I have read reviews saying that it is noisy. Yes the outside facing rooms are, but the inside courtyard ones are fine . You must remember that you are in the historical area and it is full of people and life . I found the...More
We have just returned from a short break in Barcelona, staying at the Hotel Barcelona House. The room was okay, clean and beds quite comfy. The probem was the noise, we were on the second floor at the front of the hotel. I have stayed...More
Visited with 12 friends for a 40th birthday celebration, fantastic location just off La Rambla hence the 4 star rating. Hotel is very clean, beds were mediocre but for crashing after a long day wandering, eating and drinking it was fine. Shower - brilliant! Breakfast...More
This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring central Barcelona. The hotel is very modern and clean, and the room has a lovely shower to refresh after a day exploring in the Catalan heat. Good luggage storage around the check in/out times.

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

I agree that the breakfast is good but make sure you have your room card and you remember your room number, at least for the first time you go to breakfast. One of the workers asked me to show them the card and give them my room information. The best way is probably to take a taxi. However it is equally possible to take a train to Gracia and then take a taxi from there to the hotel. Now that I know the place and can speak quite a lot of Spanish it is what I would do. If you are coming for the first time I would advise take a taxi.
