hotel is also very centrally located. Highly...

This was one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in on our Camino walk. The building is so full of amazing history. Take the free walking tour (every day) at 11am and you can get a great closeup of the firmer monastery. The rooms were a great size and we had no complaints at all. The staff were...

I found it to be a great hotel. The old monastery living simplicity is supplemented with modern-day amenities. Great location, mostly away from the din and bustle of the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best of all the hotels I stayed in on my Leon to Santiago walk on the Camino. I...

Great hotel, good location, great food. Hotel is a old monastery and part of building converted to hotel facility. Very helpful staff, secure parking for cycles. Good local food available form hotel restaurant. Great breakfast. Highlight was the tour of the monastery given by the hotel manager. Great stay at Leon, I am happy I booked for two days.
