Stayed there during short city break, didn't expected much for the price I've payed and got very positively surprised. Only short walk from town, very clean and communal areas nicely decorated. The price also included breakfast!

Despite being somewhat older than their normal clientele, we were warmly welcomed by staff and guests. We had booked a room with private facilities, which were more than adequate for our needs. The beds weren't the most comfortable but they didn't prevent us from sleeping. The one warning I would give to others is that the washing machine and dryer...

Mambo - ideal place for one night stay: close to all (metro, railway station, port, . . .) Personnel: good responsive. Even have received the gift: bootle of cava. If You need to go to port: take a shuttle from near the Columbus monument.

A very clean and cozy hostel with helpful staff who treated you like friends. After the receptionist knew that we were planning to visit la Sagrada Familia, she assisted us to buy online ticket and explained us how to travel there. The bathroom was super clean and towel was provided. Simple breakfast was served in the pantry area too. Only...

This hostel is close to everything - we walked around every day. The reception were incredibly nice and welcoming and made our stay easy. There's not much of a social atmosphere and while they do have cheap sangria nights you have to drink it at the reception desk. Other than that the rooms were clean, that staff nice and the...

The location of the hostel is great, walking distance to the La Ramblas but also a 2 minute walk to the metro station (which you can use with €1 rides with the T10 metro card). The room and bathrooms were very clean. The common area downstairs, kitchen and sitting room, is beautiful although small. The only downside was the old...

My priorities for accommodation are: -cheap -clean -safe -central location in an area with life on the streets -character -not a party hostel Mambo Tango ticked all the boxes for me. The breakfast was included and was sufficient too, which is a plus.

Our stay at mambo tango was marred somewhat by the first night, after which I was ready to give a rare 1-star review. I'll put the story of this at the end of the review so you can judge for yourself how much you want the atypical experience to affect your decision. Thankfully we stayed another 8 nights (longer than...

I was visiting Barcelona with a friend of mine for a week. The location of the hostel was great! There is a street full of tapas bars right around the corner and the shopping street and beach are fairly close. We stayed in a room for six people. The room was clean and simple with some lockers and a nice bathroom...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
