Stayed here in March. Staff were very helpful, room was clean and very basic. A good location for getting around Barcelona, metro stops about 400 yards away.Very close to the railway station, this was the reason for picking this Hotel. A lot of bars and restaurants close by. Very quiet in the Hotel. Would stay here again, good value for...

This hotel is perfect for relaxing. It has an opulent feel from the minute you walk through its doors. The staff was efficient and courteous. We stayed for just one night but thoroughly enjoyed our night there. Our room was immaculate, bright, clean.

Stayed here twice in Feb and again in June to attend trade shows in Barcelona. As a cheap room for the night it is in a perfect location for Fira Barcelona and Fira Gran Via - both within walking distance. Close to Pl Espanya which is a metro station with good links around the city.

This hotel is a typical budget hotel. Do not expect luxury. That said it was clean and the staff friendly and efficient. It's on the main road that runs through Mondjuic so it's very busy all day and all night, We stayed in room 705 on the top floor and it was still a tad noisy in the day, That...

One star hotel with a very good location. It's only few mins walk to Arena and Fountain. You get what you pay so you don't have to expect anything awesome. The room is just okay, quite old and no aircondition. There is a fan in a room though. There is no free wifi, no minibar. Bathroom is just okay too....

+ Friendly staff + Great location close to Mont-Jüic - No air-conditioning, just a dusty fan - No free wifi - No minibar Great place for a quick visit. Simple, slightly old-fashioned room without extra commodities. In August might be a bit too hot, though.

THIS HOTEL DOES NOT PROVIDE FREE WIFI. It is pretty upsetting in 2016. You have to go to the small (and excellent) coffee shop just aside. It is on a very busy street too. Bring earplugs. But, it is well situated. It is a five minute walk to go the plaza de espanya, which is pretty useful. It is clean...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
