The location is the main reason that you will book this hotel, it is fantastic location and we had a room with a balcony which was great. I think it was about a 15 minute walk to the beach, really close to the Metro and city centre. The rooms are basic but adequate and clean for the short stay that... More

The place was easy to find if you understand how to read street signs, but like one of our previous places, the pension reception office was not located on the ground floor. We found reception on floor #3, which really is the sixth floor in this building, for check in. The room was very nice with a tiny balcony 50... More

We stayed here a few nights on short notice. It was in a great location but was quite small and lacked fresh air. The shower and bathroom were tiny and filled with water when you showered. The owner was friendly and kept the room clean but it was to small for a couple.

I choose this pension because of the location in Gothic quarter and price is very affordable. Room is SXS but okay, if you come late you have to call the hotel first, otherwise you may stuck in the street.

We're an elderly couple, and this was booked for us to be near parking, and easy access to the metro. Hint: keep a picture of the building from the booking - this is a main artery and finding it can be difficult. It's above a restaurant called Cappuchino. Hint 2: when you get there, catch the lift up to the... More

Me and my partner booked into this hotel mainly due to the price being so cheap and the reviews of the location being amazing. They were right, the location is really good - opposite a metro station and just five minutes walk to La Rambla. The hotel itself is basic but just what you need for a short stay in... More

I'd never stayed in a hostel before, but this exceeded my expectations. My daughter and I shared a room with a private bath. We had two twin beds and our room faced the street. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect, right next to a Metro station, adjacent to Barre Gothic and a short walk to... More

My boyfriend and I booked Pensión Casa Blanca because it was affordable compared to a lot of the other centrally located hotels in the area. I was slightly worried about how 'basic' it would be but I needn't have. The location is absolutely amazing, right next to Barcelona Cathedral, in the beautiful, interesting Gothic Quarter and across the road from... More

The room was small but in a cute way, it had recently been refurbished and was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and a small balcony offered a good view of the surrounding area. Good value for money, great location, definitely would stay again.

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
