It is well located next to city center, but that's its only advantage. The room was just correct but not very clean. The bathroom was small, the shower curtain was dirty and the wall had mildew. In the entrance hall, just in front of the elevator, we even found a few dead cockroaches. We had a triple room but there...

We were in the Hostel for 3 nights up until 16th April 2016, Room was clean with 3beds and built in bathroom and towels. We loved it the hostel was an old building and it had all the original stairs ect. We did not have breakfast because we wanted to get out in the morning early. The location was perfect...

The Hostal is located quite centrally and within walking distance to most of the standard tourist attractions. This was quite convenient for us and in fact we never used public transport (but then again we like walking - you see more!). The rooms are fairly compact and ours had a built-in ensuite. Having said that, it was a bit of...

The worst was that We were put in a double room near the door and was very noisy kept people constantly come and go, and people became staf and talking near our door and it was very annoying in the morning. The bathroom is extremely small, when you shower is around the waterlogged...

I am sincerely disappointed long before I arrived in this Hostal. I had booked a room for two days under free cancellation policy via booking.com. Cancellation policy says only that 100% of the first night will be charged 20 days before as a deposit. Actually as I were interested about the Hostal and room I have booked and they have...

The Hostal is in a good location, it is very clean, lovely staff. Twin and triple rooms are available. We had air con and WiFi, rooms are en-suite with the use of a communal fridge and lounge. The room at the front didn't really suffer from external noise, but you can hear everyone in reception, so the noise level depends...

Excellent and helpful staff. Location is also excellent and the essential places in Barcelona are in a walking distance. But surely you get get a metro which is very close. Room was small and not so quiet but we weren´t looking for luxury, but just a good place to stay.

great central location, walking distance to most places and taxis are cheap. historic building so not very modernised, ie. shared bathrooms on each floor. room for our family with 2 small kids was large and clean. it's on a big busy street but the rooms at the back were completely quiet. movie style rustic elevator (which tends to break down),...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
