PROS Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. In (20-30min) walking distance of the beach and the Old Town, and right opposite Metro station. Very good value for money. Free internet. CONS Rather lacking in character or atmosphere - both the hotel and the neighbourhood it's in. SUMMARY I was really pleased with this hotel for two...

We stayed two nights prior to joining a cruise ship. The staff were helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Our room was on the second floor at the front but we were not disturbed by traffic noise. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. We had dinner the first evening which was fine except the restaurant lacked atmosphere....

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
