I Spent almost 4 months in Pension Salamanca. The cozy, familiar place is fantastic. Prices are good and location is fantastic! In 20 steps you are in PLaza Mayor, calle compania...everywhere. If you travel by car, in Avenida Filiberto Villalobos I found place always, and walked about 700/800mts by foot.
Pension Salamanca is extremely clean, and the people are very atentious to the guests needs! They also have individual rooms and even the rooms with shared bathrooms are great. I Loved staying there and so I recomend it!

Nice affordable private room to break away from the hostel scene for a few nights. Very central and close to Plaza Mayor (which can also be very noisy at night). The only issue I had is that I was told reception would be open at 9 but no one answered the door until 9.30 so I was sitting out in the cold which I was not very happy with.

Salamanca is known for being an expensive city. So paying 19euros/night for a single room was not a surprise. But what surprised me was how hospitable and considerate salamantinos are.
Knowing that I'm arriving super early in the morning, I asked the hostel if I can go there early to leave my luggage so I can roam around hassle-free. They agreed to accept my luggage at 7am.
At exactly 7am, I rang the bell, went up and Rafael, the receptionist/owner gave me the key to my room! I was allowed to check in at 7am!!! OMG! It was freezing outside and I felt so happy to have a warm place to stay.I have my own comfort room, heater, tv, bed good for 2 people and a sofa. 19euros/night is very cheap compared to other hostels!! Breakfast was not included but it doesn't matter. It is close to interesting restaurants, even close to a 24H store where I had un cafecito and bread (with Oscar, the attractive guy on duty hahaha!) ...Wifi is good, the entire hostel is clean and quiet. I will definitely stay here the next time is visit Salamanca. Thanks Rafa!!

Hi Pin A! So good you liked both Salamanca and our property. We always try to be as flexible as possible taking into account our guests' needs. We are aware how tired you can be when traveling and how awkward the train/bus schedules cab be. You are welcome when you come back. Best regards. Saludos.

This pension is located near the Plaza Mayor and on the way to the cathedrals and university, which are the areas that will be interesting to you if youre a tourist. Its also close to the areas with bars.
The rooms are cheap so its a good deal. Of course as a result, you will get a small room and you have to share a bathroom with the whole floor, though you do get a sink in your room. There is also a terrace with a view on the top floor.
Not many people were there on the weekend we were there. The manager was nice and gave us a small heater for our room as the central heating hadn't been turned on yet. As other people have said, for the price you cant do much better.

This is a town I've always wanted to see. It's a long, long way from the typical British tourist haunts, and we only made it here because we consciously decided to spend a week driving around Asturias, Leon, and Cantabria. It was everything I hoped it would be. Those who have been will need no telling. For the rest, all you have to know is that it's home to the world's 4th(?) oldest university and is a World Heritage Site. And our lodgings were slap-bang in the centre.

They were compact, to be fair, but still great value, considering the location, the cleanliness, and the helpful friendliness of the owner. Two warnings, however: the reception is two floors up and the rooms start one floor higher, and there's no lift, so if you have a lot of luggage, you'll get some extra exercise both hauling it all upstairs and then deciding which case you want to open, because you'll be moving all the others out of the way. The second warning is the parking: no big deal, but when we arrived everywhere was very busy, so it might be best to go to the nearest car park, Le Mans, where they take your keys and look after your car for up to 24 hours, although you can always retrieve it earlier.

And then you can surrender yourself entirely to the pleasures of Old Salamanca, which are literally just around the corner. What could be nicer?

We booked late for 2 nights - they were very friendly and helpful. Communication was good and payment was easy. The owner was friendly, the room was nice and clean (TV, small private bathroom, double bed for 33 Euros). There was a little noise from the street but nothing serious. An excellent stay, very easy.

You need to look no further, seriously. Book here.
It doesn't get more central than this, everything is sparkling clean, and the owners, Deborah and Eduardo, are the world's loveliest and most inspiring people. The Pension Salamanca has become my Salamanca home after this trip: it is not only the perfect location, it is a place with a soul.
