My husband and I stayed here for 3 weeks in 2019 and coved it so after pandemic subsided we came back for another 3 weeks. Catalonia Port has so much to offer: great location convenient walk to many sites. Excellent caring staff, great hot water and water pressure any time of the day, clean, beds are most comfortable ones we ever slept in, the hotel director sent us gifts of wine/champagne/fruit/nuts/bread several times via room service, breakfast buffet is huge and very diverse including fresh squeezed orange juice and espresso machine as well as eggs/omelets/sandwiches/croissants/cheeses/meats/fresh fruit/cereals/desserts/etc., the place is so clean that we saw them washing down the walls in the hallways by our room, nice lobby and bar area, walking distance to many fine restaurants and tapa bars, easy to catch a taxi to go longer distances, and much more. We went to a supermarket a couple doors down the street to buy snacks and drinks. We dropped off loads of laundry once a week at a full service laundry a short distance on same street as hotel— got our clothes back clean and folded in a few hours. We will definitely come back here again when we are in Barcelona. They gave us a good discount for being a repeat customer which was an unexpected bonus.

This hotel was even better than I expected. The public areas were modern and attractive. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, large shower, plenty of power plugs, a nice minibar, and a little balcony. Everything was scrupulously clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and advised us about the free Catalonia rewards program, which gave us an immediate discount on our room and food/beverages. The breakfast was amazing, with a DIY Bloody Mary bar, cava, and wines and a huge assortment of tasty breakfast treats including on-demand hot food. The location was great: 5 minutes walk to a metro and the Ramblas and a little farther to the waterfront at Barceloneta. There is a grocery store in the same block which was handy for incidentals. I will definitely stay here again.

Everyone who worked here from receptionist to room service were very nice, friendly and professional. They greeted us with a big smile every time we walked in and addressed all our questions in a very professional way. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The last day of our stay was a rainy day and they made every effort for us to get a cab and get on it without getting wet. Location is very close to Ramblas and the port surrounded by nice tapas bars, restaurants and cafes. Strongly recommended.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel bookending a Med cruise. Fantastic location and excellent staff. The room was small but well appointed with two large twin beds, a sitting area with a view of the pool and a large bathroom. Loved the tapas and drinks in the evenings and was even surprised on our second night with a tasty fruit and chocolate platter. What a wonderful touch! We didn't take advantage of the breakfast (extra cost) in the basement, but the restaurant looked great. Wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

Kindness poured out from the registration desk upon my entering the lobby. The clerk greeted me with a smile, went outside going around the corner and carried my luggage inside. His unending patience with my barrage of queries circa directions, establishments at which to dine, times to arrival at specific locales made the anxieties dissipate rapidly under the cloud of needing to evacuate the country due to a travel ban the next day.

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay at the Catalonia Port. Incredibly friendly team - Pablo was super helpful and friendly, as was the gentleman who checked us in at night (I didn’t catch his name, unfortunately), the bartender… everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly and quick to offer help or a recommendation.

The location is amazing - centrally located, a short walk to many monuments, to the gothic quarter, and to loads of restaurants and bars. My wife and I loved wandering from the hotel without a specific destination. We felt completely safe in all of the surrounding areas. We were a slightly longer (but still short, ~15 minute) walk to the beach and to Catalunya Plaza.

Nice amenities - nice pool, bar, and small gym. The room was larger than we expected. We’d absolutely stay here again if/when we return to Barcelona!

Tip: try Petit Tapas down the street. Sensi was recommended and had all of the lines… but we were able to walk into Petit 2 doors down and had an absolutely amazing meal!

Great hotel minutes from Las Ramblas, Port Vell, Barcelona Cathedral - also minutes from 2 metro lines to get to Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia. Many, many restaurants close by and located in the Gothic Quarter with old winding alleys - great for just strolling around. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We had a one night stay here to give us an extra day to explore the wonderful city of Barcelona before starting our cruise.

The hotel is very well situated and has a nice modern feel. We arrived before check-in but were offered drinks and told our room would be ready in around 20 to 30 minutes. Check-in was very good and everything well explained. We were given a triple on the third floor room 306 overlooking the pool.

The room was a good size and a nice bathroom, only criticism is no lock on bathroom door. Towels and toiletries all good and the bed was comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Despite its location it was very quiet and no street noise.

Outside the hotel lots of dining options as well as a supermarket.

For breakfast we wandered down into the restaurant at the hotel, again the staff very good and the food selection and presentation very good, fresh coffee, orange juice and smoothies all available as well as a great selection of cereals, yoghurts and cold meats and cheeses and fresh bread. The hot selection also very good. When you check in they give you the option to sign up for a free account that gives you a discount on the breakfast, so it's well worth doing and eating in the hotel.

Any interaction we had with staff was very good, we had to get some paperwork printed for our cruise, this was done without any issues and the staff are a credit to the hotel. Christina so helpful, but all staff are very good. If you're looking for a great place to stay, look no further.

Our stay was outstanding! While we loved the hotel location (easy walking to restaurants/bars/cafes), the facilities and our room; it was the staff who absolutely deserve a shoutout for their amazing customer service! The front desk staff of Victor and Javier were great with answering questions, calling a cab and just being there with a willingness to pitch in and help whenever and wherever needed. Speaking of pitching in we would be remiss to not thank Marcel and Isaac for their assistance in helping us with luggage, making a drink at the bar, finding us and iron and ironing board; to just being ready to help us and other guests at any time. Food wise we have high praise for Dayana who was nothing but smiles and making sure we were well taken care of to even herself being there to play bartender when needed. My wife and I can't speak highly enough about just how friendly, professional, accommodating and helpful this hotel's staff is. We would not hesitate to recommend it and stay there ourselves again. This was a very high end customer service experience for a very fair price. Thanks so much!

Very nice hotel in a great location. The staff were very helpful with directions because the Gothic quarter is complicated.
Really appreciated the early check in, because we were jet lagged.
Bathrooms were a good size, enough space around the sinks and beds were quite firm. There is a taxi stand in a plaza near by. We had a great meal at Sensi Tapas just down the street, you must make a reservation well in advance. This hotel is good value for what they offer.

We didn’t head up there. But looking at google maps a taxi will take around 20 minutes or the D20 bus that stops on the main road a few minutes in front of the hotel will take you there. Ask at reception and I’m sure they’ll keep you right. Have a great time!
