Friends and I stayed at Molino Galochas while walking the Camino. The place, the owners, the food – all is nothing short of fantastic. The rooms were very clean with very comfortable beds and bedding, and a great shower with lots of hot water. The owners, were warm, friendly and gracious people. They welcomed you as family. Mercedes went out...

This Casa rural is beautifully decorated and the owners (Mercedes and Maximo) are so wonderful! Mercedes made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. She served us drinks with some snacks on arrival. The casa is a converted mill house with a river just behind. Our room facing the front was very comfortable with a large bathroom. Dinner,...

We really enjoyed staying at Molino Galochas whilst doing the Camino. On arrival our host greeted us with tea/ hot chocolate and home made pastries. She made us feel so welcome and the dinner and breakfast were absolutely fantastic. Mercedes is a great cook. So comfortable and quiet was it that I slept for nearly 9 hours.

After walking all day -tired, hot and dusty, we were greeted by Mercedes with cold beers in frosty mugs and tapas. I fell in love immediately! She then brought out two tubs. One was for our laundry and one was to soak our feet in! Wow! Mercedes and Maxima run an establishment that exudes hospitality and warmth. They genuinely want...

Mercdes and Maximo, wife and husband, mange this wonderful oasis and every inch of this place exudes their genorosity and warmth. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. They even washed our clothes and when we went to pay they refused to take any money. When we insisted, Mercedes simply said that a donation dedicated...

A lovely old house,on the alternative camino route. We were six people and arrived on a terriblly wet evening, bedraggled and tired. The lady of the house, Mercedes, collected us from the village, and then provided a meal which I still remember vividly. Galician soup, Pork steaks, and peppers. The food was amazing. The shower was perfect. The beds were...

This is my second stay with the couple who own Molino Galochas and all I can say is stay there, you won't regret it. The food and drink is wonderful and they pick you up from Mazarife, if you phone them. The walk starts from their house the next day, if you are walking the Camino de Santiago. The bedrooms...

I did not want to leave. Mercedes and Maximo were both so wonderful and welcoming. They couldn't do enough for me after I had walked all day in the heat along the Camino from Leon. Beautiful mill property lovingly restored. The meals (dinner and breakfast ) were chef worthy and made from fresh ingredients straight from their garden. I felt...

Arrived to a roaring fire, coffee with homemade biscuits and later wine and home-made cheese from the farm. Hosts were so hospitable and the position of the home over the stream made it exceptional. Highly recommend this place.

I walked the 500 mile trek called the Camino Frances. I stayed in many wonderful albergues and casa rurals along the way. Molino Galochas was the best! My friend had walked a long day in the rain. The albergue in town was closed for the season. We were afraid that we would be walking to the next town on weary...
