Although we loved the bustle and activity of downtown Barcelona and Las Ramblas, we couldn't have been more thankful to stay farther out at Primero Primera. This hotel is beautiful in every nook. The common spaces are comfortable with interesting decor. There's a little garden...More

A beautifully appointed hotel in a good location for our needs. This is very slightly out of the centre of Barcelona but a fairly easy walk or metro ride to the centre.

We stayed at the Primero Primera over the Easter weekend. The room was lovely and full of character. The bed was big and very comfy, meaning we had a great night's sleep at the end of each long day of sightseeing. The bathroom was also...More
I come to Barcelona every year and Primero Primera is the only hotel that I've insisted on visiting again. I stayed in an attic room again, A5, that was just lovely - spacious with great character and a view of the mountains. The hotel is...More

We had a large one bedroom apartment on the second floor. The bathroom had a solid door, not a glass partition. The bathroom was very spacious and nice, with separate areas for the tub and the shower. Plenty of privacy. I don't recall the exact amount we pain per night but it was more than 300 euros, but not a lot more as I recall, and we thought it was a great value. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I hope we get to go back again some day.
We used the public airport shuttle bus called the Aerobús. I believe it was around 5 euro each way. Takes you to the city center, from there, we rode the metro rail. You can buy a multi ride pass for 10 euro.

If you have lots of luggage and want an easy option, then a taxi would be best. This will probably take about15 minutes and can be a good way to see some of the city. However, it is really easy to get to the hotel by metro and that is how we did it. It will also be cheaper and not much different timewise. From Estacio Sants, go to Diagonal metro and then Les Tres Torres. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk away and it is a good way to orient yourself. If you are going to be in Barcelona for a couple of days then I would suggest getting a metro pass as a cost effective way of getting around - if you are doing more than 5 metro trips, it is certainly better value having a pass than paying separately. Enjoy Barcelona.
