The Grand Hotel Central is simply perfect. I was a solo female traveller and I honestly felt like it was my home. I felt safe at all times. The location is perfect. Easy walk to Gothic Quarter, Rambla, the Harbor, Picasso Museum, MOCO, Barcelona Cathedral and tons of shops and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious every morning. My room (I had a junior suite) was very large and comfortable. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. The rooftop bar and the bistro on the first floor were also great. I want to go back next month! I loved it. My daughter (who lives in Barcelona) said I could not have picked a better location. Thank you Grand Hotel Central!

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days in November 2023. It was a special trip to celebrate my youngest daughter’s 21st birthday, and as a surprise we were joined by her brother and sister 2 days into the trip. All the staff at this hotel were exceptional. Everyone kept the secret and went above and beyond to make our daughter’s birthday really special. She had a wonderful surprise and birthday. Special thanks go to Jonathan, Abdel and the staff of Bistro Helena for looking after us so well. Housekeeping was also very good. Rooms were very clean. Water was provided daily and also a turn down service. The food at Bistro Helena and the Sky bar was very good. We are at the hotel several times. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel again and look forward to seeing it after the refurbishment when they reopen in March 2024.…

We stayed here a couple of days post cruise. The hotel was beautiful and located close to a lot of major tourists sites. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our entire stay. We were greeted with smiles upon arrival. We were able to check-in early which was greatly appreciated after a long travel. The rooftop Skybar/Pool area was beautiful with and provided an amazing view of the city. We would definitely book here again. Enjoyed the hotel and staff.

This is a wonderful hotel!! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom and bath tub are great. I loved the nightly turn down service with chocolates. There was also a nice selection of coffee and teas in the room. The locarion was great and it was walking distance to many attractions. The spa was small but the masseuse was fantastic - my legs and back were sore from walking and sightseeing and after the massage I was pain-free. I swear she has magical, healing hands!! The rooftop bar has an amazing view and the food, drinks and staff up there are wonderful too. The front desk/doormen staff was amazing - friendly, attentative and professional. Juan Carlos at the front desk was particularly helpful and even chased down a taxi for me one busy morning during rush hour when taxis were scarce. Overall I can't say enough good things about this hotel and I will definitely stay here again!! Highly, highly recommend!!…

Stayed here for a week and we were treated very very well by all the staff. The staff were very very polite but relaxed. I asked the concierges for advice and they were just lovely. All of the recommendations were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The waiting staff from breakfast to the restaurant and Sky bar were all charming, helpful and welcoming. The food was great. The booking process was great we were able to request interconnected rooms and the price was no different from that charged by Expedia. The hotel is very close to everything and we had no problem at all with pick pockets and both my daughter and I felt safe. This hotel is a fantastic base for exploring Barcelona.

All staff are friendly and go the extra mile. Front of house couldn’t be more helpful with a friendly but not imposing approach. Domestic staff kept the room immaculate and requests were dealt with immediately. Rooftop bar and pool were greatly appreciated. Altogether a great stay.

Walking out of the elevator, immediately facing a great view over Barcelona! Juan and Oliver who served my friends and I, were so kind and lovely. Great recommendations. Irene, Alejandro were outstanding and consistent. We spent 4 nights and it went by very fast. The room was specious and quiet even though the work on the front street. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the personal very friendly. The check-out was very smooth. The only little grey point was the massage I got. It was expensive and the therapist lost a lot of time between sides, taking time re filling oil for the massage.

The staff was so attentive and friendly. The room was modern, clean and a decent size. The top feature of this hotel is definitely the (unheated) infinity pool on the roof terrace with beautiful views over Barcelona. Even in late October some folks were courageous enough to have a swim. My recommendation to the hotel would be to upgrade this pool to a heated one, so it could be used out if season as well. Overall, a fantastic experience in a centrally located hotel within reach of so many attractions in Barcelona.
