Very good apartments, probably not the biggest I have stayed ever, but that is a typical old town very central location. The apartments are very close to the Las Ramblas Avenue, and plenty of good shops and restaurants around. There was aircondition in the room, and the internet works well and it is free. There is also a very nice...

Firstly the good: ~the location is great, 2 mins walk from Las Ramblas and the amazing food market. ~The apartment is as advertised, a studio in a typical le raval apartment block ~The price is OK, 105e per night is good compared to UK rates ~The check in is not as complicated as fearer and the meeting place & apartments...

I had a very bad experience with this place, the apartment was really dirty, internet essentially didn't work and at the end they didn't give me the deposit back. The behavior of these people is far to be professional, they never replied to our calls when we had problems. In few words, avoid it!

Unfortunately, the only good thing about this apartment is the location. Having seen the pictures on Expedia, we honestly believed we had been given the wrong room. The place was extremely small. Having chosen to stay at an apartment for their laundry facilities, we were again disappointed to find the washing machine broken. The fridge had broken shelving which limited...

For the same price, just up the road you should stay at Hotel Curious instead – MUCH better!! First of all, we had to call the guy to meet him to find the room which is in a stingy alleyway - looks like a murder scene.. then we had to carry 2 x 20kgs suitcases up 4 flights of narrow...

I stayed at Ramblas Point for four nights and it was an...how shall I put it...unusual experience. First of all, Ramblas Point is not a hotel. It is a dozen studio apartments located in a regular residential building in the Raval disctrict of Barcelona. There is no reception. After you land at the airport, you call the owner and he...

Hugely disappointing! We booked this apartment for 3 people (not cheap, 501 euros for 4 nights) in August 2012 and were looking forward to have a good holiday. Few days before departure we were informed by the management team that there was no elevator in this 5 storey building but we would have our room on first floor. Alarm bells...

This really was the most dissapointing accommodation of all my hotels this holiday. The location is close, and isn't a long walk from the city. However this is probably the only positive point I have. The place is a rundown apartment block that has been refreshed with some stencil sheet walls and a lot of color to distract you from...

I stayed at Ramblas Point for a week with a friend and we had a great stay there! The location was amazing, right near La Ramblas and the Liceu metro stop. it's also really close to the market, a nice perk. The apartment was super clean when we showed up. Since the air conditioning wasn't working, they put a fan...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

“Maybe ask who else is renting the units while you're planning to stay there. We had the unfortunate experience of having a large group young males (20-22yrs?) staying at the same time. they were loud and inconsiderate of the other vacationers. Not the fault of the staff or Ramblas Point at all but if you're looking for a more quiet stay then maybe ask who else will be sharing the stairwell.”
