La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.

Rooms are small but housekeeping was quite O.K.. Bathroom not that good. When you shower water come out on the floor and there are chances to slip. Location of the hotel is perfect nearby to all the sights. Front desk applied a very high exchange rate.

The hotel was very well located for the things we wanted to do. Reception staff were very good and friendly. Room was spotless clean. Beds made up every day. Can't fault the hotel, but extremely noisy on a night time, struggled to sleep.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in a room on the 4th floor overlooking la Rambla. The hotel is a beautiful old building yet rooms feel modern, bathroom was fine with toiletries provided and a powerful hot shower. We took teabags but there were tea/coffee making facilities

Location couldn't be better. Right on the world famous Las Ramblas. Definitely worth booking a de luxe room overlooking the street. You may suffer a little street noise but it is the sound of a wonderful city outside your room. However the double glazing is very efficient in

We have just stayed in this hotel for a long weekend. I’ve booked directly with the hotel, and this included free breakfast and free cancellation, and price was more than reasonable. Before we arrived i’ve written to the hotel and asked if there was tea facility in the room,

We hired a taxi from the airport. It’s easily available. There is no point keeping a car if you are staying at oriente since it’s on la ramblas and parking would be a challenge and there is enough public transport available.

Hi. The hotel is a walking distance to the sea (maybe 10min, walking slowly). But, to get to a beach you will have to walk more. You ca also take a taxi: there are many taxis available, and they are not expensive. If your plan is to go to the beach everyay and visit the city center just once, maybe it is wise to get another hotel. Otherwise, the location of this hotel is quite good.

The room I had was supplied with a kettle so hot water should be available. No idea about kids beds. Just call the hotel!

What is the easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport and approximate cost please?
Definitely the airport bus A2. Pick it up right outside the terminal, they come every 10mins. Think we paid about 10euros roughly. It is a 10-15min walk to hotel walking down the lovely Las Ramblas. Was nice and easy
