Lovely, quirky hotel in an absolutely fabulous spot. Hotel staff were superb: incredibly friendly and helpful.

Rooms were a good size, cleaned to a high standard every day and the shower was incredibly powerful. Our room also contained a fridge, free safe and even a cooker and sink, though we ate out every night and so didn’t use them.

The hotel is in a great spot for Las Ramblas and the harbour, but is also close to Raval which can be a bit dodgy at night so if you’re an all female couple make sure you go the right way when coming out of the hotel. We never encountered any problems, or felt unsafe throughout our entire stay - it’s like why city: keep your wits about you.

The hotel is very close to Dressanes metro which is great for getting around, though I’d recommend simply walking as there is so much to see on foot. Also, there is an aerobús which terminates at the top of Las Ramblas which I would recommend if you are light on luggage - it’s about a 15 min walk from Hotel Sixties.

All in all, a superb experience and wonderful hotel. We would definitely stay again.

The location of this hotel is great, however it lacks in space and breakfast facilities.
Because non clients are allowed to dine at the restaurant, it leaves very little space for paying clients to dine, especially during the breakfast rush.
I had to ask a very sour face girl to cl an a table for me, like it was too much trouble for her.
The lack of breakfast items was quite disappointing, when I asked for plain yogurt, there wasn't any left, and they produced green bananas which were too unripe to eat.
With the amount of outside clients coming in, it's just too much for the hotel to handle, in the already small space for breakfast.
This was a real disappointment.
I wouldn't stay here again.
The pillow in the bedroom was stained yellow, and the mattress was very springy.

This quirky little hotel was perfect for our stay in Barcelona. We loved the car in the foyer and the vintage suitcases that support the check-in desk. It is a couple of minutes' walk from a Metro station, and just around the corner from La Rambla, making getting around very easy.
The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The wall had a mural of composite black and white photos from the sixties, echoing the theme of the hotel very well.
We ate in the bar area several times and the tapas were very good and we enjoyed their house wine.
The service from the front desk people couldn't have been more helpful and they had Metro maps and tourist information readily available, making it simple to work out what we wanted to do.
The only downside is that we found the room to be very dark even though there was a floor to ceiling window. The walls are painted dark grey and the flooring is a similar colour, but that's certainly not a deal breaker for us.
I made the mistake of forgetting to pack a very treasured item when we left, and they found it and kept it for me. We arranged for it to be couriered to our Madrid hotel and it arrived intact and safely. The honesty and integrity of their staff cannot be faulted, and their assistance in arranging a courier and getting all that sorted out was very much appreciated.
We definitely recommend this hotel as a good base for a Barcelona visit.

There was nothing not to like about Hotel Sixties except it would have been nice to have the bar open later. Breakfast was standard with choice of bacon and fried egg or omelete and the coffee was great. Friendly staff. Highlight was great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Simple and very convenient. TV left much to desire for English speaking people. Didn't even have CNN. But overall for the price and location it's a cool and safe hotel.
Hint, get a room with a balcony if you can.

Great Location to enjoy La Rambla, The Port, The Promenade, The Shopping, and to explore The Gothic Quarter.

Comfortable property, situated just off La Rambla so away from the potential street sounds. Friendly and helpful reception staff willing to assist with any inquiries as well as suggest and book local tours. Housekeeping was smooth and efficient.

The rooms are not large by any means but are clean and comfortable.

Breakfast is served in the only Bar/Restaurant between 7:30 am and 11:30 am and also caters to walk-ins. The later you turn up for breakfast, the more crowded it gets. A point that I feel like I have to make is that the buffet breakfast was unchanged on all 5 days.

Overall, well worth the stay.

Overall, it was a very nice and comfy experience. The bed was the right amount of hard and we had two sizes of pillows. The room had a functioning AC and it was cleaned every day (our towels were changed and bed was made). The only bad thing I would point out was the fact that there was a big gap between the door and the frame and a big led light in the corridor; so even though the curtains were excellent, there was a lot of light in room at night. We solved this problem by paper tissues, but it wasn't ideal.
But all in all we loved our stay there and we would give it 4,5 out of 5!

Had a nice stay here for 2 nights pre cruise. Front desk staff was awesome as were bartenders. We were able to check in early after flying all night
Then we’re give a place very close to test for Covid so we could board the cruise
Olympia was great at night for some local restaurants she recommends.
Staff also helped us get taxis when needed.
Rooms clean and comfortable
Great location.
Only drawback is alley ways were a bit noisy at night. But all in all a very nice stay at a local place

I loved my stay here! I had never been to Barcelona before, so at first I was unsure about the location, but it ended up being perfect! There is so much to do within walking distance, but taxis are also easy to get. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! At first it was a little strange to have to turn in my room key every time I left the hotel, but I think it helped staff to know who is staying in the rooms vs eating at the restaurant. The breakfast was good and I loved that it was available until 11:30. The only thing I might say is that toiletries were slim in the bathroom. They provided shampoo, body wash, and soap only. No conditioner, lotion, or even a washcloth. I packed lightly since I was traveling across Spain, and these items had been provided at pervious hotels. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Fantastic for families and the practical traveler. Staff at reception and bar/breakfast were consistently helpful and friendly. Early Check in was a huge and much appreciated plus! Location was a minute walk to the Drassanes metro stop / green line that runs struggling up La Rambla and beyond. This made for easy access to most of the common Gaudi attractions and variety of shopping. We loved the quick access to the Gothi Quarter without always being surrounded by tourists, same for water access at the port. We look for location, budget friendly, and cleanliness when choosing accommodations.

My husband and I stayed here during our recent visit to Barcelona. The location is perfect at the bottom of La Rombla between the Gothic Quarter and El Raval. Many wonderful neighborhoods are walkable from the hotel including Barceloneta, El Born, L’Eixample plus it’s a quick trek to the beach. The rooms have a great amount of space. We had a room with a full balcony, there was not much of a view but it provided a lovely private outdoor space which was great. The breakfast is simple and yummy. However, the thing we loved most about the hotel was the staff, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The biggest shout-out goes to Jacob. He is a complete superstar! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone else!
