This is a family run place in a rustic and idyllic village. It's a quaint place that has character. But the place doesn't have any elevator. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the second floor ourselves. No one from the management side offered any assistance to us or to some other elderly pilgrims who were in...

A nice and welcoming small Inn in Rabanal - León . The Inn keeper was accommodating to all our needs. Dinner was excellent for 11 euros. comfortable accommodations . Ask for the second floor looking at the mountains. Breakfast was continental only I would recommend this Inn

I was never so happy to see a bed. The bed was quite comfy. They placed us on the top floor. That was ok and our own fault because we did not book in advance since we were walking the Camino at the cusp of the high season. We booked a triple and were happy with it. The check-in was...

The is a lovely place at the end of the central road through Rabanal. An old inn with rooms on 3 floors. My room faced the front but the rooms facing the back had the most awesome view of the valley. Rooms are functional and clean but really noisy. You can hear everything going on in the hotel including neighbouring...

We had walked fairly quickly from Astorga and arrived here about noon, which was a bit early to check in. After a drink in the pretty attached bar we advised the lovely man of our arrival. A short while later we were in our room which had a great view over the surrounding snow capped mountains. The room itself was...

Very much enjoyed our stay at La Posada. Slow to check in as the owner is organising check-in, lunch time meals and bar however we were pleasantly surprised when shown to our room. Large, open space, and very clean. The dinner and breakfast were also good. Would recommend to anyone passing through.

La Posada de Gaspar is the last building at the top of the village, directly on the Camino de Santiago. It's a sensitively converted former 17th century pilgrim hospital. I would normally be delighted with this simply furnished, spotlessly clean and comfortable hotel, but after staying in albergues for weeks, it felt like paradise - and the bathroom included a...

Stayed there two years in a row when walking the Camino. Comfortable (for Spanish beds!). Quiet and right next to a 12th church where there is a nightly (mostly) pilgrim mass and beautiful and touching Gregorian chants! Stay here.

We arrived in time for Mother's Day and after a long day of walking on the Camino this was my treat from my husband and children. (Paying a little more than we had been on the Camino). The room was spacious and comfortable. The evening meal was good although breakfast was a shambles in the bar so we moved on...

I have just read some of the other reviews of this place and it looks like you are lucky if you don't get Mr Grumpy as your stay will indeed be pleasant. We unfortunately got Mr Grumpy who seemed to specialise in being as disagreeable as possible- how unfortunate. Vespers at the little church with the delightful Benedictine monk saved...

“I'm guessing the need to lug the suitcase up to third floor is price for retaining building era. It also meant it was very quiet. Given flights are not huge its a small price to pay.”
