Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friends and I highly recommend against staying at Art Hotel due to its incompetent security and management team. Their security guards are absolutely crazy and are not only overreaching but confrontational to an unacceptable degree. During our stay, one of our friends was physically assaulted so severely by the security staff that he ended up with a broken arm, (see photo for proof) requiring a cast upon his return home. This incident alone highlights the extreme and unacceptable nature of the staff's behaviour. This hotel is a definite no-go if you are looking for a respectful and professional environment.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and was blown away by the service and attention to detail. The staff really goes out of their way to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. The hotel is located just off the beach and most rooms have amazing views. Rooms are larger than standard and are well fitted. The breakfast buffet is very large with options for everyone. We also ate at Pantry, where the service and food were outstanding. Really not much I would change about this hotel. I hope to return

One negative detail, so will get that out of the way. The hotel furnishings could use an update. But that doesn't matter even a little bit because the service in the hotel is the absolute best we have encountered in a long time. From the amount of staff always on duty to the friendly smiles, it is top notch. If you ask for a car at 7:25, the car will be there on time. The answer is always "yes, we can do that." The location is awesome if you want to be down by the water/marina. Highly recommend the Club Level access. They put out a SPREAD all day long. You could legitimately eat all of your meals there (but you shouldn't be the restaurants in Barcelona are not to be missed). The people truly make the difference in this location. Highly recommend. (The Penthouse views are breathtaking!)

Exceptional service and excellent location near the beach. From the moment we checked in the staff at this hotel was attentive and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had what we needed to enjoy our stay. We utilized the gym which was clean and had modern equipment. We also enjoyed a relaxing massage with skilled therapists and followed that with a 45 min private use of the water area and sauna. It was a great way to end our visit .

Wow We stayed at Hotel Arts for 2 nights as part of our “special anniversary “ celebrations. We had a deluxe panoramic Room on the 22 floor, thank you for the upgrade 😊. The team had prepared our room beautifully and gave us complimentary cava and chocolates ❤️ It has been a VERY long time since we experienced such amazing service. Every single person we interacted from arrival to departure was amazing and a few in particular were outstanding ….a special mention to amazing Snow ( on breakfast service ) wow , she was exceptional . So warm , attentive and genuinely beautiful. Julia Anne ( on check in , please forgive me if I have got your name wrong ) and Daniel from Sales team to name a few . Thank you all for the warm and wonderful welcome. We will be back to this fabulous hotel.

Perfect location near the beach, perfect views over the city, perfect service of the staff, great food in the restaurants, great bar. Simply nothing to complain. Very satisfied with the stay. It's definitely not cheap, but absolutely worth the money.

I’ve never been to place where I felt so welcome and at home. Everyone from Roxy as the concierge, Constanta at the front desk, to the amazing staff at Pantry (Oliver, Robin, Leonard, Carmilla (?)), Shayne, Snow and Poncharu of the breakfast crew made my stay an amazing experience. If I got your names wrong, I apologise- I have a crappy memory. The hotel is wonderfully equipped with a well stocked coffee bar and offers a good range of bathroom products. For those who care, the range of available free TV channels stretches across national and about 30 international channels. For those who want to keep moving during their stay, pack your running shoes. The beach walk is perfect for both promenade and running. I hope soon to return on my next trip.

The property itself was very nice but the area is quite dangerous for theft. I was mugged in the evening just a block from the property and had my purse, phone, and all my cash/credit cards/identification stolen. The property was rather apathetic about it and told me it happens all the time. They made no effort to help in contacting police nor getting me to a police station to file a report, despite the fact that I was traveling alone. I would have hoped for a better level of service for an incident that happened within eyesight of the property.

Wow what an great weekend! We visited to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and the front desk and guest services team went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic time, including a cake and amazing balloons waiting for us in our room. The services throughout the whole hotel was impeccable, the food was delicious and the spa was such a treat - make sure you book to use one of the private Spa water areas either before or after a treatment.

Exceptional hotel and service throughout our stay. This is a high end hotel now run through the Marriot group. All service was above and beyond during our recent city break in Barcelona. From check in Justus to check out…. we couldn’t fault it. Sadly not quite warm enough for outside swimming but looks like a top spec pool. Superb service of free taxi service to Playa Catyluna was a bonus too. Would recommend all round.
