El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.

We’re currently enjoying our second stay at the H10 Montcada. We love this hotel as it’s in a great location, the rooms are lovely, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We’ve previously stayed in a standard room, which was really lovely, if a little on the small side -

We spent the weekend with another couple and we discovered a great place, top service, nice rooms and very nice people being very helpful to give us ideas to visit the city. This was our first visit and the support given was great. The bar is also a very nice place for a drink.

Thank you very much for your comments that are essential for the constant improvement of the hotel service. Stayed here for three nights in a Classic Room. Room: was not large but was immaculately clean and tastefully done, not exactly a stunning view but we weren't in it for the view. If you want a better view book a room or you can upgrade at check-in. A special mention to

We took a taxi from the airport to the Montcada. Taxis are still the preferred means of transportation in Barcelona, Uber has not taken over the way it has in New York. It was about a 20 minute ride and I think it cost us about 15 or 20 Euros.
