I asked for a "quiet room" so my double room with private bathroom wasn't facing the street, as such, I found the hostel quiet. The rooms are basic, but clean. Bed is very comfortable and the price includes linen. You do get soap, but I stayed for 4 nights so was glad I had bought soap with me as I...

Stayed here for four nights. Staff was helpful and the rooms were very clean. Convenient location, taxi's just opposite the hotel. Everything is nearby. When we checked out there was a possibility to leave the luggage and to take a shower when we came back at the end of the day.

We stayed at the hostel for 2 weeks. Mostly sightseeing so we only spent nights there. We had room upstairs with double bed and bathroom both were nice and clean. Wi-Fi was not very reliable but enough to check e-mails and plan our next days. It was very weak and slow in the evenings/nights probably overutilized because in the early...

We stayed here after some travel and were desperate for a comfortable clean place. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well presented clean and comfortable. The hotel is on a very busy road but we were high up and it didn't bother us much especially with the doors closed. You couldn't really...

It is a very nice hostal, ideally located with Del Born, Parc de la Ciutadella, La Rambla all within walking distance. We got a double room with a private bathroom on the 4th floor of the building. The view from the room is good - I liked sitting near the window watching people walk by. They clean the rooms every...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
